Approach & Methods 900 words
In this section, you formulate an integrated project plan, which sets out your group’s approach to research to address the aim(s) objectives you have identified above. This approach needs to draw on appropriate scholarly literature for support. Note: This should not be confused with an implementation plan or approach for a possible solution to your problem statement.

Explain and justify an overall approach appropriate to your problem statement and aim(s) (e.g. complex problem-solving, design thinking, agile methodology, or you can propose your own approach). Note: you may need to adjust your approach and methods as your project progresses.
Drawing on appropriate scholarly literature, select particular methods or techniques (for research or problem-solving) and sources of evidence that you plan to use. Examples may include a literature review, case studies, customer journey mapping, or competitor analysis. If you are collecting primary data (this is subject to ethics approval), explain what tools will be used (interviews, focus groups, surveys). Systematically outline how these align with your overall approach and are relevant to your project’s objectives.
Identify and evaluate any limitations to your approach and/or particular methods/techniques.
Across this section, identify how your team will draw on the disciplinary knowledge and skills of individual team members (you may also include other relevant skills, such as transferable skills and experience, to design your approach/methods and to execute these across the project).

Analytical Reading Reflection

Why is it important to have access to our historical archives in a way that engages with our experiences of the present? And how does your understanding of gender and/or sexuality factor in to your response?

Some possible areas/angles to explore as you prepare to write your thoughts:

describe how identities (i.e. religious, gender, ethnic, racial, class, sexual orientation, disability, and/or age) are shaped by cultural and societal influences in contexts of equality and inequality;
describe historical, social, political, and economic processes producing diversity, equality, and structured inequalities in the U.S.;
describe social actions which have led to greater equality and social justice in the U.S. (i.e. religious, gender, ethnic, racial, class, sexual orientation, disability, and/or age);
recognize and appreciate constructive interactions between people from different cultural, racial, and ethnic groups in the U.S,Why is it important to have access to our historical archives in a way that engages with our experiences of the present? Give yourself permission to be subjective – incorporate who you are into your response, explore your positionality, interests, and the power of your personal narrative as it relates to assigned course materials within the parameters of the prompt.
Which readings should you focus on? That is completely up to you but do try to weave in at least 3. My preference is the quality of how you are (and have been) engaging with the material. You can decide which readings to focus on here.
What do I look for when I grade? The two main things I look for when rating your submissions?

Are you connecting to the readings and citing them? (quality of connection vs quantity of citations is what counts)

Are you doing more than just summarizing information? in other words, are you synthesizing the material in ways that connect to your experiences with the world versus giving me a snapshot of what you read without any insights?Give yourself permission to be subjective – incorporate who you are into your response, explore your positionality, interests, and the power of your personal narrative as it relates to assigned course materials within the parameters of the prompt.

2001: A Space Odyssey

– Topic: what makes this a great film or why you consider it important/good.

– You can talk about: the historical importance of the film; the importance of the film within the director’s career; the importance of the film within an actor’s career; the aesthetic qualities of the film (shots, colours, editing, camera movements, etc.); or any other similar idea that constitutes underlining the greatness of the film. It can also be a combination of these ideas.

