Conflict Mapping: Congo (DRC) v. Rwanda
I am going to attach the syllabus so you can see the teacher’s instructions. The conflict I chose to analyze is the conflict between Rwanda and DRC. The syllabus has teo highlighted paragraphs; the 1st paragraph asks us to write an outline or plan for the research paper, which i have already completed–so no worries there. The 2nd highlighted paragraph is about the sctual research paper. I have attached the syllabus so you know what materials/books/articles we have read in class and so you can use the concepts from those materials to incorporate in the paper. The field of study is Peace and Conflict Resolution, and the specific topic for this class is “Identity, Culture, and Conflict. Please be sure to follow the teachers instructions clearly. If possible, i will alos attach the outline I had made for this project. Also, as the teacher suggested on the 1st highlighted paragraph when talking about the research plan, if the research topic is too broad, you nay consider narrowing the research by sekecting how the conflict impacts a relatively small group of people. In this case, I’d choose to talk about child labor in mining sites in Eastern DRC, or how women are impacted by this conflict because the adversaries are using rape as a weapon of war.
Scholarly Activities
Throughout the RN-to-BSN program, students are required to participate in scholarly activities outside of clinical practice or professional practice. Examples of scholarly activities include attending conferences, seminars, journal club, grand rounds, morbidity and mortality meetings, interdisciplinary committees, quality improvement committees, and any other opportunities available at your site, within your community, or nationally.
You are required to post at least one documented scholarly activity by the end of this course. In addition to this submission, you are required to be involved and contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives on a regular basis.
Submit, by way of this assignment, a summary report of the scholarly activity, including who, what, where, when, and any relevant take-home points. Include the appropriate program competencies associated with the scholarly activity as well as future professional goals related to this activity. You may use the “Scholarly Activity Summary” resource to help guide this assignment.
While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
United States v. Apple Inc., in which the Department of Justice accused Apple of conspiring with publishers to raise e-book prices
The completed paper should be from 2,200 to 2,800 words, with that total not counting the citations, the footnoted materials, or any bibliography or title page. The goal of the paper is to analyze a specific business law case (United States v. Apple Inc.) and analyze the allegations, evidence, etc.
These are the rubrics for the essay:
1. A well-stated thesis – Understandable? What is the author (the student) trying to do? – 5 pts.
2. Analysis of Topic – Has the author analyzed legal topics, the case, or related course materials? – 40
pts.
3. Clarity of Paper – 10 pts.

especially ones that I specifically advise against. – 20 pts.
6. Sources – Are there an appropriate number of quality sources, cited correctly? The author should
correctly cite at least nine different sources, unless there is an understandable reason. The sources
should be of different types, and most should be recent in origin whenever practical and appropriate for
the paper. You must use footnotes or in-text citations, correctly cite the court case(s), and include a
bibliography. Not doing so may result in a loss of points. – 15 pts.
Nutrition Policy Brief
Be sure to read the instructions all the way through to the end – there are 6 pages of instructions. The first 2 pages are an overview. The last 4 pages are the template you MUST use for this paper.
To maximize success:
1) Follow instructions carefully and exactly. Policy briefs have a specific formula for completion. Follow the format provided – this is not the assignment to get creative.
2) Be sure you fully address how food insecurity contributes to obesity as well as child development in the background section. You should cite a minimum of 2-3 empirical research articles in this portion of the paper.
3) Pick ONE existing nutrition policy or program to discuss and be consistent throughout the paper. This paper is a policy brief so discuss the policy, not generalized ideas about how to solve food insecurity and obesity.
4) Strictly follow instructions for the references and include citations in your paper. Do NOT directly quote any paper or article. Any “statement of fact” should have a citation.
5) Do not wait until the last minute to complete this assignment.
Understanding Causes of Wealth and Income Inequality in India
Write an argumentative essay (at least 2,000 words) that synthesizes and assesses the central arguments of Parthasarathi (2011), Piketty (2022), and Piketty (2020: 304-361) regarding causes of income and wealth inequality within India, and between India and the global North today.
Synthesis should identify the core argument(s) in each of these readings, focusing on the most significant aspects of each reading’s main claims about various historical causes of contemporary income and wealth inequality within India and between India and the global North. Synthesis should note specific causes that each reading identifies as the most important in shaping patterns of inequality within India and between India and countries of the global North such as Britain. Synthesize the findings of:
• the country sheet for India in World Inequality Report (WIR 2022: 197) regarding contemporary levels of – and changes over time in – Indian wealth and income inequality.
• The introduction, conclusion, and Chapter 3 of Parthasarathi (2011) “Political Institutions and Economic Life”
• Chapter 8 of Piketty (2020) “Ternary Societies and Colonialism: The Case of India”
• discussions of India in Piketty (2022), especially Chapter 3
Essay should also contain an assessment in which you craft and defend a central claim that clearly specifies and elaborates upon at least two or three reasons that one author’s arguments (those of Piketty or Parthasarathi) are more convincing than the other’s regarding the question of how and why wealth and income inequality levels within contemporary India – and between India and countries of the global North – reached the levels they had by 2022. Analyze the contributions and any limitations of the core arguments that each author makes regarding causes of wealth and income inequalities within India and between India and the rest of the world. It may also be helpful to specify what each author argues has NOT caused Indian inequality to look as it does today, and which of these causes Parthasarthi and Piketty might agree and disagree about.
