Business Ethics paper

Agricultural-Biological-Technology is the future, and a company developing a new “gene” that would make food more nutritious would have a valuable asset if no other company could use their discovery. Make an argument as to why businesses that develop modified organisms should be able to preserve their property rights by patenting such organisms.

Your argument might include the purpose of a patent being designed to protect the payoffs from investments in this sort of research and development. Then, make a counterargument as to why such organisms should not be allowed a patent. While you should present both sides, you should clearly choose a position for or against and attempt to persuade the reader to adopt your position. Actively incorporate and consider issues related to sustainability (societal, economic, and environmental), as well.

Arguments against might be found on websites such as Greenpeace. (https://www.greenpeace.org/usa/)
Also, be sure to read the United States Supreme Court decision of Diamond v. Chakrabarty. (https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/447/303/)

The written assignment must:
state legitimate arguments in favor of the position
state legitimate counterarguments against the position
persuade the reader to take the writer’s position
use acceptable sources (including laws, legal theories, academic articles, etc.) to support the arguments, particularly the writer’s position. All sources are cited in APA format.
demonstrates a high quality of writing, including the use of clear and concise language

Trace the evolution of policing and punishment over the course of American history. How have these forces created race, class, and gender inequalities? And how have social movements responded?

Trace the evolution of policing and punishment over the course of American history. How have these forces created race, class, and gender inequalities? And how have social movements responded?
This essay prompt asks you to combine a review of the historical information with your own research on policies and practices in contemporary America. Here’s how to do that:
In your answer, make sure to define 4 key concepts: unequal protection, unequal enforcement, underpolicing, and overpolicing. Then, explore at least two of these concepts in detail by tracing their significance from the past into the present. Understanding their significance in the past means relying on lectures/readings, and tracing their significance into the present means using research tools to investigate policies and practices happening today.
In answering the prompt, make sure to illustrate not just your understanding of race but also class and gender. In other words, make sure to use an intersectional analysis.
Basic Components of the Paper

This should include a sentence that conveys your argument.
This should also include a roadmap of sorts that tells the reader what your essay will cover.

TOPIC: “Word of God”,
Scriptures, and the Qur’an

Some of our course
readings, such as those by Graham, Cantwell-Smith
as well as others, present an
overview of the study of the Qur’an and Islam in academic contexts as well as more
generally in the “West” (Europe and North America). In this essay, please use two readings
(Graham and Cantwell-Smith). On the basis of these two readings, present an overview
and then discuss what Graham means by the “Oral Qur’an. Following your
discussion of Graham, please outline and then discuss what Cantwell- Smith builds into his
theoretical approach to the Qur’an when he states that the Qur’an’s meaning is the
“history of its meanings.” Lastly, space permitting, please include your

assessment of their
underlying concerns and questions: what do these two scholars aim to

address as a means of
resolving misconceptions of the Qur’an in both academic contexts

as well as in the
“West”?
