A local school is planning a progressive sex education program. To prepare for any resistance from the community, the teachers want to know characteristics of individuals who would strongly oppose the school’s active engagement in sex education. You are hired by the school to conduct statistical analyses to answer the series of questions from the teachers.
One of the teachers asked, “Is the self-identified religiosity level related to attitude toward sex education in public schools? If so, how are they related?” First, using the provided codebook, find the variables that are appropriate for this analysis. Then, conduct chi-square test to answer the research question.

Identify the variables you will use:

IV: ______________________________________________________

DV: _____________________________________________________

State your hypothesis and provide rationale

Test the hypotheses using the Chi-Square test. Report the following results.

Chi-Square value = ___________________

p-value = ____________________

Gamma/Phi/Cramer’s V= __________

People who reported strong religiosity and opposed sex education = _________ %

People who reported somewhat strong religiosity and opposed sex education = ________%

People who reported not very strong religiosity and opposed sex education =________ %

Atheist who opposed sex education = _______ %

Provide your interpretation (ie., explain the findings to the teacher)

Another teacher asked, “Is sex (men vs. women) related to attitude toward sex education? If so, how?” First, using the provided codebook, find the variables that are appropriate for this analysis and conduct Chi-Square test.

Identify the variables you will use:

IV: ______________________________________________________

DV: _____________________________________________________

State your hypothesis and provide rationale

Test the hypotheses using the Chi-Square test. Report the following results.

Chi-Square value = ___________________

p-value = ____________________

Gamma/Phi/Cramer’s V= __________

Men who opposed sex education = _________________________ %

Women who opposed sex education = _________________________ %

Provide your interpretation (ie., explain the findings to the teacher)

3. Based on your statistical analyses, what kinds of people are more likely to support sex education in public schools? Who is more likely to oppose sex education in public schools? Describe what you have learned from the analyses in words that are easy to understand for someone who has not taken a statistics class.

Some information to include:
This week, The Wall Street Journal released an article stating that China’s economy grew 4.8% which beat expectations. Furthermore, between the current events in Ukraine, China’s zero-Covid policies, and the housing market bubble, China is not expected to meet its target GDP growth of 5.5%. These three issues have put China’s economy in a very fragile position. In other words, China may not be as big of an economic threat as previously predicted. However, the current US sanctions on Russia causing commodity prices to skyrocket may cause a drastic reaction from China in an effort to loosen the grip on their economy.

As China’s economy continues to suffer due to supply chain shortages resulting from zero-Covid policies, I wanted to focus on China’s stance on the current issue in Ukraine. I have found an article that provides an idea of China’s stance on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

In this article, Shu Jueting, a representative from the PRC’s Ministry of Commerce, released a quote that essentially shows China’s stance on the conflict in Ukraine. The statement follows, “We oppose any ban or restriction on China’s normal trade activities with other countries”. This statement was released in response to strict American sanctions that have been placed on Russia to restrict their economy. The sanctions that have been placed on Russia are now beginning to affect China’s access to resources (primarily fuel). China has previously made claims of neutrality concerning Ukraine, however, now that the PRC is feeling the effects of these sanctions, they have essentially shown their stance on the matter. China does not want to have its way of life interfered with by a conflict that it has no part in. With this in mind, the US should consider restrategizing the sanctions placed on Russia to deescalate and prevent Chinese involvement.

Hey everyone, I’m the NIO for China’s domestic economy. If anyone has any information that you think would benefit my research you can contact me or in our section’s groupchat via GroupMe. Also, if you think I may have some information that may benefit your research just let me know via the above methods of contact.

This week, the majority of the information I have come across mainly pertains to the economic difficulties created by the recent COVID surge in China.

One source I have find to be extremely useful is the South China Morning Post (SCMP). This source provides current events in regards to China’s economy:

This article details the disruption of supply chains for automobile manufacturing hubs across China as a result of the recent COVID surge.

Another article I found on SCMP Is:

This article talks about how China’s working class is at risk of falling into poverty as a result of the strict lockdowns that stem from their “Zero COVID” policies. Over time, this would lower China’s GDP which would essentially destroy their plans of raising it by 5% this year.

Survey Research Part 2

Same research question as previous assignments attached!
Write up your survey questions (approx 15-20)
Include a copy of your survey in your submission.
Explain how many people took your survey and write a paragraph about your key findings.
You should focus on what you learned from this survey and explain how the results of the survey help you answer your research question.
Please do not write up the results to every single question (for example, do not write “25% of the respondents agreed with the statement in Question 1” and “2/3 of the respondents said X about Question 2”)
Instead, focus on the KEY findings. For example, write them up like this:
–25% of the respondents said they had negative opinions about X, but agreed that …….
–An interesting finding is the difference among age groups. While 75% of those in the 18-25 age group found …. to be ….. only 10% of those in the 50-65 age group agreed with this.
–The majority of the respondents (2/3) said they never heard about X.
Obviously, you are not going to write just one or two sentences. Make sure you highlight all of your key findings and write at least 4-5 sentences. Direct attention to differences in age, gender, socio-economic… groups where applicable. For open-ended questions in the survey give choices.
The research question you have to use for the survey: Is parenting possible Despite parents and ex-spouses being portrayed as enemies in the media? Topic: Co-parenting.

The purpose of this project is to (1) apply core macroeconomic concepts by making fiscal and monetary decisions, and (2) analyze the consequences of those decisions on a country’s economy.

Objective: The purpose of this project is to (1) apply core macroeconomic concepts by making fiscal and monetary decisions, and (2) analyze the consequences of those decisions on a country’s economy.Task: You will play as simulation game called Econland. In this game, you will be managing the economy of Econland, which is a medium-sized country, for seven rounds or years. Each round, you have to make economic decisions about interest rate, income tax rate, corporate tax rate and government spending. After each round, you will receive an approval rating from the population of Econland. The objective is to make the population happy and to maximize the approval rating. The population cares about GDP growth, unemployment rate, inflation rate and budget surplus. You will be presented with three scenarios: 1) base case with medium economic growth and volatility, 2) rollercoaster with high economic growth and volatility and 3) stagnation with low economic growth and volatility. You will play each scenario twice. Each student is required to write a report explaining the decisions made in each round and their impact on the economy while relating these to the macroeconomic concepts learned in class using appropriate sources.Grading: You will be mainly evaluated on the explanation and analysis rather than the approval rating that you will receive in the game. The project will be graded for content, grammar and spelling, neat and professional presentation, timeliness in turning it in.Comments from Customeryou can open my username and play the gameusername is : : 7a8s9dTYT!https://hbsp.harvard.edu/import/923140please enter and play
