taxonomies of teams and management

Background
The management literature recognises a large number of different types of team, and different authors present different taxonomies of team. These taxonomies usually recognise project teams as a specific category (sometimes with subtypes of project team). This gives rise to the question of what special challenges for team management are presented by project working.
Your Task
You should consider the question of what it is that makes project teams distinctive, and how they relate to other types of team. You should then consider the distinctive challenges posed by project working for the management of teams.
This is a very broad question, and you will have to be selective in your treatment of this question. Exactly how you choose to approach this question will depend on the team taxonomy that you use as the basis for your analysis (there are many of them available), and the case studies of project team working that you decide to use
Your analysis should be structured in the following way:
• A cover page, setting out a title for your analysis (plus your SID number and word count)
• A detailed contents page, with headings and page numbers for each of your sections and sub-sections.
• An introduction, setting out the parameters of the problem, the particular team taxonomies and project team management challenges that you have decided to analyse, your justifications for these choices, and your approach to them. (approximately 300 words)
• An analysis, constructed around academic references, empirical evidence and your own experience. You may wish to break this discussion down into headed sub-sections for greater clarity. (approximately 1200 words)
• A conclusion, giving a concise summary of your arguments your conclusions regarding the distinctive management challenges posed by project team working. (approximately 300 words)
• Reference list, in Harvard format.
Intended learning outcomes for the assessment
• Demonstrate a critical understanding of the principles and practice of human resource management and its application to organisations.
• Recognise the significance of knowledge management and intellectual capital and present proposals to manage these.
• Evaluate and formulate appropriate approaches to manage a variety of human resource management situations.
• Analyse and evaluate complex problems and synthesise feasible solutions.
Detailed Assessment Criteria
• Introduction, showing an understanding of the problem, a selection of team taxonomies and case studies of project team management suitable for a short analysis, a justification for your selection and a statement of your analytical approach. (20%)
• An analysis, with a clearly structured argument, extensive referencing, the use of empirical evidence, and a reflective use of personal organisational experiences. (60%)
• Conclusions, concisely summarising the main points and a characterisation of some distinctive management challenges posed by project team working. (10%)
Overall presentation including: document structure, referencing standards and clarity of expression. (10%)
Assessment Literacy

Objective: The object of this project is to design a rechargeable Li-ion battery that can achieve a specific energy of 500 Wh/Kg. Below is an example of the format and the key points of the report.

Title

Your Name

Abstract: a concise description of your entire report. It is not as same as the Conclusion.
Introduction: You should provide a concise yet comprehensive discussion of the state-of-the-art of Li-ion battery technologies with an emphasis on their specific energy (gravimetric energy density).

Proposal of a new Li-ion battery with a specific energy of 500 Wh/kg: In this section you need to clearly propose the battery chemistry including anode, cathode and electrolyte, and rationalize your selection. The configuration and specifics of the proposed battery must also be presented, including but not limited to shape (cylindric, prismatic, or pouch), size, thickness of the current collectors, areal loading of the electrode materials, weight ratio of the electrolyte, etc. These parameters are critical to allow you to calculate the specific energy with sound assumptions and approximations. You must present the calculation showing the process leading to 500 Wh/kg.

Assisted suicide

Assisted Suicide Argument Assignment

First, read the Assisted Suicide Scenario. After careful consideration of the options,

Using the “Building an Argument” document provided in the Supplemental Materials section below, make a case for your position on the issue described in the reading.

Your paper should be approximately 3-5 well-constructed, grammatically correct paragraphs created in Word. You may use the standard margins in Word and your submission must be double-spaced. Submit your document to the assignments folder prior to the posted due date.

Below I listed two sampled essays students have written before. Please do not plagiarize. I also listed the scenario needed to complete this task and “building an argument” document.

How have women’s right and feminized movements, such as #metoo, been globalized? Describe how gender relations and expectations are changing as a result of a more globalized world.

As always, you are welcome to offer up an original, unique argument as your memo thesis, such as diving deeply into one facet of something we’ve read. That is to say, you don’t have to respond specifically to the questions above if you come up with an argument that digs deeply into something we’ve read or discussed.

i would need a refrenence page. “Memos” are critical reflections on the subject material. Memos are ruminations of the readings and class discussions and are not to be a simple regurgitation of the material; rather, they are designed as a critique and reflection. Memos are 2-3 pages written in 11 point Calibri font, single-spaced, with 1 inch margins, and without spaces after paragraphs. Use in-text citations with endnotes and cite Conley and Garcia in every memo

Internal Applications of Public Administration

Human resource management, also known as personnel administration, is part of the success of many organizations. It helps with the management of manpower, the implementation of training, and the education of the members of an organization regarding current and ongoing changes. Using human resources and personnel properly can ensure the optimum use of different resources (e.g., financial, physical, and technological resources) within an organization. However, there are significant differences between the private and public sector when it comes to certain areas, such as hiring, financial disclosures, social responsibilities, influences from external political forces.

Assignment Guidelines

In this assignment, you will review the human resources department in an organization where you worked at or are currently working in and then compare this organization with a public organization. Describe in 2 pages how HR or personnel administration is different in the following areas:

Recruitment
Training
Career advancement
Promotion
Administrative ethics
