Transational Hair and Turban is the pdf attached

A. Roots of Love, Sent Away Boys and “Transnational Hair (and Turban)” features interviews with three different migrant Sikh men of differing ages: (Gurkirpal aka Palli, the motorcycle guy from Ludhiana; Gurminder from Chandigarh; and Swarn Khalon, the elderly man from Chandigarh): For each person, list their reasons for cutting hair (or keeping unshorn hair/kesh) and their reasons for migrating aboard, or staying in India.

B: Building on what you learned from watching Roots of Love and our in-class discussion of “religion” and “rituals,” describe two (2) quotidian (everyday) ritualistic practices that is part of your daily or weekly routine, and two (2) rites of passage (initiation rituals) that you have/will participate in over the course of your lifetime? For each practice you list, you must explain its general religious or spiritual significance (the rhetorical description) as well as what that practice means to you specifically (your lived experience)? Note, as emphasized during my lectures, there is often a big difference between how religious institutions define the significance of a particular ritual vs. how its practitioners make it part of their social lives. I expect your responses to speak to these differences.

sexuality and gender-related behavior

For this task, you will focus on the emergence of sexuality and gender-related behavior during adolescence. Prepare an article suitable for publication in an online newsletter aimed at counselors working in a middle school or high school that discusses the latest findings of the following topics:
Identity development in adolescence.
Neurological changes related to emerging sexual characteristics.
Hormonal changes during this stage.
Physical changes during this stage.
Social and ethnic factors that influence the expression of gender characteristics at this stage.
Create and include at least one fictional case study to illustrate some of your points you made in your newsletter.
Support your paper with references to at least five research articles published in peer-reviewed journals within the past five years.

Security, Change Management, and Architectural Adaptation

Imagine that you are in charge of architecting and overseeing the development of an online course management system for a large university with a considerable number of online students. The software that is going to be deployed is similar to what students, instructors, and administrators experience when using Blackboard or software similar in design.
The online course management system is now through the requirements phase of development; however, the university has requested that a communication feature be included in the system. This requirement, along with the additional nonfunctional requirements associated with this addition, was not part of the initial project specifications.
Write a 5–6 page paper in which you:
Evaluate the security and privacy risks of introducing a communication feature this late into the life cycle.
Recommend ways to mitigate the security and privacy risks caused by adding communication features this late in the life cycle. Justify your response.
Evaluate security and privacy mechanisms that should exist in both the existing and additional requirements of this system.
Use three (3) sources to support your writing. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed on your source page at least one time within your assignment.

It’s time to research!
Now that you have established the topic for your essay, it is time to research it. Whenever you are going to present your opinion, it is important for you to establish your ethos, or speaker credibility. To establish credibility, you must do at least one of the following:
– Establish a common ground with the audience.
– Present the counterargument.
– State your credentials within the field.
– Demonstrate that you have extensively researched the topic.
Say what?
To establish ethos, you must research your topic. Since the purpose of this essay is to alarm the reader of a problem within your profession that could be easily solved with money, then it is your responsibility to inform the reader as to the importance of the topic. Have other departments which received assistance benefited greatly? Have studies on your topic (i.e., nutrition) proven the immediate and long-term benefits valuable to professionals within the field?
Tips and tricks
There are several methods to conducting research and locating credible sources. For this essay, you will try minimizing your searches to .edu websites. To narrow your search, do the following:
– Go to Google.com.
– Type key search words into the Google search bar. Be cautious of the words you use. For example, if researching the immediate and long-term benefits of improved nutrition, you could try the following combinations:
“firefighter nutrition benefits”
“firefighter health performance”
“firefighter study nutrition”
Get advanced
After finding the right combination of key words, select “Enter” to search the web. With the first combination of keywords, the internet generated over 5 million results. To weed out the less credible sources, such as blogs, I search for the word “Settings” on the Google page. Once I click on “Settings,” I then select “Advanced Search.” After selecting “Advanced Search,” I then scroll down to “Site or Domain,” where I enter “.edu” to limit the more than 5 million sources to 56,300. Limiting your search to .edu not only lessens the number of results but also helps separate the credible sources to the less credible sources.
Goal setters do better.
Promise yourself to read at least three different studies or publications addressing your topic. Make sure what you are reading can be related to your problem and solution essay. At this time, you should be able to determine what each paragraph in your essay will address. Create an outline and complete the two body paragraphs.
Recall the body paragraph format:
Body 1
– Describe the problem.
– Write with detail. Use news articles, journals, magazines, etc. to get specific details that show the audience you are informed.
Body 2
– Describe the Solution.
– Provide details that demonstrate your level of understanding.
Give credit where credit is due.
Writers must always be cautious of plagiarism. You will commit plagiarism if you fail to cite the source from where you gathered your information. For this essay, you will use APA to cite your sources. If you are unaware of how to cite a source using APA, use the following link as a guide. Since you conducted research for this essay and research establishes ethos, do not worry about citing too much.
Remember from your previous class that there are different ways to introduce information in your writing. For instance, writers oftentimes balance their research writing with a variety of direct quotes and paraphrases.
Lastly, remember the conventions of paragraph writing:
– A paragraph starts with a topic sentence.
– The second body paragraph starts with an across paragraph transition.
– Sentences within the paragraph need within paragraph transitions (Also, Moreover, However, On the other hand, etc.) to create cohesion.
– Paragraphs end with concluding statements.
– Each paragraph requires an in text citation in APA style.
Submit, don’t quit 🙂
After writing the two body paragraphs, submit them, as well as the introduction from Week 4.

