What other types of data collection could you have used, and how might this have affected your study?

Steps to Complete the Week 7 Lab
Step 1: Find these articles in the Chamberlain Library. Once you click each link, you will be logged into the Library and then click on “PDF Full Text”.
First Article: Confidence Intervals, Part 1 (Links to an external site.)
Second Article: Confidence Intervals, Part 2 (Links to an external site.)
Step 2: Consider the use of confidence intervals in health sciences with these articles as inspiration and insights.
Step 3: Using the data you collected for the Week 5 Lab (heights of 10 different people that you work with plus the 10 heights provided by your instructor), discuss your method of collection for the values that you are using in your study (systematic, convenience, cluster, stratified, simple random). What are some faults with this type of data collection? What other types of data collection could you have used, and how might this have affected your study?
Step 4: Now use the Week 6 Spreadsheet to help you with calculations for the following questions/statements.
a) Give a point estimate (mean) for the average height of all people at the place where you work. Start by putting the 20 heights you are working with into the blue Data column of the spreadsheet. What is your point estimate, and what does this mean?

b) Find a 95% confidence interval for the true mean height of all the people at your place of work. What is the interval? [see screenshot below]
c) Give a practical interpretation of the interval you found in part b, and explain carefully what the output means. (For example, you might say, “I am 95% confident that the true mean height of all of the people in my company is between 64 inches and 68 inches”).
d) Post a screenshot of your work from the t value Confidence Interval for µ from the Confidence Interval tab on the Week 6 Excel spreadsheet
Step 5: Now, change your confidence level to 99% for the same data, and post a screenshot of this table, as well.
Step 6: Compare the margins of error from the two screenshots. Would the margin of error be larger or smaller for the 99% CI? Explain your reasoning.
Step 7: Save the Week 7 Lab document with your answers and include your name in the title.
Step 8: Submit the document.

Discuss what your “number” would be – when would you gracefully bow out of the game?

I’m not sure how many of you watched “Breaking Bad”, but an early theme and decision-point in that show was Walter White deciding what his “number” was. That is, at what point would he quit playing “the game”?
Read through the description of the St. Petersburg Paradox on pp. 66-67, and also listen to the chapter 7 lecture files.
After reflecting on the material, discuss what your “number” would be – when would you gracefully bow out of the game? Or would you keep playing, going all-in, over and over? You can refer to a specific scenario/game, or keep this in the metaphorical realm (wherein you consider all of life a ‘game’).

Define and explain the term Balanced Field Length (BFL) and how environmental conditions may affect the calculation of this term.

Concept papers are designed to explore key concepts and ideas from the exercises and apply them to practical situations. These practical situations will be drawn from NTSB accident or incident investigations. They are intended to help the student gain greater insight into the procedures, rules, and techniques that are contained in this course and how they can be used to conduct a safe and efficient flight. Concept papers should be formatted as follows. Failure to follow the prescribed format will result in points deducted from the score.
The concept papers are to be typed, double-spaced, a minimum of 750 words in the body of the text (does not include title page, abstract, appendix, references, etc.). The content of the paper is expected to be concise and to the point, without extraneous “filler” material. The content is to be logically organized and the points mentioned should support the conclusions. Any references used, including the course text, must be included in the references section. References cited must conform to either APA or MLA formats.

Concept Paper 1:
Take two of your findings from Exercise 1, and compare them to what the Pilot Guide to Takeoff Safety (PGTS) says. Do your findings (be specific about what they are) support or contradict the recommendations or explanations in the PGTS? (Cite the page number of the PGTS where you found your reference.)
V1 can be defined as two concepts, what are they? Discuss the penalties of a late decision to reject the takeoff.
Define and explain the term Balanced Field Length (BFL) and how environmental conditions may affect the calculation of this term.
Define the effects of density altitude on takeoff performance.

Describe the setting of your healthcare facility and place of practice.

A Signature Assignment is designated for each course and is placed near or at the end of an academic term. This assignment carries the most weighted value when determining a student’s final course grade. The student must earn a minimum of 78% on the Signature Assignment. This means that a student with an overall passing grade can still fail the course if the Signature Assignment is assessed at less than a weighted value of 78%.

