Organizing any written assignment is easier when you have a plan. Just like when you take a road trip, if you set out on your writing journey not knowing where you’re going you can get lost. So here is one suggestion for how to organize your video reflections/blogs:

1. Tell the reader what you were asked to do, such as share your reaction to the video, connect what you viewed to the module, and write one or two paragraphs. This was you will remind yourself what needs to be done and also remind the reader.

2. Summarize the video that you watched. It’s a good idea to mention the name of the video and provide a few sentences about what you watched. (By now, after including Item #1, you might be well on your way to completing your first paragraph.)

3. Share your reaction. Here is where you state your position or thesis. Without first having Item #1 and Item #2, a reader might not know what you were talking about if you started here. This is the middle of your assignment, so don’t start in the middle. Start with the first two items.

4. After sharing your reaction, the single most important part of the assignment, and almost any assignment, is this part, which is your analysis. Here is where you connect your reaction with the facts of what you watched in the video. For example, if you think for-profit colleges are bad, you’ll state some facts from the video to support your position; if you think they’re good, you’ll do the same or mention what the video might not have said about what could make them good. It is also essential for you to connect your writing to the module being studied and with page references to your text, quotes, etc. This analysis section requires the most thinking. Spend most of your time here.

5. Finally, always include a summary that concludes what you already wrote and reinforces your answer, and then proofread carefully before submitting.

For those of you who are planning on attending law school, the above outline mimics the “IFRAC” approach to analyzing case law: Issue; Facts; Rule of law; Analysis; and Conclusion. But regardless of whether you plan on going to law school or not, organizing anything you write–at school or at work–by including an introduction, middle section with facts and analysis, and conclusion is an effective way to write.

The earths biomes can be broken down into two categories: aquatic and terrestrial. Terrestrial biomes are based on land or water. Within the terrestrial biomes, there is a lot of diversity to consider; plant life differs significantly. The terrestrial biome can be categorized as forest, savannas, subtropical deserts, chaparral, temperate grasslands, temperate forests, boreal forests, arctic, and tundra.

For this assignment, you will be creating a Terrestrial Biome flyer. Your flyer should be visually appealing, informative, accurate, and not too technical.

For this flyer, choose a terrestrial biome to talk about. Please be sure it includes the following:

– Describe what is unique about the terrestrial biome compared to the others
– Explain the type of tree life that grows in this environment and why
– Describe what would happen if a species of tree would from outside the chosen biome would be planted in the new environment
– Explain the type of animals that live in the biome and the relationship they have with the tress specific to

In week 7, you will submit a critical thinking paper analyzing a Supreme Court case dealing with civil liberties. In 2-3 page paper format, you will answer the following questions:
Which amendment from the Bill of Rights does this case relate to and why? (It might be more than one amendment)
What factors led up to the case?
The result of the case? What did the Supreme Court decide in this case?
What effect does this case have on society?
Do you agree with this decision? Why or why not? Do you believe society has been positively or negatively impacted by the Courts ruling?
Has this case personally affected your rights?
What could have been some alternatives to this decision?
For your week 3 assignment, in 1-1.5 pages, please provide the following:

A brief summary of the case (3-5 sentences)
A reference list of 3-5 sources you will be using for this paper. At least two references must be scholarly sources.

Conduct the experiment in Midterm Lab Manual. Fill out questions in the lab manual to guide your experiment and organize your results and conclusions. Take pictures of your experiment prior to beginning once you have all of your equipment set up, in the middle of the experiment and at the end of the experiment.
For each lab , Create a Student Information Card to be pictured in each photo with:
the name of the lab
the date you are performing the lab
your full name and signature
This card should be the approximate size of half of an 8×10 piece of paper, so that all information is clearly visible in your photo. This card should be displayed in each of the lab specific photos. If you do not include this card, you will receive 0 points on the lab report.
Record your detailed observations and results throughout the experiment. Once you have conducted the experiment and completed the Lab Report, write a 3 page lab report in essay format (MLA) summarizing the experiment, results and conclusions. See below for the grading rubric.
Minimum length of 3 pages of text, double-spaced, not including pictures and figures. 20 points.
Lab Report must include the following sections (separated by bold headers corresponding to those below). 5 points.
Introduction: 2-3 paragraphs introducing the biological concepts covered in the lab, including references to sources. Last paragraph of introduction should contain 2-3 sentences introducing the lab design. 50 points.
Methods: 2-3 paragraphs detailing the methods that you used to perform the lab. Do not cut and copy these from the lab manual. Write these in sentence form and do not use numbers or bullet pointed lists. Include every detail you performed so that the reader would be able to perform the lab exactly as you did if they were trying to repeat it. Include pictures/diagrams where necessary. 50 points.
Results: 2-3 paragraphs summarizing the results of the experiment. Use the Lab manual as a guide for the type of information to include here. Create figures (bar plots, scatterplots, etc) in Microsoft Excel from the completed tables from the Lab manual. Do not insert the tables from the Lab manual into the document, as I expect further synthesis of these results. Insert pictures of the completed experiment. 50 points.
Discussion & Conclusion: 2-3 paragraphs discussing the results of the experiment, what the results mean, and how they relate to the biological concept under study. Reference outside sources where appropriate. Discuss 2-3 errors while avoiding the term human error. (Random Error and Systematic Error) Include a paragraph on your experience and impressions of the lab and what you learned. 50 points.
References: Include MLA properly formatted references and in-text citations. A minimum of three sources are required. (See Purdue OWL). 25 points.

Hello Class & Professor,
As a manager I would ensure my approach is positive and I am focused on improvement. No matter if the feedback is good or bad, I will be fair and understanding. Addressing the issue with feedback closer to the event is better than waiting, this will ensure we stay productive and staying on task with strategic plans. My feedback process will be scheduled regularly to avoid any surprises and problems getting out of hand. This will also let my employees know where they always stand. As a manager you must be specific when communicating feedback, this ensures that you stick to the facts and less room for uncertainty.
One way to connect with my managers that I do not see on a daily basis is having a teams meeting once or twice a week via video chat. I would make sure we have a clear and open communication line to ensure everyone is on the same page about our goals, objectives, and expectations. I will send out frequent communication emails to keep everyone in the loop with any changes or updates the company is making. Lastly, I would get to know my managers. Having a causal conversation will go a long way, talking about topics not related to work will make them feel comfortable with coming to me about work issues. They will not be afraid to ask questions or for help. Open communication is a way to build trust.

Directions: The idea of the printed image as being the “Democratic Art” has been a widely held idea for several centuries. The excerpt above touches on some of the reasons behind this attitude. There are certain obvious differences and implications when comparing a painting or even a drawing by Pablo Picasso with a print, an etching for example, by the same artist. One obvious difference would be, how many people can own each form?
