As the industrial revolution developed in the United States, traditional patterns of work were disrupted and replaced by more ridged, structured, factory-based workplaces. The notion of artisan republicanism, in which craftsmen could aspire to the status of a master within their given field, was threatened. American workers resisted these changes. The first draft of the paper is due on Canvas at 11:59 pm on Monday, April 11. Then, you must complete a peer review of another student’s paper by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, April 12. Once you have received peer comments, you have until Wednesday, April 13, to submit a revised second draft. Prof. Brucher or your writing instructor will read and comment on your second draft and hold a one-on-one conference with you at an appointed time during Week 13.
The first draft and peer review are worth 25 points and must be completed before turning a second draft.
The final draft must be turned in on Canvas by Monday, May 2.

This is a topic that is perhaps overwhelming because it includes so many aspects of daily life…parental control…education…government influence…corporate control (Amazon).
