• What surprised you about the movie
• Aspects of emergence factors are portrayed in the movie that correspond to concepts we have discussed.
• Does the information in the Radiolab segment change your response to the movie?
• Do you think the attitudes in the movie are still an accurate reflection of today? If not, how has that changed?

Quality Data Organizer

Assessment Description
The purpose of this assignment is to become familiar with various data sources used by health care organizations to obtain quality data. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) creates an annual report, the National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Report, which assesses the performance of the U.S. health care system. This report identifies strengths and weaknesses of the health care system in addition to disparities for access to health care and quality of health care. The report is based on more than 250 measures of quality and disparities, and it covers a broad range of health care services and settings.

Access the most current report using the “National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Reports” AHRQ website, provided in the topic Resources. Select five data sources from this report and fill in the required components on the “Quality Data Sources Organizer.”

While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

This assignment uses a Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

You are not required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite.

Instructions: Please use and submit your responses to the following questions on this worksheet.
JAMOVI Output: If the problem does not ask for you to paste your JAMOVI results in the space provided, be sure to post all your JAMOVA output to the end of this report.
Further Instructions: Please cut and paste your answers from your Module 4 Homework into the following template. Based on any suggested edits made by either the instructor or facilitator, make those changes before adding your test of statistical significance to your crosstab findings. On the other hand, if you did your work correctly for Module 4 and reported your crosstab results on your propositions correctly, then in this module, all you will be doing is adding your test of statistical significance, your chi square results!

Problem 1: Demonstration: Review the video lecture and the short How-to Jamovi video. As in both the lecture and video, use 2012 GSS Data and run a crosstab to test the proposition: RELITEN ƒ SEX? And this time, rather than your crosstab table, copy and paste your Chi Square test, here:

Problem 2: Crosstabs, continued: Review the video lecture and the short How-to Jamovi video and now, use 2012 GSS Data and run a crosstab to test the proposition: RELITEN ƒ DEGREE? And this time, rather than your crosstab table, copy and paste your Chi Square test, here:

Problem 3: Crosstabs, Reporting Results: Based on the crosstabs on the propositions: RELITEN ƒ SEX and RELITEN ƒ DEGREE for 2012 GSS Data, complete the following table to summarize your findings. This time, add your test of statistical significance, that is, add your chi square results.
Next: From your review of the “Rules of Writing” for this module and, from the guidance from the video lecture and power point presentation, write-up your propositions (crosstabs) on RELITEN for 2012 GSS Data. Be sure to now add your test of statistical significance in determining support (or lack of support) for your propositions. Your write-up should be between 300 and 400 words and, be sure to discuss issues of reliability and validity in attempting to measure “religious strength of affiliation,” as you point the direction for future research.

To what extent did the arm’s race escalate the tension in the Cold War?

This Essay is separated into 3 sections:

Section 1: Identification and evaluation of sources
This section requires students to analyse in detail two of the sources that they will use in their investigation.
The sources can be either primary or secondary sources. In this section students must:
• clearly state the question they have chosen to investigate (this must be stated as a question)
• include a brief explanation of the nature of the two sources they have selected for detailed analysis,
including an explanation of their relevance to the investigation
• analyse two sources in detail. With reference to the origins, purpose and content, the student should
analyse the value and limitations of the two sources in relation to the investigation.

A crucial element of this section of the internal assessment task is formulating an appropriate question
to investigate. The six key concepts for the history course (causation, consequence, continuity, change,
significance and perspectives) can be a very useful starting point in helping students to formulate a
question.

Section 2: Investigation
This section of the internal assessment task consists of the actual investigation. The internal assessment task
provides scope for a wide variety of different types of historical investigation, for example:
• a historical topic or theme using a variety of written sources or a variety of written and non-written
sources
• a historical topic based on fieldwork, for example, a museum, archeological site, battlefields, places of
worship such as mosques or churches, historic buildings
• a local history study.
The investigation must be clearly and effectively organized. While there is no prescribed format for how
this section must be structured, it must contain critical analysis that is focused clearly on the question being
investigated, and must also include the conclusion that the student draws from their analysis.
In this section, students must use a range of evidence to support their argument. Please note that students
can use primary sources, secondary sources, or a mixture of the two.

Section 3: Reflection
This section of the internal assessment task requires students to reflect on what undertaking their
investigation highlighted to them about the methods used by, and the challenges facing, the historian.
Examples of discussion questions that may help to encourage reflection include the following.
• What methods used by historians did you use in your investigation?
• What did your investigation highlight to you about the limitations of those methods?
• What are the challenges facing the historian? How do they differ from the challenges facing a scientist
or a mathematician?
• What challenges in particular does archive-based history present?
• How can the reliability of sources be evaluated?
• What is the difference between bias and selection?
• What constitutes a historical event?
• Who decides which events are historically significant?
• Is it possible to describe historical events in an unbiased way?
• What is the role of the historian?
• Should terms such as “atrocity” be used when writing about history, or should value judgments be
avoided?
• If it is difficult to establish proof in history, does that mean that all versions are equally acceptable?

Bibliography
A bibliography and clear referencing of all sources must be included with every investigation, but these are
not included in the overall word count.
Word limit
The word limit for the historical investigation is 2,200 words. A bibliography and clear referencing of all
sources must be included in the investigation, but are not included in the overall word count.
Below are suggested word allocations for each section of the historical investigation. Please note that these
word allocations are suggestions only.