Explain How World War I Changed Aviation History?

**Please write a response to these two discussions. I have attached an example of a response in the document and each response should not exceed 150 words.
* If you want to use reference to the responses, please use only from these two resources or you don’t need citation at all.

Discussion 1:
Two events in WWI that I’m going to talk about that expanded the use of airplane for military purposes are the first armaments used by aircraft and the relative speed at which aircraft could be produced.
The article talked about how the first “armaments” used by WWI aviators were pistols and grenades carried by the pilots (BBC, 2014). The development of more powerful engines and increased maneuverability of the aircraft allowed the use of more lethal armaments such as machine guns and actual bombs (BBC, 2014). This transition has a clear path to what armament was used in WWII and beyond. The ability to carry an atomic bomb that weighs 10,800 lbs (Fat Man) (Atomic Heritage Foundation, 2014) to the fully armed GAU-8 Avenger used by the A-10 Warthog (Lockie, 2016), evolved from the early armaments used in WWI.
The other event that had great impact on the expanded use of airplanes for military purpose is the speed at which manufacturers could build an aircraft. At the end of WWI, all of the countries involved in the war produced over 200,000 aircraft (BBC, 2014). Not only was the amount produced astounding, but the speed at which the aircraft was evolving throughout the war and the ability for manufacturers to keep up with that evolution. Since the loss of aircraft in WWI was relatively high, if countries weren’t able to reasonably keep up with replacing them, the use of aviation in war may have been just a blip in human history.
To me, these two events are major turning points in the evolution of aircraft from a novelty in human innovation to military tactical superiority.
Discussion 2:
When the Wright brothers were able to put together the in December of 1903 (Lawrence, 2015), they probably did not imagine that their invention would change so much so fast when World War I started. When WWI started airplanes were not very sturdy and pilots were not very familiar with traversing the skies and knowing where they were flying. (BBC, 2014) When aircraft were being used more and more for surveillance, it become very important to strengthen the aircraft and give them an advantage so they could not be shot down with just a normal revolver. Today the use of aircraft are for “control of the air, strike, reconnaissance and mobility” and all these purposes would not be what they are today if not for the extensive use and development of airplanes in WWI. (BBC, 2014).
With the technological advances during WWI, the maneuverability and combat capabilities have improved exponentially. We have gone from hand dropping grenades, using road maps and atlas’s to having accelerometers, navigational aids and homing missiles being right on the pilot’s interface. It’s almost impossible to think where modern aviation would be without the use of airplanes in WWI.

Explain the importance of one of the algorithms listed below to computer science. Each of these algorithms is really important to computer science.

Research Report Description
For this research paper you are going to look at a graph algorithm. Your goal is to understand why the algorithm was needed and how it works. You do not need to understand the implementation level details. You must be able to complete the algorithm in a pencil and paper example. For example, you should be able to draw a graph and simulate the algorithm running with just scrap paper.
Explain the importance of one of the algorithms listed below to computer science. Each of these algorithms is really important to computer science. Your main goal is to explain how the algorithm works. Your secondary goal is to explain why is was invented and what it is for. Your paper should be about 40% history/context and 60% about how the algorithm works. Make sure to give the computational complexity of the algorithm at some point in your paper.
You should answer all the questions listed in the Grading Rubric Below at some point in your paper. Do Not explicity list and answer the questions. You may use section headings if you wish. They should be covered as part of an overall cohesive story about the algorithm.
Depending on the algorithm you select, some questions may have shorter or longer answers. You should focus on the areas that make the most sense for your algorithm. Just make sure you at least note the answer to each question at some point.
You must make up an original example and use it to show how your algorithm works. Make your own graphs and use them to explain steps of the algorithm’s execution. You can draw them on paper and take pictures or use a drawing program. A great program for making graphs is https://graphviz.org
You can write your paper in anything you wish. You must meet the following formatting requirements.
Formatting
The paper should be no longer than 12 pages, not including pictures, bibliography and title. Follow the MLA format described at the links below. There is no minimum length.
Submit as a PDF file. You can generate it with any program you like.
