Price Discrimination in Practice

For the Final Project, your task is to read Case 12.1 (Price Discrimination in Practice) on pages 190-192 of the text and answer the Discussion Questions at the bottom of the case. Be sure to incorporate all appropriate chapter material from Chapters 9. 10. 11. 12, and 15 when formulating your answers to the questions. Be sure to include specific examples to support your points. Likewise, internet research should be done to give you a full understanding of the issues from the case.
When writing your answers to the questions, be concise and to the point. Be sure to write grammatically correct sentences with correct usage, agreement and punctuation. Point deductions will be made for mistakes in these areas.
This will be a larger project than Project 1 & 2 so you should target your project to be 6-8 pages in length, double spaced and be sure to include the text of each question followed by your answer. This way, I can tell where one answer ends and another begins. A bibliography of your internet research should also be included but does not count towards your total page target.
Submit this project on Blackboard in Word or as a PDF by 8:00 PM on May 6, 2022. Late submissions will be penalized!

Only submit the graphs and the calculation of the generation time for one of the two graphs (either by using absorbance values from the absorbance growth curve, or CFU values from the CFU growth curve. I believe you can copy and paste just the graph from the Excel file into a Word document on which you will also type the calculations (not just the number/value of the generation time, but the actual calculations with the formulas).

Conduct/construct an experiential evaluation/assessment of the business model of Amazon cloud gaming using the business model canvas and related text provided and additional research.

Goal: Conduct/construct an experiential evaluation/assessment of the business model of Amazon cloud gaming using the business model canvas and related text provided, and additional research.

Introduction: Managers who want to improve the effectiveness of their business model and organization, as well as to increase their own ability to manage, use diagnostics/assessments to determine the reality of business effectiveness in comparison to what they originally envisioned. Good feedback contributes to the development of plans to improve business/organizational effectiveness and management performance.

Instructions: Write a 2500-3000 word (about 10 pages in the main body) properly formatted APA paper (including a title page and references page, but no abstract) that evaluates/assesses the overall effectiveness of the business model used by your organization. This is the third of three assignments that draws from your association with your organization. The previous two “canvas” assignments flow into this one. Identify one or more of the building blocks from the business model canvas where modification should be recommended. Be careful to avoid bias in determining the issue/problem identified by using the canvas. Do not merely critique, but contribute to your organization’s overall success. This paper should be the culmination of the overall work you have done with the business model canvas so that all the pieces go together.
Your final paper should include:
Your business model canvas – Post-It notes discussion/observations (week 2)—summarize this area, but provide the initial canvas.
Identification of theoretical/behavioral trends that you observe in the business model and organization (week 5)—summarize this, do not merely cut and paste.
Discussion of appropriate theory, metaphors, and frames with which to describe your business model in operation, as well as to identify areas needing improvement and how to get there.
Use of the Osterwalder/Pigneur text to evaluate and diagnose your organization’s business model, as well as an integration of the course materials into your writing and consideration.
Recommendations for improvements identified using the canvas, theories, and assessment tools used in this course. What are the expected outcomes.
Use eight scholarly sources besides our textbook (especially case studies) to undergird your assertions from peer-reviewed literature.
Thoroughly familiarize yourself with the assignment specs and ask questions if you are unsure of expectations.
The paper must have at least eight additional scholarly sources in addition to the course textbook. No abstract is necessary, but a title page and references page should be included. Write your paper in third person, even though you are writing about an organization that you are familiar with. To do this, write from the perspective of a scholar who observes and researches about the case. Therefore, first person should be avoided.

WWI Essay

How can “poetry” inform “history”? Aristotle contrasts poetry with history, claiming that literature and creative writing can tell more universal stories than history can. Review the Aristotle, Owen, and Yeats passages quoted in Unit 1: Poetry and their arguments about the power and limitations of poetry.
Should historians use literature as a way to understand what happened in the Great War? Why or why not? In an essay of 750 words, answer these questions using specific quotes and details from poems, Hemingway, and Dalton to support your argument (These sources are provided in the ‘File Section’ under Poems). Cite your sources using the “Insert Footnote” function and included the author & title and page number if appropriate.