Socrates defense, Crito

Roughly 2,000 words and 3-4 pages on Socrates defense, Crito
I just need it before 11am tomorrow morning
Students will work to discern and construct the worldview emerging out of the readings and lectures on Socrates. This paper should include two main parts: (i) describing how Socrates would answer 4 fundamental questions (you can choose any 4 from our list), and (ii) providing at least one critique of Socrates’ worldview based (in part) upon the worldview tests. Most of your paper (e.g., about 3/4) should be on part (i).
Requirements:
– The paper should be constructed in an essay format, composed of prose writing organized by paragraphs. The main sections and subsections of the paper should be clearly identified (e.g., Part 1: Socrates’ Worldview, then Origin, Condition, etc.; Part 2: Critique of Socrates’ Worldview).
– 1,500 words minimum. The paper must meet the minimum requirements for length but may exceed this.
– The specific formatting style (e.g., MLA, Chicago, APA) is not important; all standard styles are acceptable. A works cited page is not required.
– Submission files type must be one of the following: Microsoft Word (DOC, DOCX), Adobe Acrobat documents (PDF), Plain text files (TXT). BE SURE TO VIEW YOUR SUBMISSION AND SUBMISSION RECEIPT. You are given only 2 submission chances. Any submission errors (wrong file type, wrong file, incomplete submission, etc) will result in either a 0 or be subjected to late penalties listed in the syllabus. Please direct any submissions problems to NAU-IT 24hr support: https://www2.nau.edu/stc/
Expectations & Grading:
– Basic Requirements: does the paper meet the basic requirements for subject, format, and length?
– Use of Sources: does the paper demonstrate a use and engagement with the breadth of primary sources, reference key passages from those readings for the various worldview questions, and incorporate material from course lectures? Papers should avoid two extremes: very little references to the texts/sources (e.g., less than 10% of the paper) and continual and extensive quotation of the text (e.g., more than 50% of the paper).
– Analysis: does the paper probe the conceptual depth of the various topics and answers to the fundamental questions which emerge in the primary sources? Is attention given to the various textual subtleties and nuances, as well as underlying doctrinal relationships exhibited by the figure/tradition? (basically, how insightful are your specific textual/conceptual observations).
– Synthesis: does the paper draw together various conceptual strands provided by the analysis of primary sources into a succinct yet informative descriptions for each of the fundamental questions? (basically, how many different textual citations and sources are your drawing together to support your views).
– Critique: does the paper use the worldview criteria to provide critical appraisal of the worldview? Is the critique thoughtful, attempting to identify potential weakness, probing questions, or doctrinal concerns regarding the figure/tradition? Does the paper do more than simply register disagreement (e.g., Socrates believed X, but I don’t believe X)? Does it attempt to provide arguments against the figure’s ideas?
• Note: this course we will utilize SafeAssign, an automated system which compares each student’s assignment with billions of web sites, as well as an enormous database of student paper submissions, including papers from previous semesters of this course. After the assignment is processed, a report is automatically generated that details if and how another author’s work was used in the assignment. For a more detailed look at this process visit http://www.safeassign.com/.
Example:
Attached here: Krishna Paper Example.docx This is a sample of a worldview paper (which received a 94%). This one was not on Socrates but on Krishna-Hinduism. It offers a good example of meeting the various requirements, formatting, and criteria above. The student’s name has been removed. However, this is just an example and you need not copy each and every element of it.

and then the fundamental questions to choose from are:
Why is there something rather than nothing/Where did the universe come from?
What is humanities most basic problem?
What are the central moral principles?
What is the purpose of life?
What if anything will bring a deep sense of fulfilment/contentment?
What happens to a human beings when they die?

and than world view criteria would be the worldview tests: Worldview Tests
1. Justification
Does the worldview offer supporting arguments?
Are the answers to the FQ backed by good reasons/evidence?
2. Logical Consistency
Is the explanation logically coherent?
Are the answers to the FQ consistent with one another?

Scientism – the belief that things need to be scientifically proven

Facts/Evidence/data/phenomena —> Abduction:Inference to be test explanation —–> Assumption//theories/explanation/hypothesis

3. Explanatory Scope – How wide
Does the explanation account for a wide range of evidence?
Does the worldview explain the full range of FQ?
4. Explanatory Power – How deep/thorough/complete
Is the explanation of the evidence through?
How well/fully does the worldview explain particular FQs?
5. Plausibility
Does the worldview match up with commonly accepted or well established beliefs?

