Write a 5-6 page paper double spaced about the historian, emphasis their methodological choices and how they approach their sources.

Hello ! The prompt is to chose a historian and read a section of their latest books. I chose Professor/Historian O’ Neil and I will attach the Prologue and Chapter 1 of her latest book. Your task is to write a 5-6 page paper double spaced about the historian, emphasis their methodological choices and how they approach their sources. The goal is to familiarize yourself with their work and provide some analysis of their approach to the past in terms of movements and methods we had looked at which includes philosophical, social, and economic movements from Karl Marx, and Fredrick Engel’s.
Here I am attaching the 3 questions I asked in the interview and her responses.

why did you become a historian ?
Professor O’Neil has always been interested in history. originally came through it because she read a lot of historical fiction as a kid she loves the true story of it, liked the idea that there is truth to stories that happened. She is trying to find out priorities of people living in the past and how they lived, she loves story telling as well. she did undergrad as a history major and also did graduate school for history she spend 5-8 years as a history major. She is mostly british history. She mentioned how grad schools teaches you how to produce and teach history which prepared her for her to be a historian
what interests you about the past ? on one level it’s exercise and empathy interesting to dig into foreign society and try to think about why it functions as it does and why people in the past made the decisions that they did and understand why people in the past made the designed they did. A quote she used throughout the interview was “the past is a foreign country they do things differently there “. She also said it helps us understand the present more. she’s not a big fan of the saying learn the past so you can repeats it but it helps us understand how people have made decisions in the past. It gives you a good frameworks to think about the present her early work was communication work
Talk about your research process ? both are guided by the same research questions what are you interested in ? For the second book which is more of a story. She asked herself where can i look to find specific information on these specific peoples. For this book it was more a treasure hunt. What survives where this people might be mentioned. Elite guys were writing letters about her second book. Professor gets a baseline to what’s going on from first book. they get involved with trading institutions. Institutions leave records she looked in there for letters about the prince’s. She also used online data based newspaper data based she key word searched a lot of things. She finds out about plays and there baptizism. She would also find google search where she would there birth certificate. She had to learn about all the places they went. Madagastar big island off of east africa that the princes went there. the process of her first book was having a questions and having sources to find it exploiting one source and the second book which we are referring in the essay was more of a treasure hunt.
Thank you and No Ai at all

How does the designer use design elements (like color, texture, shape, and form) and the principle of similarity to make their designs look like they belong together?

Find a designer, organization or company with a design language that you enjoy.
This designer/organization/company should have a distinct style that is repeated over several designs. For example, ASU uses the same maroon and gold design language on thousands of different different designs, including products, websites, publications, signs, etc.
Write about them. Please include this information:
An image that shows how the design language is applied to several different designs. It could be one photograph that contains several products, or it multiple images collaged together.
What is it?
Why is it interesting to you?
How does the designer use design elements (like color, texture, shape, and form) and the principle of similarity to make their designs look like they belong together?

How does the designer use the principle of variation to make their designs stand out from other designers’/companies’/organizations’ designs?
Submitting your work
Put your text and your image into a single PDF file, and submit it via Canvas.
SECOND ASSIGNMENT UNDER THIS LINE
This week, you’ll work with your user to create a rough concept for your storage or organization design. Start by making a rough sketch, model or description of your concept. Make sure it’s clear enough that your user can understand it. Then share it with your user, and get feedback.
Document your process with pictures (or detailed descriptions) and notes. Then tell us about your first concept. Please include this information:
What is it? What does it do? How does it address the problem? If you have sketches or pictures of your rough models, please include them.
Step by step, describe how the user would interact with the design. Where would the start? What would the do next? What would they do after that? Etc.
What did your user think of your first draft? What did the like? What didn’t they like? What suggestions did they have for improving it?
Part 2: Annotated photo
Take a photo of your first concept. It should include…
The prototype itself

You (or just your hand), pointing at your favorite part of the design.
Then, label your photo. Please include 3 things:
How will this design make the user’s situation better?
What’s your favorite part of this design?
What is one thing that you would like to improve for your next design? How can your user help you make your next iteration better?

Complete the entire scenario. The scenario the topic is about A BLOOD TEST USED TO SCREEN FROM DOWN SYNDROME DURING FIRST TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY

In the scenario assignments, you are asked to reflect on responses to the presented scenario. It should not just be writing down your first reaction or what you already know.
Reflection involves critical thinking, which means rethinking your existing knowledge and previously held opinions in light of what we have learned about theories of ethics, logic, and reasoning. You will need to question your current knowledge and beliefs. Discuss the main points of the debate, what stance you take, support that stance, and discuss the opposing argument. Also, discuss an ethical theory that would apply to defend your view.

To complete each scenario assignment:
1. Complete the entire scenario. The scenario the topic is about A BLOOD TEST USED TO SCREEN FROM DOWN SYNDROME DURING FIRST TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY
2. Fill out the template attached below, ask your professor for details on submission.
3. Compose the last question on the template reflection in a Word document and be sure to address, at a minimum, the following questions:
Why do you feel the way you do about the issue presented?
Of the four responses offered in the scenario, which do you think is the most ethical and why?
Which ethical theory would you use to support your stance? Why does this theory work?
4. Support your conclusions with evidence and specific examples from the textbook, including a minimum of one theory of ethics to defend your stance.

5. Your reflection must be 1-2 pages in length and follow APA formatting and citation guidelines as appropriate, making sure to cite at least two sources.

Is it more important that our schools focus on the foundations of literature or diverse voices in literature? Elaborate on the reasons behind your opinion. What voices and texts in this course have been the most helpful, eye-opening, or have added the most value to the course?

Diversity and Poetic Experience

For most of human history, when literature was studied, the authors that were deemed important enough to read were European (and then American) men. This practice leaves innumerable groups of great writers out of the consideration of important literature. It also means that a many great works were created but never known because the authors of those works were not members of the select few.

Today, critics and researchers in literature are working to add diversity to the collection of great works of literature. Poets from every area of the globe are now read. Poets from all of the different cultures that make up our diverse world are able to be found in the texts read by college students in literature classes like this one.

In your initial post, fully address the following questions: As a student of literature, how important do you think it is for courses like this one to include diverse voices in the readings? Some educators feel that students need to study “foundational” voices like Homer, Shakespeare, and Dante to understand the history and influences in modern literature. Other educators argue that the literature taught today should concentrate on including diverse voices that have been marginalized in the past.

Is it more important that our schools focus on the foundations of literature or diverse voices in literature? Elaborate on the reasons behind your opinion. What voices and texts in this course have been the most helpful, eye-opening, or have added the most value to the course?