Art History Disscussion Post

Artworks for Part 1 will be provided in ‘Document A’.

Part 1:
Write a brief comparison between two artworks from this week’s readings/lectures. Your post should discuss how they are similar, and why, as well as how they differ, and why. The WHY is the most important part! This usually involves connecting those elements and/or symbols you see with the context/culture.

Part 2:
Many of the cultures we learned about this week use patterns and abstract, or stylized, formal qualities in deeply symbolic and meaningful ways. For many of these cultures, naturalism is NOT the goal, but rather conveying deep and complex meaning in visual terms and formal qualities.
For this part, choose an artwork from Early Medieval Europe that uses pattern, color, stylized form, or other such qualities to convey meaning (iconography). Post an image of the artwork with its details, then describe those iconographic elements and explain their meaning.

Part 3:
Choose an art history artwork for this part. Do a bit of scholarly research on your artwork. You will need to use and cite at least 2 scholarly sources in your post. Explain the artwork’s original cultural context and significance, and then do your best to explain the ‘provenance’ of the artwork (‘Provenance’ means a description of who owns an artwork when). Try to explain to your classmates WHY an artwork is where it currently is, and any potential issues with that relocation.

History 101-Western Civilization paper

This paper is due 4/3. It is available now so that you have plenty of time to prepare and write the paper.
This class is meant to provide the historical context that helps to explain the world as it is today. This class is also meant to challenge you to see the world in different ways, ask more questions and think critically. Select a culture we discussed so far. Use a minimum of one primary and 2 secondary sources to support your main idea. In one cohesive essay, with a clear topic sentence, address the following questions:

What were the major influences that shaped this culture?
In what ways did this culture influence others?
What contributions did this culture make to the larger context of Western Civilization?
What’s so interesting/amazing/unique about this culture all on it’s own?

A primary source is one that was written, produced, created during the time period it is discussing (writings, music, works of art or architecture all count as primary sources). There are primary sources throughout your textbook that work as a starting point. The Fordham Ancient Sourcebook is also an excellent collection of primary sources which you can find here https://sourcebooks.fordham.edu/ancient/asbook.asp

A secondary source is one written by an expert in the field who reads the primary sources and provides the larger context for what was happening, what effects it had and how people lived overall. You textbook is an example of a secondary source.
The paper must be 4-5 pages, 12 point font, double spaced. Cite your sources using Chicago style footnotes. http://libguides.sunysuffolk.edu/plagiarism/quote

Examine your cognitive and affective responses while doing the actual Learned portion of the assignment.

Part 2 Analysis Guidelines:
This portion of the Duolingo Assignment contains two interrelated parts. You will compose an analysis statement that address a series of theoretical points/concerns…. I have 1,231 xp… My Duolingo language was Spanish.
The first part should be crafted as a personal response as to what you learned completing the Duolingo Assignment specific to logging on to your laptop and moving through the different lessons. Examine your cognitive and affective responses while doing the actual Learned portion of the assignment. Please feel free to use an informal personal response format to convey your affective and cognitive reactions. You will need to identify your reactions as either cognitive or affective within your personal response.
The second part should be crafted as an analysis response wherein you connect the personal responses you just reported to theoretical constructs we have explored this semester. You will use Halliday and Krashen as your theorists. You examine your personal responses and then demonstrate how two different personal responses (one affective and one cognitive) are connected to two different constructs presented by Halliday and Krashen. You must use both theorists. You may not refer to the same theoretical construct or theorists more than once.
One affective response with one Michael Halliday and one Krashen connection.
One cognitive response with a different Halliday and a different Krashen connection.
The critical issue here is the degree to which you analyze your personal responses and then explain/explore it using the theoretical constructs you chose. Merely stating the construct is not analysis. Use the words “why and how” to push your connection to analysis. You may continue to use informal language but will need to use APA paragraph citations to support your theoretical connections via a direct quote or paraphrase. No one may reference work I presented using PowerPoint. A reference section should follow the final part. Go back to the readings or online research