Production Possibilities Frontier at Work

In this first summit session, we are discussing the key economic concepts and reviewing some terminology. Now, let’s put to practice what we’re learning. Select a relevant microeconomics industry and discuss how it relates to the PPF. Consider why countries engage in international trade and how that country aligns with the PPF concept. Choose a topic that explores one or more factors of production and how they relate to the PPF.
Locate a recent article or event (published within the last year) that highlights your relevant microeconomics topic. Use the Hunt Library, newspapers, new stations, or other credible sources to discuss how your topic aligns with microeconomics. Include the following in your discussion:
State the article or event you selected.
Identify the microeconomic concept(s).
Describe your findings.
Analyze the relevance to real-life applications.
Summarize your findings using at least 250 words and provide a minimum of one reference. Use current APA formatting to document your sources.

Read the article Governance in the Spotlight: What the Sarbanes-Oxley Act Means for You Download Governance in the Spotlight: What the Sarbanes-Oxley Act Means for You. In this article the author outlines provisions companies are now required to implement. Consider the requirements imposed by Sarbanes-Oxley on corporate boards of directors. Do small businesses and privately held companies have ethical duties? If so, to whom would they owe this duty? Employees? Customers? Vendors? Should the law impose ethical requirements on small businesses or privately held companies or can the marketplace police unethical business behavior? Provide support to justify your position.

Write a paper that discusses an issue with sex and/or gender that society is facing today, while answering the questions listed.

Identify an issue that is facing our society today that is in some way related to sex and/or gender and has opposing sides. Consider a law that was recently put into or taken out of effect or is being debated. You could also look to the statements or actions of a public figure or organization that has generated significant attention from the media. The issue you select should have ample material from which you may pull to gain insight into the details surrounding it. Feel free to email your instructor if you would like to verify that an issue is appropriate or if you would like some suggestions as to what you could cover.
Explore multiple sides of the issue you have selected until you have a good understanding as to why each side believes it is right. Research the historical events that have caused the circumstances of this issue. Engage in discussions with others who have strong feelings about the issue to learn the reasons why they feel they way they do.
Make sure you research both sides thoroughly as your goal with this paper will be to write it in a manner that does not allow the reader to know which side of the issue that you are on. You will not be condoning or condemning either side- your goal is to be as objective as possible in reviewing the issue you select.
Construct a 1125 word essay that demonstrates your understanding of the following:
The issue that you have identified (a concise synopsis of what the issue is)
Historical context (previous events in history that have contributed to the rise of the issue)
Both sides of the current argument (provide an objective review- the reader should not know which side of the issue that you personally are on)
At least two possible resolutions to the issue (include the potential ramifications of each resolution for both sides)

Distributions to Shareholders and Capital Structure Decisions

Contrast the differences between a stock dividend and a stock split.
Imagine that you are a stockholder in a company. Determine whether you would prefer to see the company that you researched declare a 100% stock dividend or declare a two-for-one split. Provide support for your answer with one real-world example of your preference.
