Analyzing County Administrative Structure

Analyze in 2-pages single-spaced the effectiveness of the CAO or CFO position of a county of your choice and make recommendations as appropriate. The audience is the County Commissioners (elected leaders). Due: February 13, 2022.

For the county you have selected, determine who (1 person or multiple persons) functions as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and the current structural arrangements for the Finance function. Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of these structural arrangements based on the best practices described in two sources. The sources can be academic or practitioner sources for local government financial administration. Your analysis should consider the advantages and disadvantages of the county’s organizational structure for encouraging strong fiscal stewardship.

The class textbook is NOT counted as one of the two sources, but you should include in-text citations for page numbers from the textbook as necessary. Also, any source documents from the county you analyzed should be cited, but they are NOT counted as one of the two sources. Finally, popular media sources can be included to bolster your argument concerning the need for (or current functioning of) a CAO for the county you are analyzing. Still, they also are NOT counted as one of the two sources. Popular media examples are local media stories or articles in professional association newsletters, magazines, websites, podcasts, or webinars).

This week, you will apply your readings of the various theories that impact growth and development to health. For this paper, select one of the theories discussed in Chapter 5 of vour textbook: • Fred’s Psychoanalytical Theory • Freud’s Defense Mechanisms • Erikson’s Psychosocial Theory Piaget’s Theory of Cognitive Development Kohlbere’s Theory of Moral Development • Maslow’s Theory of Human Needs Once you have selected a theory, you will provide a thorough analysis of how that theory is connected to healthcare, health outcomes, and/or individual health behaviors. You must use a minimum of 3 peer-reviewed references in your research. As always, you can use the following databases to find peer-reviewed articles for your research:

Your assignment submission should be at least 3 pages, double spaced, 12-point font, and
cohesive (i.e. not separated by the questions asked, not a list, etc.). It should contain proper
grammar, be free of spelling errors, and reflect critical thinking. Be sure to write the paper in
APA format and include the citations for your sources. Please see the APA Paper Template
for assistance with the formatting of your paper. Review the rubric PRIOR to completing the
assignment for more information on what is expected. Be sure that you are
submitting ORIGINAL WORK. Uncheck will be enabled and will detect if you are using someone
else’s paper or copied information from other sources. All papers with a similarity score over
15% will be reviewed and risk an automatic grade of zero.

The Executive’s Guide to Better Listening

Please refer to attached articles

In the first formal case write-up (see attached case “Evergreen Willows”), you will use the Psychosocial Systems Model (PSSM) to structure your analysis and the theories we have read and discussed online (management, motivation, communication, etc.) to analyze the problem in this case and provide some ideas on resolving the problems.

Use the relevant concepts in the PSSM to describe/understand the problems in the case.

parcipitative leadership

Develop a full-sentence outline of your research topic, taking care to structure your thoughts on the topic in a coherent fashion that clearly illustrates your objectives and intentions.

Your full sentence outline should identify your thesis statement, the leadership in healthcare topic, and also a leadership theory or approach learned in this course. You must incorporate at least one leadership theory or approach to tie into your leadership in health care topic in your final paper. (i chose participative leadership) You must incorporate the use of at least 6 references (as required in your final paper) to use within your outline.

Follow the alphanumeric outline structure and use complete sentences. Use APA format throughout. Include citations as needed along with a title page and a reference page. Click here (Links to an external site.) for further information on writing a full sentence outline.

Develop Diversity

The changing diversity in the United States creates an environment where organizational cultural competency is critical. It is important for managers and leaders to build a perspective that supports the value in appreciating human diversity that enhances the workplace environment. Chapter 13 suggests and supports that diversity links the marketplace and the workplace. The Diversity Initiatives and Programs, on pp. 469–474 with headings of 13-5A through 13-5F, suggest six steps of best practices to develop diversity. Th reference attached is (Daft, R. L. (2021). Management (14th ed.). Cengage Learning).

Which step is most critical for your organization and why?
How would they take this step?
In your professional organization, what are the barriers to applying cultural literacy and competence?

How Diagnosis Affects Attention in the Classroom

Consider the following scenario:

You are the educational assistant in a kindergarten classroom. Today’s class is busy, noisy, and productive and the teacher needs to make an announcement. She raises her voice slightly and says, “You have 5 more minutes. Make sure to glue down any loose pieces right now so they are dry enough by the end of class to stack your papers.” Five minutes now pass. You notice one of the students who has not completed the task and is not ready to move on yet.

Part 1
1. Identify the child’s diagnosis and describe in two to three paragraphs what the disability is and how the disability may impact the child in a school classroom setting. Use Alberta Education (or other Provincial Department of Education) resources such as the “Understanding Medical and Disability Information” resource or other course readings such as the document “What Educators Need to know about FASD or peer reviewed academic journals or books (eg. American Psychological Association – DSM-V. Use APA citations and references and ensure research meets academic rigour standards. It is not acceptable to use web based research from non-academic sources.

2. Consider the scenario provided above and the disability that you have researched. From the student’s perspective (first-person point of view), what may be happening in this classroom situation that may affect their attention? Describe in detail what challenges to attention the student may be experiencing in this busy classroom. Imagine yourself in the role of this student, consider all the senses (hearing, vision, touch, smell) of the student and be descriiptive in your explanation. What is the student seeing, experiencing, thinking, in the classroom and what is competing for their attention? Be creative in your answer. Consider the pre-requisite skills that are needed by the student to be successful in meeting the demands of the classroom tasks when thinking about how this student may respond to the teachers directions.

A note on first person writing: First person point of view allows you to step into the shoes of the student and to view what is happening in the classroom from their perspective. The language you use and the thoughts you express should reflect a Kindergarten student with the disability described in step one. Your narrative will reflect the point of view of the student and will contain first person pronouns (I, my, mine etc.).

Part 2
From your perspective as an educational assistant, if you were in the classroom observing and interacting with this student in the scenario described above, what might you do to proactively (and reactively, if necessary) to support this student? What do you think the student might struggle with in this situation and how might you help to structure the environment, expectations or support strategies made available?

Gerontology Semester Project Guidelines
Descriiption
You will present your semester project to the class in some format. Please feel encouraged to run your ideas past me and ask for help before you post. You will give a thoughtful peer review the following week. You will then have the opportunity to revise and resubmit your project the week after that. Your final version is the one that will be graded.

The objective of this project is to demonstrate achievement of one of our course learning objectives. Use these to guide your ideas about your project. The course learning objectives are:

Students will be able to:

Demonstrate knowledge of the aging process in the national and international older population.

Examples

Your project will be an in-depth look at a smaller aspect of something related to our course learning objectives. Individual sections of the chapters we have read and research results might spark ideas. You may want to profile an activist, author or organization, or go in-depth on a past or present news event. You might want to explain a theory in depth and give an application of that theory. You may want to do a social media analysis. You may want to interview a panel of friends (or classmates). You can get ideas from our readings and discussions.
