Every paragraph after the introduction should employ 1-2 argumentative topic sentences that should simultaneously tell us 1) the topic of the paragraph in question, 2) the argument that Alexander is making regarding that topic. Think of the first 1-2 sentences of every paragraph as a way to organize your essay into distinct, clear and organized units of argument.
