Heineken: The Night is Young
summary- A growing antivaxx community became louder and more aggressive in spreading misinformation and paranoia, leading to 40% of Gen Z and millennials becoming undecided on whether or not they should take it.
Online exposure to misinformation about a COVID-19 vaccine may significantly affect the intent to take one, and the world was in danger of anti-vaxxer content becoming the predominant view.
Heineken worked with senior citizens (some being influencers) who had taken the vaccine, and utilised long and short videos, gifs, memes, social media posts and summer playlists.
The campaign resulted in 10m views, achieved 60% positive sentiment, and 65% of those under 27 said they would vaccinate after seeing the campaign.
Heineken: The Unwasted Beer
summary – Due to the lockdown, global supply chains ground to a halt and billions of food goods began to deteriorate, creating a food waste crisis.
10% of all global greenhouse emissions came from food and drink waste, and a keg of beer has a shelf life of 120 days. Heineken bought back millions of litres of lockdown beer from bar owners, created a beer saving station, turned the beer into biofuel, fertiliser and animal feed and sold them back to suppliers.
The campaign resulted in over 67m earned reach, a measurable growth in trust, 4.6k tons of produced fertiliser and generated enough sustainable power to heat more than 61k homes.

Write a 1250-word paper (5-6 pages, double-space, 12-point Times New Roman font, standard margins) synthesizing everything you have learned in this course. Cite all the sources you use according to your preferred citation style (MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.)
PROJECT (Written Report and Oral Presentation)
Project Overview
This project will consist of a brief proposal, a presentation and a written project report. You will select a public sector organization (local or international) and analyze its human resource policies and practices as it relates to a particular human resource challenge or issue. The chosen organization (s) could be one in which you were previously employed or one where a colleague or friend is currently employed. The individuals (s) you interview can be a line manager, a human resource manager in government or head of a nonprofit organization, for instance.
In the project, you will assume the role of an outside consultant to describe what the organization is doing in terms of human resource management. Note any major changes that may have taken place in the past or currently within the organization and then try to explain whether the organization’s human resource policies and practices are consistent with each other and the strategy and/or mission of that organization. You should also highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the organization’s current human resource management policies or practices.
The final part of your report should focus on changes that the organization may need to consider prior to implementation for success. And, if little or no changes are required, discuss what kinds of challenges that the organization is likely to encounter in the future.
This project will give you the opportunity to apply course concepts and provide an understanding of potential barriers to the implementation of such concepts. This is an important part of the assignment as it demonstrates why some theories are not always applicable or easily implemented within the public sector, especially in government.
Your research should include interviewing a manager or managers at a public organization (government or nonprofit) of your choice. Ensure that the manager (s) you interview understand the objectives of your project and the information that you collect is for a subsequent class presentation.
Project report (20 points):
Your project report should be no more than 10 pages in length (including a bibliography), typewritten, double-spaced, 12-font in Times Roman and thoroughly edited before submission. Your assigned textbook and case studies and selected reading will only be some of your sources of reference for completing this assignment. You should use at least three (3) more outside sources of reference in your analysis along with the proper citations. Possible sources may include Academy of Management Executive, HR Magazine, Harvard Business Review and other journals, magazines, websites and books related to human resource management.
Ensure that your citations and references are in accordance with the format as per the American Psychological Association.
All team project reports are due during the final class of Week 7, Class B on April 27, 2023.
Project presentation (15 points):
You will have 15 minutes to present your project to the class. Your presentation can include the use of a combination of audiovisual aids such as overhead slides, video, and audience participation. However, this is your presentation, so you may elect to use whatever visual aids that you deem necessary to best convey your message. Presentation tips to which all teams should adhere include the following:
• Do not read your presentation. Reading is not presenting.
• You can use note cards as references but do not read verbatim from the notes during the presentation.
• Avoid placing too much information on any slide
I have Bolded and Underlined the topic in the instructions, as it was over the word count limit.
As with all Discussion Forums, there are two parts: a 1000-1250 word posting (short research paper) and a response reviewing and commenting on one other participant’s posting. While I do allow you to slightly exceed the maximum word count on any given assignment, please be aware that this overage may NOT exceed 250 words. For this Discussion Forum, you will need to research and write a posting briefly summarizing the old involuntary administrative segregation arrangements and why so controversial, and discussing the new Structured Intervention Units (SIUs) and whether the SIUs are likely to meaningfully address earlier concerns associated with involuntary administrative segregation. For CRIM 311, this forum relates to intersecting forms of discrimination focusing on mental health disabilities but extending to race/ethnicity and gender, among other identity attributes. The forum is about rights to equality and non-discrimination and to be free from torture/ill-treatment, including potential contraventions of the Charter along with various federal and provincial/territorial human rights laws and international human rights standards. This is an applied critical thinking exercise where you will also need to integrate relevant course materials from the text and the lectures. Please use scholarly and grey literature sources when you do secondary research for this course. Wikipedia and generic encyclopedias may NOT be used.
Your posting must include some title information (minimally your full name, the title of the exercise, the course, the date of submission) and use headings demarcating the various conceptual elements. The posting should include an introduction, a developmental section, and a conclusion where you make recommendations for social change/social justice. For marking purposes, please attach a Word or RTF file copy of your submission that is labeled with your name and that includes proper title information.
For both the posting and response, supply proper APA 7th edition in-text citations and a References Cited list. You cannot use more than one direct quote and any direct quote must be properly cited; it must have a page number or another physical locator if there is no page number.
