Food Budget
Simply take your grocery list from the last assignment, which should include all of your ingredients and the amount/volume of each ingredient for the week and simply look online or in a grocery store and find the price of each item. Once you find the prices per unit, multiply each of the prices by the amounts you need for the week to yield a final weekly food budget total. And, of course, please show all of your work, ideally, in a clean table with just a few columns and a row for each ingredient. This is critical, so you can match your plan with an economic reality, ok. Have fun! 🙂
This one was the last assignment
Using your week-long meal plan, we want you to make a list of ALL of the ingredients you need to purchase for the entire week. If you use chicken for multiple meals, we want you to add up all of the chicken you use and put it in one row. DO the same for every ingredient you will need for all 21 of the meals for your weekly shopping.
Break down the summed amounts of each item you need (in ounces, packages, bushels, etc.) and, where you will buy them (including eating out for whichever meals you choose). This assignment should look like a list with amounts next to each item. YOU DO NOT need to include any pricing fo anything yet. That’s the next assignment. 🙂

Relates to the post-COVID-19 world. As various nations and the global community develop post-pandemic recovery strategies, what will be some of the most difficult challenges to overcome, and unique opportunities to consider?
Topic for Essay 2
Relates to the theme of active global citizenship. Identify at least two (2) strategies of practical intervention you would consider adopting to make a positive impact on the world around you. Given the knowledge, resources, and skills at your command, what are some of the ways you could become a change-maker for the greater social good? What is the “wug” test, and how does it contribute to the issue of productivity?
Once you have selected a topic, your task is to write a succinct research paper addressing the
question. You must provide references to all of the resources you consult in writing your paper.
You are free to use any standard reference format (APA, MLA, etc.), as long as you use it
consistently. If you don’t know how to do this, there are tutorials available online, or you may
visit the writing center on campus for help. You must use at least five published academic
sources. These are things like academic books or peer-reviewed journal articles. If you don’t
know how to search for these things, a reference librarian can help you (but as university
students, this is a skill you need to learn how to do). Internet-based resources like Wikipedia are
not acceptable as references.
Your paper should be at least 5 pages long, but must not be longer than 10 pages. Your reference
section does not count toward the overall page length requirements. Your paper must also meet
the following formatting guidelines:
• All three components of the research paper (your topic proposal, your rough draft, and
your final draft) must be submitted to Blackboard as .pdf files.
• Your paper must have 1-inch margins on all sides.
• Use 12-point Times New Roman font.
• Your paper must be double spaced.
• Your name must be on the first page (this should be obvious, but in case it isn’t…)
• After your name, include a title which matches one of the topics. Ideally, I should be able
to read the title of the paper and know which topic you chose, or if you chose a topic not
on the list, I should be able to get a basic idea of what your paper is about).
• If your rough draft is missing a reference page or in-text citations, you will only receive
half credit

argue that violent women are constructed within the society itself and discourses such as- “victim”, “bad” and “mad” given by the Canadian Justice System, play an important role in this construction
This assignment is explicitly developed as the culmination of previous assignments in the course. You are encouraged to use the material you have already completed this term (most importantly, the Annotation Assignment and the Introduction and Working Thesis Assignment). If you got a good mark on your “Introduction and Working Thesis Assignment,” feel free to reuse that assignment as the introductory paragraph of your paper. Before re-using any previous assignments, however, you should be sure to take into consideration the feedback given to you by your TA and make any necessary revisions.
(Important Note: In reusing previous assignments, you may have a higher-than-normal “unoriginality” percentage on Turnitin. As long as the highlighted material is your own work in this class from these previous written assignments—or something else legitimate, such as direct quotes with quotation marks and a proper in-text citation—this is fine.)
Your essay should include the following:
Introductory paragraph: Introduces the topic of the paper and includes the thesis statement and roadmap.
Supporting Argument #1: This will likely take you more than one paragraph to develop.
Supporting Argument #2: This will likely take you more than one paragraph to develop.
Supporting Argument #3: This will likely take you more than one paragraph to develop.
Concluding Paragraph: Includes a re-statement of your thesis statement and supporting arguments in different words. Do not introduce new arguments or evidence in your conclusion.
Please Note: In scholarly writing, all paragraphs (including the introductory and concluding paragraphs) should be approximately 8-12 sentences. In addition, you may have more than three supporting arguments, but you should not have less than three.
Your Research Paper should be developed around an explicit thesis. It should be double spaced using Times New Roman (font size 12) with regular (1 inch) margins. Include a title page and references page. Your title page should include an original and relevant title (not “Gender and the Law Research Paper” or “SOSC 1350 Paper”), your name and student number, the course code, your professor’s name, your TA’s name, the word count (not including the title page or references page) and the date the paper is being submitted. For late penalties, read page 7 of the syllabus carefully.
