You are
an SID and have been told your university is adding women’s field hockey as a
varsity sport beginning in the fall. There is no current club team so this will
be a new sport starting from scratch and it will compete in the same conference
as all your other sports.
Create
a communications plan that describes in detail, how you would publicize the new
sport at your school, from now (April) until the student-athletes report to
school in late August for the fall season.
You are
responsible for devising a plan to generate media and fan interest and also to
prepare to cover the new sport the same way you cover your current sports.

Materials
submitted as part of this assignment are:
1. Write a
press release announcing the addition of the sport (1 page)
2.
Explain how you would orchestrate a press conference to announce the hiring of
the first head coach. What would it look like? Who would be involved? How would
you ensure the media attended? How would you cover it internally?
3.
Create a hypothetical timeline of news dissemination that you would schedule
throughout the four months to maximize publicity before the season begins.
Provide a brief description of the content of each. For example, press
releases, press conferences, feature stories, videos, social media posts,
social events, etc.
4. Make
an internal list of the details that your sports information office must consider
to be ready to handle the coverage of field hockey in the fall, both before the

3.Method (1-2 pages): This section is a clear and detailed explanation of exactly what you did so another researcher could replicate your study. You will note your sample ( may be people you interview, shows you watched, etc), how you chose this sample, and how you analyzed your data.
Method part need to using interviewing and describing your sample, meaning who will be your participants ( is there criteria for inclusion), how will you recruit ( language you will use in an online post or flyer), where the interview happevns (in-person, on the phone, online), what will you tell them about their rights (confidentiality/privacy), what variables matter, what are the 10 questions will you ask (summarize in sentence form). How will you deal with the data from the interview (will you record the interview, how will you transcribe it, will you give the people pseudonyms) or survey (how will you tally the question data, will you put it in excel)

4.Findings/Results and analysis(5-10 pages): his section includes your data, presented as themes or findings. This can also be understood as arguments you make in response to your research question and support with data ( this could be quotes from interviews, detailed observations, or quotes from social media).

Assignment: This is a written research paper required for this project. Be sure that you follow proper APA formatting and works citation both internally and at the end of your paper. – Choose an Operations and Supply Chain Management concept/tool or a set of concepts/tools among the ones provided in section 4 and apply it to propose a solution to the problem.

The meaning of an operational problem will become clearer as you study this course (see the textbook contents). You are strongly encouraged to find a problem from your own work, so that you may apply to your work the concepts/tools that you learned from this course.
