Having watched the clip, imagine that there is a master list of characteristics that make a human being a human being (as opposed to a dog, a tree, an angel, or an amoeba). Click the link above to submit three of the things that should be on that list. Then, tell me why you think the characteristics you list belong there. In this assignment, you will have to watch the Netflix documentary “The Social Dilemma”. And write a short essay “Is your documentary film rhetorically effective? If so, explain what made it effective. If
not, why not, and how could it have been more effective?”. The main focus here is “Sustainability” and is the way the presenter explains this topic effectively? You can only choose 2 or 3 scenes from the movie and analyze them from different perspectives such as camera angles, editing, musical scores,
lighting, dialogue, etc.

Please follow the requirement and mention the use of Pathos, Logos, and Ethos by the presenter throughout the documentary. (Very important!!!) (Rhetoric)

You can to a large extent agree that the documentary is rhetorically effective and also write things that could be improved. (just advice)

● Underline the most important points in each of your paragraphs (similar to our reverse outline activity,
but identify your argument WITHIN your writing)
● Submit a brief synopsis of the 2 sources of your choice (2-4 sentences).

For this forum, please return to any of the shared essays we’ve read thus far in the course. (Any essay we all read in Week 1-Week 8 is fine.) Analyze it for thesis and support.
So, please do the following:
Tell us which essay you’re discussing.
Identify the thesis.
Explain how you know it is the thesis.
Identify and evaluate where it is: where is it in the essay? Why? Does that positioning work well?
Then, evaluate the evidence provided. Does it support the thesis? Is it the right kind of evidence? Is it presented in the best order?
