Research and Report #1 – Anatomy 2

Imagine if you were walking along the beach and cut the bottom of your foot open from a sharp piece of beach debris. Prepare a written paper of at least 1000 words that includes the following: Discuss components of blood that participate in wound healing and discuss their roles in the wound healing process. Using specific examples, compare the process by which a hormone and a neurotransmitter will be secreted in response to this accident. Examine the action of a neurotransmitter compared to that of a hormone on the physiology of the heart and blood vessels as a result of sustaining this injury. Your paper should be formatted as a proper research paper with an introduction and conclusion. Do not simply follow the bullet points above, but really think about what you have learned and how that relates to other material we have covered and knowledge you have from other courses you may have taken. The Research and Report assignments in this course are capstone assignments for each module. You should be integrating everything that you learned in the textbook, explorations, discussions, and lab activities into your papers. All references must be cited using APA Style format. Use what you have learned from this module to complete the assignment. In some cases, you may need to conduct additional research.

You should post this first portion (your deep reading) of the assignment to that discussion board by Wednesday, June 1 at 11:59 p.m. Then, write up both what you found when you performed the deep reading, and why what you found is significant to understanding the poem Examples of close reading:

What do you feel is the centralized theme in the play, give specific examples of where characters enhance or support this theme or themes and where they purposefully negate it.

Please read the digital script, Dead Man`s Cellphone (Links to an external site.) by Sarah Ruhl, premiering at the Wooley Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington D.C. June 4, 2007. Dead Man`s Cell Phone is a sweeping surrealist melo-drama written to hold a mirror up to American society and it`s notions on love and connection in the age of technological advancement that both connects and isolates people. Sarah Ruhl is known for her use of poetic language and almost dreamlike scenarios, you`re never fully sure what has actually happened verses what has been dreamed or thought by a character, which makes both designing and viewing the show so much fun. Assignment Instructions Having read Dead Man`s Cell Phone, please respond to the following questions using specific examples from the play and vocabulary from your reading to support your ideas. Your response should be at least 500 words. 1. Give a summary of Dead Man`s Cell Phone (use your own words). 2. What do you feel is the centralized theme in the play, give specific examples of where characters enhance or support this theme or themes and where they purposefully negate it. 3. Media outlets today pride themselves on their willingness to print the truth. But does the new media today speak the truth? Or are they swayed by the same pressures that the characters faced in the play? What does the truth mean to the central character and what does it mean to the rest of the characters. Objectives Read this play carefully and pay attention to how themes and situations throughout are still relevant today, though it is a relatively modern show, a lot has happened since 2007. You will have to provide a response to your reading, so be sure to take some notes as you go. I hope you all thoroughly enjoy this play. https://web.p.ebscohost.com/ehost/ebookviewer/ebook?sid=ff8af6c4-2434-45a5-8149-cd578270726b%40redis&ppid=Page-__-6&vid=0&format=EK

write a paper that examine and critically assess a current event related to the security of an African state, region, political group, or civilian population. Students must highlight and display a specific source, such as an article from a periodical/blog/journal, that covers the current event. Feel free to be creative and search for current events that have been overlooked or address security in a subtle or broadly defined manner. How does the current event relate to the themes of the course? What are the regional or international implications of the current event? What sorts of domestic or international policies might exacerbate or ameliorate the security challenge? Does this security challenge relate to similar challenges faced by states or people in other regions of the world? It is imperative that students who are not presenting respond with questions and commentary to these presentations. The quality of your responses to these presentations will impact your class participation grade.

Research Journal

REVISION. Please place your bids. The question I had for the topic was "What is the relationship between academic achievement and life / career success?". __________________ INITIAL INSTRUCTIONS Write a clearly stated research question. Check for clarity and focus of the problem. To determine if your problem is viable, think about the following: Is the problem encapsulated in a single question? Is it clear that this problem can be approached through social science research (instead of theoretical or speculative reasoning or natural science methodology)? Do you have a bias as you study this problem? This is important to consider because you will need to continually examine your questions and methods for bias throughout the semester. If you were going to study this problem for real, could it be accomplished with reasonable expenditure of time and money? Does it have potential for providing important information? Good research problems are usually more complex than yes/no questions. Is it focused enough that you could design a research proposal that would address your question and provide answers? Write your research question as the heading of your research journal. Explain why the question is viable and important. Identify and briefly summarize at least two previous academic research studies that examined this topic.