International Finance & Trade

Each written case analysis may be no
longer than 1000 words, plus tables, charts, etc. In other words, the text must be at most 1000
words; you can add tables, pictures, and graphs if helpful.
You must format the case analyses in this structure:
1. Define the PROBLEM (in one or two sentences). In this definition make sure it is clear
whose problem it is, and why it is so important that somebody should worry about it. If there are
several problems in the case, you must either choose the most important one or define the
problem broadly so that the sub-problems are part of it. This is the most important part of the
analysis since you must aim at the right target in order to hit it.
2. Define the METHOD. In one or two sentences explain what method you are going to use to
solve the problem. A method could be interest arbitrage to pick the best investment, or hedging
techniques to find the least-cost hedge, or some other theory or technique. The method is NOT
the solution to the case.
3. Do the ANALYSIS. In this section, use most of your 1000 words to solve the problem. This
should be reasonably easy, since you have already defined the problem carefully and told me
what method you are going to use to solve it.
4. Draw some CONCLUSIONS. This may be a final paragraph in which you emphasize your
the solution to the problem and why it is best

Compare Christianity with another world religion.

The research paper will be a 2000-word essay about a world religion.
This research paper on a world religion will consider the similarities between Christianity and another world religion such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Mormonism, Islam, Baha’i, Judaism, or Taoism. It will seek to answer the question of whether the similarities are significant or not. The essay will include a biography of the person who started the religion, an overview of their teachings, how those teachings are similar to and different from Christianity, and an explanation of whether the similarities and differences affect whether both religions could be true.
The essay should contain at least one resource per page. Online resources are allowed but should be balanced with hard copy sources. APA citation is required at the end of any paragraph where you have summarized the authors work. And it is required after you have directly quoted him.

Drugs/addiction – attend 1hr recovery group and reflect

The experiential component of this course requires that students attend a recovery group, can be an online group, for one at least one hour. Groups can include ALANON (http://al-anon.org/al- (Links to an external site.) anon-in-nevada); AA (http://www.lvcentraloffice.org/lvaa_printed.pdf (Links to an external site.)); NA (http://www.region51na.org/ (Links to an external site.)?wpfb_dl=130); or GA (http://www.gasn.info/weekly-events (Links to an external site.)). Make sure that the group you are attending is “open” as opposed to “closed” to ensure your presence is welcome. You are not required to participate verbally (although if you find it beneficial of course you may do so), but rather observe.

Please review the welcome letter in the “Let’s Get Started” tab for further tips on completing this assignment. Additionally, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

After attending, write a 4 page (NOT including cover page or reference page; you are not required to complete an abstract) APA formatted reflection paper that covers the following topics: (please make sure to include these as section dividers/headers in your paper).

Introduction: For tips on writing an adequate introduction, I have found the following website useful: http://writingcenter.unc.edu/handouts/introductions/ (Links to an external site.)
Scholarly Review: In this section, include some research behind these types of group meetings (history of anonymous meetings, benefits and limitations, etc.). Include at least two scholarly journals and your textbook for references (see references section #6 for more details).

Summary of Meeting: In your own words, describe the hour-long meeting you attended. It is important to note that this section does NOT ask for opinion, rather a recollection of the events that occurred. This is a skill that does not come easy to all, so please make sure to draft and review this section prior to submission. Please remember to protect the anonymity of these meetings and do not include real names or identifying factors.

Personal Reflection: What expectations or ideas did you have prior to attending this meeting? How did the events that occurred compare to the image you had in mind? Can you see in which ways these types of meetings could be of service and/or a disservice to addicts? As a human service professional, would you advise your clients to attend this specific meeting or meetings of this sort? Why or why not? Please share any other feelings or thoughts regarding the meeting you attended.

Conclusion: For tips on writing a good conclusion I have found the following website useful: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/engagement/2/2/60/ (Links to an external site.)
References: APA style reference page, using hanging indent format for your sources listed in an alphabetical order. Your paper must include at least 3 in-text citations from the text and 3 in-text citations from at least 2 peer-reviewed scholarly journals (accessible through UNLV’s online library database). That is a total of at least 3 references (1 textbook and 2 journals) on your reference page and 6 in-text citations throughout your paper.

Review of a Bill Assignment
