Write a two to three-page paper that explains how Genghis Khan influenced the development of the modern world through his actions as EITHER an administrator OR as a military leader (pick one or the other, not both).

Task: Write a two to three-page paper that explains how Genghis Khan influenced the development of the modern world through his actions as EITHER an administrator OR as a military leader (pick one or the other, not both).
Research: You will need to conduct
research in order to gather evidence that you will use to establish your thesis. You must start researching far in advance of the assignment deadline, as this often takes as much time to accomplish as writing the paper.
• As you conduct research make sure you evaluate source materials, ensuring what you include is from a reputable source and clearly relates to the task.
• Use the library’s search tools and databases to find appropriate sources, such as books and articles from scholarly journals.
• DO NOT use Wikipedia. Doing so will result in an automatic 25% reduction to your score.
Format, Grammar & Style:
• Your paper will include the following:
◦ An introductory paragraph that contains a well-developed thesis.
◦ A paragraph for each of the ideas/evidence you selected, in which you present a clear and logical argument that directly supports your thesis.
◦ A concluding paragraph that provides a summary of evidence and argument.
• Make sure you write complete sentences.
• Paragraphs should contain at least three sentences.
• Avoid making basic/gross grammatical errors, such as:
◦ Incomplete sentences/sentence fragments
◦ Run-on sentences
◦ Verb-subject disagreement
▪ “They was late” should be corrected to “They were late.”
◦ Punctuation errors
▪ Some common errors include missing or misplaced commas and misusing apostrophes (they are not used to indicate something is plural).
• Your writing should be formal in nature and conform to the following style guidelines:
◦ Use active (NOT PASSIVE) voice.
▪ Passive: John F. Kennedy was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald.
▪ Active: Lee Harvey Oswald shot John F. Kennedy.
◦ Do not write in the first or second person (no I, me, we us, etc.).
▪ Even if you’re paper is objective (based on evidence and critical thinking), using first-person injects the possibility of subjectivity (driven by personal bias or agenda).
◦ No contractions (can’t should be can not, isn’t should be is not, etc.).
◦ Do not end sentences with prepositions.
▪ Example: He did not know where he was at. Corrected: He was lost.
• Proofread! Proofread! Proofread!
◦ The BEST way to proofread is to exchange papers with a classmate and read each other’s work. It is far easier for someone else to spot errors.
Citing Sources:
• You MUST provide a citation when your paper includes either a direct quotation or paraphrased information (information provided by a source and put it in your own words).
• If using a direct quote from a source (only one or two brief ones allowed), you need to place quotation marks around the quoted passage and then place the title of the book/article, the author’s last name, and the page number in parentheses at the end of the sentence, followed by the period.
• If citing a website, place the web address in parentheses.
• If you paraphrase, all you need to do is put the page number you are referring to in parentheses at the end of the sentence, followed by the period.
• Examples:
◦ Citing a direct quotation: When Xerxes asked why the Macedonian army always won Alexander replied, “because you suck and I rock” (Some Book, Doe, 16).
◦ Citing paraphrased material: When Xerxes asked why the Macedonian army always won Alexander told him that it was because he was a better commander (Some Article, Doe, 67).
◦ If using a direct quote from a source, place quotation marks around the passage and include a citation.
• If you include direct quotations, make sure they are explained and contextualized and not stand alone “floating” quotations.
• Ensure that punctuation appears inside quotation marks.
• Using multiple and/or long direct quotations will be penalized — only use one or two and ONLY if absolutely necessary. Paraphrasing is almost always the best course of action.
Plagiarism
• Plagiarism occurs when an individual borrows words, ideas, original material, or data from another person, group, or organization without acknowledging the original source of the material. Students are expected to cite sources correctly.
◦ Your paper will be checked for plagiarism by Turnitin when you submit it.
◦ For more information about plagiarism and how to avoid it, check out the following resources.
• As stated in the syllabus, committing plagiarism in this course will result in one of the following:
◦ receiving a score of zero on the assignment
◦ being withdrawn and receiving the grade of F for the course

Who is your favorite maestro — Verdi, Wagner, or Puccini — and why?

All three composers were widely successful opera composers during their lifetime, and their works are still produced around the world to this day. Each composer has their own unique style, which is highlighted in the textbook. As listeners we tend to pick favorites, which composer are you siding with and why?
Before answering this question, go back and review the works by each composer, particularly in Chapter 18.
In your initial post, select a composer and give a specific description of plot, character development, and elements of music from one or more of their operas. Use the textbook for reference. You may also search the web for help in your description (always cite your sources!). Explain why your composer is your favorite.

Working with Diversity and Conflict

Choose a diversity policy relating to your future profession from the list provided below. In a report format, evaluate the policy using research. (HUMAN RESOURCES IS MINE)
Ensure you provide an evaluation grounded in theory and scholarly research. Do not simply describe the contents of the policy. Instead, consider the role of diversity policies, the included details of the policy, the strategies employed, how these are implemented, and the role of leadership. Does the organisation have an effective policy that supports and enhances diversity and inclusion? Evaluations need to be more detailed than simply ‘good’ or ‘bad’, and evidence is needed to justify these conclusions.
The following areas could be included in your evaluation:
1. The purpose of the policy
a. The organisation’s justification of policy
b. Organisational commitment to diversity
2. The policy descriptions and readability
a. Accessibility of policy
b. Links to other policies or strategies
3. The implementation practices outlined
a. Measurement and monitoring
b. Recruitment and retention
c. Other strategies
4. The leadership governing the policy
a. Organisational structure
b. Specific leaders and their commitment to the policy and to diversity (e.g. CEO, diversity leader, managers, etc)
c. Organisational culture
2
In addition to your evaluation, provide 2-3 considered and justified recommendations to improve the organisation’s policy and/or practices. The report evaluation must be justified with high-level research.
For higher marks, ensure you draw on recent (within about 5 years) high quality (peer-reviewed journals) research in addition to any industry or government resources.Ensure you provide an evaluation grounded in theory and scholarly research. Criminological theories that explain young people and drug use in England and Wales

Develop a question based on 1 of the 7 topics outlined in the lecture slides and above. This question should utilised the main topic area but then you should narrow this down to a question you find most interesting
Use DMU library and/or google scholar to identify 6 or more academic peer reviewed articles that will help answer your question and tell you about the topic.
The information in these articles is brought together in a discussion section to answer your question.
In your assessment tab, you have an academic resource booklet. You can download this and use this as a guide to breaking down the content of the articles.
Ensure that you collate the information from different articles
Structure of the Assessment
Introduction (500 words): You should introduce a background discussion on your question and chosen topic. So if your question is about domestic violence in the UK, you will want to incorporate some statistics, and a background on what this looks like. This will lead into your research question.
Methodology: (500)
Identify whether you are doing a systematic or critical literature review. Describe why you are doing one or the other
Give me a step by step guide of your library search plan. Tell me how you got your articles. Where were they collated. What key words did you use and why, What parameters did you use such as dates and why
Tell me why you searched only for peer reviewed articles. What is peer review and why is this important
Tell me how you brought together your articles. How did you go about finding the similarities and differences. Did you create a table to help organise your thoughts.
The above should lead into a discussion on how you identified your themes or key thematic area that set the foundation for your discussion.
You should discuss the ethics of a literature review.
