Each assignment in this course has been building your understanding of integration. While other
assignments have allowed you to identify the model of integration with which you most closely
align, this Integration Presentation Assignment is about synthesizing all you have learned to
demonstrate your understanding of each text’s discussion of integration.

INSTRUCTIONS
 You will utilize the 3 class texts to create a PowerPoint (or Prezi) presentation.
 The presentation should be attractive in nature, well thought out, and something that
could be used to educate professionals both in academia and in the Church regarding the
various conceptualizations of integration of Christianity and psychology.
 The presentation should include a title slide, at least 15 slides of “body” and a slide
including references.
 Cover Entwistle’s six models.
 Cover Johnson’s five views.
 Discuss ways in which integrating concepts such as prayer, scripture, sin, confession,
forgiveness, and redemption can aid spiritual health (as described in McMinn’s text).

This paper asks you to do three tasks: 1) Briefly summarize the essay, 2) explore the rhetorical situation, and 3) analyze the way the text fits the genre (the characteristics and qualities of memoir).

Briefly summarize the essay, including information about the publication and the intended audience.
A significant element of memoir is bringing the story to life. Readers understand the experience more through what the writer shows them than what the writer tells them. Identify how the author uses specific description, especially concrete details to show the experience. (This should be a major portion of your paper.)
Writers also use reflection to help readers understand important parts of the story. Reflective information shows how the writer views the What reflective moments do you notice in the story?
Memoir shows the personality of the What does the writer seem like to you? Be specific about what in the story has formed your opinion (by citing direct text from the essay).

Discuss about some real-world applications of prospect theory. The material presented there (p. 70) is a nice summary of the ideas presented in the chapter, and a good self-test for whether you “get” this particular set of ideas.
Reflect on this quote: “Diminishing sensitivity to successive losses means that the cost of the last bet is relatively trivial compared to what has already been spent” (p. 70).
Why should this be so? Explain that in your own words. And/or, given the fact that Las Vegas is open 24 hours a day (and the casinos have no clocks and no windows), WHEN should we expect the heaviest and most exciting betting action to occur in Vegas?
