Imagine the CEO of your company, Sam Bearkatski, wants to implement a communication training seminar for incoming staff. The goal of the seminar is to motivate incoming staff to integrate business communication best practices into their communication

Imagine the CEO of your company, Sam Bearkatski, wants to implement a communication training seminar for incoming staff. The goal of the seminar is to motivate incoming staff to integrate business communication best practices into their communication with colleagues and/or clients at the organization. The CEO has asked you to write a proposal for a training topic and said you can give a practice presentation before the final proposal is due (see p. 2).
Since the CEO knows you are familiar with Sam Houston State’s Business Communication course, he suggests covering one of the following topics: effective meeting practices, delivering bad news, dealing with difficult people, international business deals, age differences at work, networking with clients and business partners, evaluating meeting success, sending routine messages and emails, or social media for business. You can choose a different topic, but the topic should be approved by the CEO’s assistant, Dr. Kryston.
The CEO requires at a minimum that your proposal is built on the collection and integration of data on your topic from the following resources:
– One (1) reputable website (e.g., Forbes, New York Times; no secondary sources)
– One (1) concept from a university business communication course (i.e., this class)
– Your choice of either:
o One (1) interviews with leaders or business experts outside the organization & one (1) scholarly journal article, or,
o Two scholarly (2) journal articles
These sources should be cited in APA style on a separate page titled “References.” The reference page does not count toward your page limit. The argument structure should include an introduction, body, and recommendation that addresses the following:
Need
What business problem does the session address?
Goals/Objectives
What will the training seminar accomplish?
Training Program Design
What will people learn? How will the structure of the seminar ensure participants achieve the goals/objectives? What actions to address the problem will participants be asked to perform during and after the meeting?
Outcome/s
What anticipated outcomes/s will people experience by following your recommendation?
The memo to the CEO should at least one single-spaced page with one-inch margins and 12-point font, but not exceed two pages. The memo should employ correct memo formatting. Dr. Kryston will evaluate the memo; however, you are writing to the CEO, Sam Bearkatski.

Reaserch

Research one field or real world problem that biological anthropologists are involved in and that you find most interesting (for example forensics, human rights work, undocumented migrant deaths, genetics, conservation or the study of primates, the bushmeat crisis and anthropologists’ role in problem solving, public health work, emergency/natural or unnatural disaster responders, etc.).

PowerPoint Presentation (NOT GOOGLE SLIDES)

Create a PowerPoint (15-20 slides). Each slide must have an in-depth audio explanation or a written explanation in the notes section. Do NOT use google slides, there are too many issues with submitting these and getting access, etc. You can download PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office software for FREE as a PCC student. Here is the LINK

Questions to Address in Your Work:

The following questions must be answered (and do not necessarily have to be answered in this order):

Describe the specific field or problem that you are focusing on.
Provide background information about the problem for context.
What kind of anthropological work does this role entail?
Is the work year-round, on-call, project-based, etc.?
What real world problems/questions does it solve/answer? (provide a specific example).
Why did you pick this topic?
You are required to find at least one scholarly (peer-reviewed) journal article, find at least one additional legitimate outside source, and utilize your textbook and any reading materials provided in class. The peer- reviewed publication has to be within the past five years (2017-2021). A minimum of two sources are required.

Tips

Do not use Wikipedia as a reference.
Use the PCC’s libraryLinks to an external site. to search for academic sources (articles, books, videos) as reference. You can also use other educational websites.
Make sure to properly cite your references.
Edit, edit, edit!!! This is your final assignment, make an effort and make sure your work is free of errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Example

If you choose to do your project on the bushmeat crisis, you can address the following in your work:

What is the country you are investigating?
Explain the current factors associated with the bushmeat crisis. Other animals are most likely impacted by the killing for food, but offer specifics concerning primate species and the commercialization of meat in this territory.
Is the meat from primates considered a delicacy? Why has the amount of hunting increased in recent history?
Summarize the political, economic, and social factors leading to the bushmeat crisis.
Describe, in detail, the scientific analysis of the crisis and any means to reduce the killing of endangered animals for commercialized meat.
What is the role of the anthropologist in this problem?

Reaction while watching a horror movie

In 750-1,000 words or approximately three to four double-spaced pages, write an essay that follows the Map of the Analytic Essay handout. The essay should focus on two parallel (very similar) examples/stories in the body section that allow you to explain a pattern of human behavior. The essay must go beyond fact and include your opinion. The essay should explain the cause-effect sequence you observe in both examples by answering focused and relevant how and why questions. The essay must demonstrate in the introduction, body section, and conclusion your ability to classify/categorize.

• The analytic thesis should answer:
1. How and why does a specific type of person react step by step in a specific type of situation?
2. What idea or concept does the reaction represent?
• The statement of relevance should answer the question: What is important to consider about this type of situation or this type of reaction?
•Additionally, your introduction should include an opening image and brief discussion of contextual information.
• In your body section, present multiple connected examples and demonstrate your ability to describe and narrate. The examples should support and illustrate your thesis. Warrant statements should be included.
