Write a persuasive memo to Jack Dorsey, CEO or Twitter about your concern of the company’s loss of 12% in stock in comparison to a year ago. This was caused by two factors: Twitter lost members due to its elimination of free expressions, and it solely depends on one source of revenues from advertising.
Write your memo in three paragraphs:
Paragraph1: The advertising slump during the pandemic had caused a big drop in advertising revenues due to the pandemic. You are also concerned about the $5 billion loss of the stock value since the new administration took over.
Paragraph 2: other social media networks doing much better than Twitter from their better strategies of different revenues.
Paragraph 3: your recommendation which includes a change in strategy to increase users and to create a new source of revenues. Right now 80% of the revenues come from advertising. Twitter to eliminate its restriction of posting and bring back the free expression to users. Twitter can leverage its membership into an e-commerce platform which will bring in a different source of revenues.
