Racism Critical thinking

Please answer the following questions:
Is there a way to align the motivations of the different actors present in Radhakrishan (2015) or other similar situations?
In the conclusion, Pon (2009) suggests that it is better to focus on HOW you form knowledge about “others” instead of trying to learn as much as you can about “others” and their cultures. Do you agree? What do you think that could look like?
In the global economy, who benefits from the construction of the cultural “other” and why?
You can choose two of them to answer.

Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper in which you examine the concept of motivation. Address the following in your paper:
Define motivation, and explain how motivation can be expressd.

Define and discuss at least 3 sources of motivation (Keep in mind that pretty much all sources fall under either intrinsic or extrinsic, but you can go a little bit more in-depth about things like achievement, needs, drive, etc.).

Analyze the relationship between the brain, motivation, and behavior (make sure to use a specific example here, covering at lea-st one part of the brain).
Apply at least 2 theories of motivation to explain how behavior exhibits motivation (several theories are discussed in the text in this week’s readings, that is a great place to get information for this part).

Include at least 2 references from scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles. Note that the text should be used as a cited and referenced source in your paper, but it does not count as one of your peer-reviewed sources. There are journal articles in the electronic reserve readings that would work well, and are considered peer-reviewed.

Format your paper and all citations and references according to APA guidelines.

Submit your assignment. Please note that the paper must be submitted as a .doc, .docx or .rtf file in order for it to be graded.

Birth of Humanity Discussion

Sometimes the names of the fossils are debated. Homo rudolfenesis and Homo habilis are often considered the same species. Also, Homo ergaster and Homo erectus are usually lumped together. There is often confusion about this since your book considers Turkana boy to be Homo ergaster and the film calls him Homo erectus.
What are the new human characteristics that develop with Homo erectus? Why did our brains start to grow? Why did Homo erectus leave Africa and what difficulties do you think they encountered? How do you think life was different outside of Africa?

When do you think a project team should plan for testing? Why?

Reflection
Reflect on the following in a minimum of 500 words. This reflection activity is comprised of two sections collectively totaling a minimum of 500 words. Complete your reflections by responding to all prompts.

Requirements Testing
As a project manager or senior systems developer, you are most likely aware that when developing new systems, teams tend to focus on understanding the requirements of the system at the start of the project. Until requirements are known, it is hard to understand design and development components. Beyond this, testing is an essential part of any systems project, no matter what SDLC is applied.

Reflect on the following:
When do you think a project team should plan for testing? Why?
Who do you think is the best resource(s) to conduct testing activities? Why?

Technology Trends
As an IT leader, you are aware that technology advances rapidly in the current market and can become dated and obsolete quickly. Organizations must keep pace with the evolution of technology to compete and sustain a market advantage.

Reflect on the following:
What are some emerging technology trends that have influenced your personal choice of an SDLC, either in your experience or in something you have read?
Discuss the trend and the influence and effect it had on you. Were there any issues?
Would you recommend the same SDLC if you had to do it again?

Submit your reflection.

Note: A reflection paper is your chance to add your thoughts and analysis to what you have read and experienced and is meant to illustrate your understanding of the material and how it affects your ideas and possible practice in the future.

Why is it important to have good financial statements?

Why is it important to have good financial statements?
Essay – 1000 words. Why is it important to have good financial statements. Sounds obvious and much of the answer is covered in the introduction. However, I want to you to go much deeper. Having a good financial statement can mean the difference between success and failure for a business. Why? Having a good statement can mean the difference between managers being engaged or not. Why? What can happen when managers don’t read their financial statements? If we don’t have a good map any road will take us where we want to go. How do you relate this statement to the question – why is it important to have good financial statements.
The learning outcome is that in order to understand the results of the business you must have meaningful statements that inform the readers as to the performance of that business. If we can understand the current performance then were on our way to improving the results. Report well, then manage, then improve and begin again. The job is never done our goal is to continually get better and the financial statements and their quality are key to this progress. Without good statements were lost before we start.

Statement of Ethical Theory and Practice

STEP 1: Statement of Ethical Theory and Practice
The aim of this first writing assignment is the development of an ethical outlook through personal reflection upon the ethical theoretical issues participants have explored during in-class discussions. Students will, to that end, be developing their own Statement of Ethical Theory.
FORMATTING: In light of your considerations of major theories in meta- and normative ethics, write a statement which addresses the following prompt. This statement should be a minimum of two pages, MLA formatted. It should be double-spaced, in standard, 12 point font, consistently formatted with a minimum of two citations.
GRADING/REVISIONS: You will receive an initial grade based on the rubric provided. Once you have received a grade and feedback, you may then re-submit for an additional 2 possible points.
PROMPT: First, explain how do you define the good (metaethics). Is it real (moral realism / moral objectivism) or non-real (moral anti-realism / moral subjectivism)? Explain your answer in terms we have covered. Then explain what what standards are most reliably used when determining an ethical course of action (normative ethics) and how these relate to your claims about the nature of the good. Are consequences most important? Which? For whom? To what end? Are obligations more important? Which? Is the cultivation of good moral character and practical wisdom most important? Explain what such moral character looks like. Is some combination of these options or some other option most reliable in determining an ethical course of action? Be specific. Use examples. Be sure to use technical jargon precisely and correctly. You should address alternative perspectives and attempt to justify your view with arguments and examples.
