Dance Critique- OCC DANCE CONCERT -Due May 6th

Write about what you saw, what you felt, what you really loved, what you thought the dance (s) meant. Be sure to write the title of the dance, tell me the name of the choreographer of the work you are reviewing, mention the genre, music, lighting, costumes…and name the dancers if one or several caught your attention. This is your opinion- please talk about the movements as much as you can. Do not say, “I don’t know anything about dance”- you are learning. There is no wrong answer.

This is the link to videos that you have to observe and write about (noted: title of the performance and also the descriiptive detail about the choreographer and also the meaning of the dance might be found in the descriiption of the video, so please also include these details in the essay then):

A Time to Love: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqSxxGNLjOA

Stand Still, Sit Still: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5GekGvcnkM

Also, please review the sample essay attached in the file to get to know more about the idea of this essay.

Last but not least, most of the video was really blurry, so sorry about that but then please do your best to mention what happened on stage and how you feel about the setting of the performance.

Alright, hope to see good work!!!

Cloud delivery and edge security technologies

Robinhood (www.robinhood.com) is a FinTech company that allows its investors to invest in stocks, ETFs, options, and Crypto through its mobile app and website. The company has received criticism as of late due to their recent down time in handling market volatility due to the coronavirus pandemic. Their site experienced several outages resulting in their investors missing out on opportunities to trade costing them millions of dollars.https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-03-16/robinhood-outages-show-perils-of-move-fast-and-break-things

As a result of these issues, the brand is now facing growing concerns from their customers and investors. In the last 2 months, Robinhood has seen their site traffic grow 1000%. The traffic has been a mix of both legitimate consumers and bad actors / hackers looking to find additional exploits in their system. The Robinhood team is struggling to find a solution as they have been unable to keep up with the traffic growth and protecting their brand from the bad actors.

You are being brought into architect and lead the roll out of a solution. Please prepare a presentation that highlights cloud delivery and edge security technologies, which Robinhood could leverage to scale and secure their website and app to meet the traffic volume demands and mitigate against the bad actors.

It is imperative to show at least some tangible results within a month. You will have 50 minutes for the presentation (including time for questions). You may leverage PowerPoint, Google Slides, and/or a whiteboard to deliver the presentation over video.

Discuss the frequency distributions of your variables before you discuss the Chi-square test.

Exercise tasks
1. Familiarize yourself with the GSS data. Read about the GSS data here: https://gss.norc.org/, and learn about the GSS Data Explorer here: https://gssdataexplorer.norc.org/ (you will go over the GSS Data Explorer tool during section).
2. Formulate a research question. Think of a research question that can be answered using GSS data and that involves the relationship between two variables. Consider the sociological relevance of your research question, and frame it using general concepts such that you could connect your interest to a broader research field.
3. Download the data. Use the GSS Data Explorer to download the data with the relevant variables and import them to Excel.
4. Analyze the data. Carry out a cross-tabulation of the two variables that are relevant to your question and conduct a Chi-square test to assess the relationship between them.
5. Write up your findings. See next section.
Your write-up
Submit a 2-3 page (single-spaced) paper that includes the following:
1. Motivation (two paragraphs). State your research question and explain why it is a sociologically important question.
2. Data descriiption (three paragraphs). Briefly describe the GSS data, the years you are focusing on, the population groups you are interested in studying, and the characteristics of your sample.
3. Hypotheses (two paragraphs). Specify your null and alternative hypotheses. Briefly discuss why you think the alternative hypothesis should be true.
4. Data analysis (one table and three paragraphs). Include the table that you obtained from GSS and that summarizes your data and allows you to conduct the cross-tabular analysis and Chi-square test. Discuss the frequency distributions of your variables before you discuss the Chi-square test. Then briefly describe what a Chi-square test accomplishes and discuss the results of the Chi-square test that GSS outputs.
5. Conclusion (two paragraphs). Summarize your findings and how they help you answer your initial question.
6. Limitations (two paragraphs). The analysis you conducted is correlational in its nature, and as such, you cannot make any causal claims about the relationship that you characterized. Discuss which other unmeasured factors/variables could be missing in the story your are telling, and how the story would change if you accounted for these factors.
7. Appendix (one page that does count toward the 2-3 page requirement). Show the calculations and intermediate steps that allowed you to carry out the Chi-square test.
