Sexual harassment and sexual assault in Armed Forces

Problem statement: Campaigns against sexual assault and sexual harassment have been deployed for a decade in society, especially in the Arm Force, which has millions of service members. The result is disappointing when unwanted sexual contact arises, fewer people opt to report it, and fewer perpetrators are legally punished.
Solution#1: How is the sexual harassment and sexual assault annual mandatory training effective in the Arm Forces?
Solution#2: what should the system do to build the trust or confidence of the victims/survivors that the system will work for them?
Solution#3: Is the punishment for sexual harassment and sexual assault strict enough to punish perpetrators and deter people?

Understanding and Managing Innovation in Public Services

Understanding and Managing Innovation in Public Services
1. To what extent can the ‘mainstream’ organization and management studies be applied to understanding innovation in public services? Are there distinctive elements of innovation by PSOs that are outside the range of this existing literature?
2. Consider the typology of innovation in public services in Figure 7.2 from the assigned chapter of our textbook. Consider what the different challenges are for PSO managers of developmental change compared to innovation. Be sure to provide examples!

Robert Latimer Case Research Paper

For your final paper, you are going to be researching and writing on the Robert
Latimer case.
– Robert Latimer was a Saskatchewan wheat farmer who in 1993 was charged with murdering his 12 year old disabled daughter Tracey.
– His trial for murder would become one of Canada’s most popular trials.
– In your paper, you are to identify and critically discuss the symbolic issues of this case that engaged the public’s sense of morality.
– The Latimer case was a site and an occasion for the dramatization of social norms. Discuss this.
– As we have seen in this course, often there are “competing” or adversarial norms in conflict in a popular trial.
Insofar as the trial will have legal issues at stake, the popular trial has other social concerns that are in public contest. Discuss
this.
– Lastly, as we have seen, the popular trial is a forum of social spectacle, it is a site of ideological contestation.
Media plays an important part in this contest as they disseminate or broadcast particular aspects of the trial or of the controversies
surrounding the trial. Discuss this in your paper.

PLEASE NOTE:
– All papers MUST include a thesis statement.
– Papers should be between 8-10 pages (excluding works cited section).
– While papers shorter than 8 pages will not be penalized, we will not accept any paper longer than 10 pages (excluding works cited).
– You must use at least FIVE scholarly sources. These sources can include course readings. (syallbus attached for course readings)
– You must use at least two newspaper articles.
(Please note, however, that they will not be counted as part of the five required scholarly sources.)
– Please use either APA or MLA referencing style.
– Papers should be original to this course.
– Papers will be submitted via Turnitin.

The criteria for the evaluation of your major papers will be as follows:
1. Research
– Papers are judged as outstanding, thorough, not quite thorough, as making a mere attempt to consider sources, or as having no serious research effort.
2. Organization
– Papers are judged as well organized, moderately disorganized, having substantial disorganization, or as incoherently organized.
3. Analysis
– Papers are judged as excellent, very good, average, weak, or poor.
4. Writing strength
– Papers are judged as excellent, very good, average, or weak.

Side Note to Consider when Writing this Paper:
– In democratic societies, the public trial is a pillar of the democratic principle of
“transparency.” Although most trials are public, only some become “popular.” Reasons for
their ‘popularity’ are varied, but generally we have argued in the course that popular trials
engage the public’s sense of morality and/or imagination. What engages is not simply the legal
issues of a case, but the deeper symbolic or ideological issues that permeate, and are often
positioned adversarially in, a popular trial.
– I have attached two course readings on Latimer you can use for one of the 5 required readings.
– I have also attached the course powerpoint on Latimer. You can use it for reference.

The Impact of Autonomous Vehicles on Transportation Management

Submit a research paper topic. You have considerable freedom in choosing a topic, with the exception of the topic must apply directly to this class: Introduction to Transportation Management. The requirement is that you choose a topic that requires academic research not business research and that you submit both your paper topic (which should not contain a question) and a full-paragraph statement, that statement must contain a research question to be answered or a hypothesis to be tested. Most “why” questions focus more on workplace-related issues and business not academic or scholarly research so they seldom are acceptable questions for scholarly research.

3 Types of Difficult Employees and How to Motivate Them

I copied and pasted the link to the article and i attached the scenarios link PDF as well as the chapter reading

Read this article on managing difficult people. It identifies three types of difficult
employes. Now select one of the five workplace scenarios. Download workplace scenarios in this link and act as a
consultant on the case. Apply what you learned from the chapter reading this week and from the article on
managing difficult employees. Determine what type of difficult employee you have for your case; then decide if
this scenario meets the definition of interpersonal conflict as it is discussed in the book (i.e., expressed disagreement, interdependence, and opposition). Next, create a way to address the problem based on the guidelines for
effective communication in conflict situations (focusing on the overall communication system, time conflict
effectively, aim for win–win conflict, etc.)

Your response should be a one-page (300-350 words) report that makes informed references from this module’s materials. A grading rubric (how this assignment will be graded) is provided.
Facts, quotes, ideas, etc. that are borrowed from a resource or resources other than personal experiences must be cited in proper APA format in your response.

Literary Analysis On A raisin in the sun

Directions:

Write a 1,000-1,250 word count paper, which analyzes any of the literature presented over the course of the quarter. The paper should use the secondary readings (from the Norton Anthology or any resource provided to you in Canvas). You cannot write about the same story twice. Literary analysis can take on many different forms; for example, your paper can:

Analyze the use of a literary convention like symbolism, foreshadowing, characterization, or other such technical term and how your chosen text makes meaning or creates an effect through the manner it uses the term your paper wants to focus on. See Chapter 31 “The Literature Essay” in your book (starting on page 1918).

Or your paper can:

Explore a social issue or cultural theme in any work of fiction we have read, showing an awareness of a possible range of interpretations, including a focus on literary terms.

OR you will pick a literary lens (Psychoanalysis, Jungian, Marxism, Gender, feminism, postcolonial, postmodernism Etc–“critical approaches can be found in your textbook starting on appendix A1) to analyze the text. The paper must use relevant critical perspectives and formal literary terms taken form that lens, which means you must read the critical essays in the textbook (and I will provide a resources page of literary lenses that can be used).

Any choice of literary analysis must:

use MLA-style documentation and formatting in your papers. It is the students’ responsibility to take the necessary time to acquire use of this style; I am happy to help you but our Canvas page and the Norton book both provide ample sources on using MLA.

Please choose the most simple option for you.

Write a two-paragraph essay selecting one of the two philosophies presented in this course–Social justice and market justice. Describe which theory you think is responsible for creating Medicare and Medicaid and how the theory relates to differences in reimbursement, criteria for enrollment, and program administration (federal vs. state).

For this assignment, you must include a citation in addition to your textbook. Please make sure that your citation is in the body of your document and in the reference section. Make sure that your paragraphs are distinct. Paragraphs should not run together. Please make sure your name and date is on your document.

In your opinion, what are the strengths of these connections? And in what ways might those connections be limited? Then, explain how you might extend those connections to the ethics of teaching dance. (Max 150 words, use the readings this week and lectures in the past to support your answers).
