Week 4 Lecture
Chapter 8 of the course text, Principles of Marketing
As you are likely aware, your internship brand doesn’t just do business in the United States. So in this interactive activity, we’re going to research their past global activity. But rather than writing about it, we’re going to talk about it—by creating a video presentation.
To complete this assignment, you need to do the following:
Create a six slide PowerPoint presentation.
What you need to cover: Introduce yourself.
Identify your internship company and a specific country to analyze your brand’s international market. (Intership company is Under Armour)
The country can be from Asia, South America, Europe, the Middle East, or anywhere else on the globe.
Pitch two elements from each quadrant of actors and forces about your internship company.
Refer to Table 8.1 of Chapter 8.
Slide Requirements
Create six slides with Microsoft Powerpoint (Links to an external site.)
Structure your slides as follows:
Slide 1 – Include your name, internship company, country or market.
Slides 2 to 5 – Include two elements of each quadrant from Table 8.1, with brief highlights of your discussion points, on each slide.
Slide 6 – Include a summary of your presentation.
Must be only 6 slides (See below’s tab – Formatting Requirements – for more details).
Save your slides as a PDF file and then upload the PDF version of your slide in Waypoint.
Helpful Tips
Identify the countries your internship company does or did business in by checking out the corporate website or the latest annual report.
Then, search your brand in business periodicals such as Forbes in conjunction with country names or terms like “foreign” or “international.” See which markets have been written about and select one.
Think of specific challenges the company faced entering the specific country’s market (e.g., cultural norms, language barriers, local competition, government regulations, economic conditions, etc.).

Use the original story of Little Red Riding Hood and the text version of Cinderella.

Explain how your interpretation of the story (and the story itself) teaches us something useful as human beings.
Explain how your interpretation of the story (and the story itself) teaches us something useful as human beings.
Note: Don’t simply copy/paste portions of your essay; consider what works like those studied in the humanities can impart to us.
Discuss what literary elements or dramatic devices the author utilizes to achieve meaning and generate interest.
After having read A Doll’s House, explain which literary theory you think it is most useful to discuss the play as a whole, or a specific aspect of it. If you think more than one theory is applicable, feel free to discuss those too.
Discuss what literary elements or dramatic devices the author utilizes to achieve meaning and generate interest. For example, you may want to consider any or all of the following: How does the author use foreshadowing to hint at events to come in the play? What symbols do you see in the play? What do they mean? How does Ibsen use dramatic irony (when the audience knows something a character doesn’t) to generate suspense? Discuss Nora’s epiphany. What is the nature of her realization, and what are its consequences?
What does the character want/what objectives do they pursue or are thwarted from pursuing and how are they a reflection of their personality?
The first choice of topic will be a character analysis. Students should analyze and evaluate an important
character from the Odyssey, Antigone, or Hamlet, and consider what important ideas they contribute
either to the idea of being human or inhuman or civilized or uncivilized
Issues to consider include:
1. What are their basic personality traits or temperament?
2. What is their role in the story?
3. What does the character want/what objectives do they pursue or are thwarted from pursuing and how
are they a reflection of their personality?
4. What does he/she do when they are faced with problems?
5. What do other characters say about him/her?
6. What is his/her ‘station’ or status and how do they or do they not reflect that status?
7. What is expected of him/her?
8. What does he/she represent and why was he/she remembered?
Papers should be three to four pages. At least three complete pages of writing. Any ideas that are not
your own should be properly cited within the text and in work cited section. MLA style of reference is
preferred. Papers will be submitted via Canvas. Be sure to pledge that you have abided by the Stevens
Honor Code underneath your Work Cited page.
Discuss at least four relevant ethics codes that you have learned in this course thus far.
Controversial treatments can also be evidence based. There is debate in the field of ABA surrounding treatments involving guided compliance and extinction, particularly attention extinction and escape extinction. Some behavior analysts are quick to jump to these interventions, not fully considering how the side effects will impact the client. These interventions can be aversive and arguably considered punishment.
Conduct a search for information on one of the following aversive procedures: guided (forced) compliance, attention extinction, and escape extinction. Cite the source and describe the treatment.
Prepare 3–4 pro statements that might be given to support the use of the treatment. Also, prepare 3–4 con statements that might be given to oppose the treatment.
Evaluate your findings. Discuss at least four relevant ethics codes that you have learned in this course thus far.
Assignment Requirements
Your assignment should meet the following requirements:

Resources: 2–4 recent scholarly or professional resources.
Length: 3–4 double-spaced pages, in addition to a title page and a references page.
