Assignment Tasks:
Part A (15%)
You are to create a DNVB. Identify it and the products and/or services you would be offering.
Along with the name, identify the products and/or services you would be offering.
Explain how this is a DNVB versus just another e-business.
Describe the channel strategy (e.g. omni-channel, multi-channel, single channel) you think would be appropriate upon start-up. What about short-to-medium term?
Develop a research plan to determine the viability of your e-business; the target market and the needs you would be serving. Describe your research methodology including the type of data you will be after; qualitative, quantitative or both. Explain your rationale for this choice. How will you collect the data; i.e. assuming it’s all on-line, what tools and/or platforms will you use?
Note: This is a plan, not the actual strategy you described in #3.
Part B (10%)
List three challenges you would face in developing your DNVB and what help (e.g. software support, digital sales support, etc….) you would seek in addressing these challenges. Be specific in naming the products and/or services you might use.
Your submission must be formatted in accordance with APA guidelines. The submission must include the following: cover page with your name and the name of your project, table of contents, executive summary, body, bibliography, and other appendices. The report should be formatted for 8 ½ x11 paper with 1” margins, double spaced, 12 point font. No more than 2,000 words total (for both Parts A & B)
The complete bibliography will reference all work of other individuals, including course notes, textbooks, journals, websites, interviews, and proprietary documents.

1) From Ch 1 of our textbook, managerial accounting is used to plan and control. Planning is setting a goal or objective. What do you think about the plan/target Wells Fargo executive management set for customer accounts? (Things to consider: what was the intent of the goal? intent good or bad? how was the target level of the goal set? is it reasonable? what goal would you set to increase your company’s profitability?)
2) How did Wells Fargo control after establishing a plan? Control in this context means to incentivize or influence employees behavior so their actions are aligned with the company’s goal. (Things to consider: how were branches/employees held accountable or motivated? how was executive management held accountable for attaining the goal?)
3) So who’s fault is it? Who should be held responsible for the fraudulent account creation? Why? What consequences should they face?
4) It’s often difficult to get all the facts about a situation like this. What question(s) do you still have and why is that question important?

Apply the knowledge you learn from this course and use covid-19 data from CDC website to describe how Covid 19 disease patterns (mortality rate/morbidity rate) varied by people (age, gender, and race) and time. 1 – Selecting a topic (300 Words)
The research process begins by thinking about possible topics that you could focus on. Inspiration for research can come from previous studies, current events, engagement with community groups, and personal experiences. As a social scientist, the possibilities are endless!

In this case, you are asked to think about a topic you would like to research. Reflect on your reasons for studying this topic and why it is important. Now write a 300-word reflexive entry explaining the following:

1. What your chosen topic is
2. Why it is important and relevant
In introducing the importance of your research topic, you may also include some contextual or industry-related evidence from the literature to add strength to your proposed topic.

2 – Identifying relevant literature (400 Words)
Your second task involves narrowing down the focus for your research study. To do this, you will need to search for relevant literature on the topic.
Now write a 300-word reflexive entry commenting on the following:

1. In view of your selected topic, come up with a list of 5 key words relevant to the topic and comment on your rationale for these choices
2. Identify three good quality references that you could use in your literature review.
Comment on how you went about finding these and explain why they are relevant and useful – are they journal articles, books, websites? Comment on their quality.

N.B. Please note that this task is not about writing a literature review but about understanding the literature and demonstrating skills of identifying good and reliable sources.

3 – Writing a research question (300 Words)
Based on your reading of the literature and the useful sources you have identified, write a 300-word reflexive entry commenting on the following

1. Outline the importance of developing research questions for a study.
2. Can you formulate a research question or questions that would help you narrow down your topic and the focus of you study?

4 – Identifying a philosophical position and methodological orientation (400 Words)
Working with your research question(s), you must now decide on the philosophical position that would best inform your research query. Your task is to write a 300 word reflexive entry commenting on the following:

1. What philosophical position would you adopt to answer your RQ? Why is this a good choice?

CLAIM-ANALYSIS PAPERS
You are expected to turn in five Claim-Analysis papers over the course of the term.
