POSTER using free software program Canva or Postermywall – Nursing Theory in practice

The purpose of this assignment is to create a poster for use in your unit to solve an issue or a problem, using nursing theory to frame the solution.
Assignment Guidelines
To complete this assignment, you will:
Choose a practice problem/issue in your practice.
Review the literature regarding the problem.
Review one grand theory, one mid-range theory, or one shared/borrowed theory that could be used to frame a solution or create a research study that addresses your practice issue.
Create a poster to present how you will address the identified problem/issue using your chosen theory.
There are various software programs available for you to use to make your poster. Examples include Canva or Postermywall, but you may choose to use other poster software products that are available free online. (Please choose software that is free to download.)
Poster Requirements:
Include a statement of the problem.
Choose one theory and strategies based on the theory to solve the problem (you may use and cite something you have found in the literature).
Cite your references at the bottom of the poster.
Be creative.

State and define the theory chosen for the Theory Response paper. 2) Give the reference for a peer-reviewed research article that uses the theory.

The purpose of the theory response is to demonstrate an academic
and real-world knowledge of a specific theoretical construct from the
course. The Theory Response has 5 parts.
1) State and define the theory
chosen for the Theory Response paper. 2) Give the reference for a
peer-reviewed research article that uses the
theory. Then, in one
paragraph, summarize how the concept is defined and operationalized in
the study. You do not need to describe the study in
detail, only how the
concept you have chosen was used.
3) Give an example of how the concept
would be used to understand an issue at the macro-level (that is an
issue involving a very large group like
states or national people
groups). 4) Give an example of how the concept would be used to
understand an issue at the micro-level (that is an issue involving a
small group like a youth group or college sports team).
5) Give an
example of how the concept would be used to understand an issue from
your own life.
For this theory response, you must choose from the following
concepts: ageism, anti-fat attitudes, authoritarianism, prejudice,
stereotypes, social dominance orientation, or intrinsic religiosity.

It Takes Land to House a Nation

We have taken a jump back in time to the beginnings of some of the issues we discussed in Module One. In this discussion we will focus on two of our themes: Land, and Ethnic Identity. Over the next three weeks, answer these questions, using the bold text as your subject line. Respond to at least one different student per week, covering one of the categories each time.
Discuss the acquisition of a land base for this nation.
How did different cultures relate to the land?
How did those differences lead to clashes?
At times, differences led to compromise instead of clashes. The US Constitution is an example of such a compromise.
What were the stakes for various groups affected by the proposed new government?
Did the compromise work for everyone at that time? If so how, and if not, how not? Identify one or more points on both sides of this debate.
Before so many varied groups were gathered on this continent, most of them had fairly limited experiences of “others” and the concept of ethnicity as race had not yet been invented. Once invented, this concept affected membership in the new nation.
What are the key issues, from earliest settlers to later immigrants, that developed between light skin, ethnicity, class status, and becoming American?
What were the stakes for non-white groups involved (willingly or unwillingly) in American nation-building?
Cite the Course Packet (White Trash), Content Guides (US DNA, Manifest Destiny, When Ethnicity Becomes Race), and assigned readings in Native & Strangers, and Major Problems in American Immigration History.

Gallery Report

Here is where our practice of writing about art culminates. For this assignment you will need to visit an art gallery, write about your experience, and write an analysis of one artwork that you chose from that show.
You can either go in person (recommended) or to a virtual show. There are several options located on the modules page. Also, if you want a walk through of how to do this assignment with images feel free to check out that video also on this module.
Once again, if you use outside information, please use citations. If you include an image of the selected artwork, please label it. (you can label it the same way your book does.)
Gallery Report Guidelines
Here are some guidelines to help you to write about your visit. This must be double spaced, proof read it carefully, no greater than 12 point font, and write 400-1000 words. If outside sources are used, they should be cited in MLA format. If pictures are included, they need to be labeled.
INTRODUCTION: all papers must include an introduction.

Part I: First identify the exhibit. Basic information to include:
Part I of your critique should demonstrate that you have thought critically about the exhibit as a whole; merely writing I liked it or It was horrible! will be insufficient. Instead, try and focus on providing reasons as to why it was you liked (or disliked) the art. Here are some questions to consider:
Suggestions for my people who have issues getting started. NOT REQUIRED QUESTIONS
Was there any special purpose to the exhibit? If so, explain.
When and where did the exhibit take place?
Who was the artist(s)?
What types of media were used?
How did the exhibit look to you?
How did the artist relate to the audience?
Do you think the audience connected with the artist in any way?
What, if anything, would have made this exhibit better?
Did other observers seem captivated or disinterested by the exhibit?
What value did this exhibit have for you?
Part II: Choose ONE selected art work and give a focused discussion of it using the Elements of Art (color, line, shape, form, texture, mass) and Principles of Design (rhythm, repetition, balance, scale, emphasis, subordination) and the Media Process (such as Bronze casting) used according to your textbook. Include a critical evaluation of the work in terms of artistic and cultural value, expression & composition.
Suggestions for my people who have issues getting started. NOT REQUIRED QUESTIONS
Who is the artist, and what is the title of the piece?
What is the (media) medium?
Is it two dimensional or three dimensional?
Describe the image(s) you see.
Was the artwork well executed? Why, or why not?
Does the artist possess skill or seem talented to you? Why, or why not?
How do you feel about the artwork; does it evoke an emotion, make you think, or pose more questions than answers?
What colors are emphasized and how do the colors relate to the color wheel?
How is the design or composition constructed?
Is there a theme or message?
Explain why you chose the work.
CONCLUSION: all papers must include a conclusion.
WORKS CITED PAGE: if outside sources are used they must include a works cited page.
