The project is to be submitted in typed (word-processed) format on no more than 8 and no less than 5 pages of 8½ by 11 inch paper. This is an electronic submission to the assignments section of Blackboard. The font size should be 12 pitch in Times New Roman. Margins should be one inch. Please single space the text.
The page requirement is exclusive of Title Page and Reference page.
The Title Page includes your name, the date, the course number/title, and your project title.
If you use material from outside resources, appropriate credit must be given to the source and a list of references is required. You may use either MLA or APA style to present references.

Choose a historical or current leader. Describe what you believe to be their leadership style (or styles). Use the knowledge you have gained in this course to prove your position. Back up your position with events and actions from your leader’s history. Remember that leaders evolve over their live and will have more than one style. Be sure to explain why you admire (or don’t) this leader. Finally explain how you can use the leader’s example in your life to help achieve your life goals.

Choose a law or policy (might be a policy at VGCC, your child’s school, or your work place( I work as a Medical Assistant at a doctor office)) that you think should be different – DO NOT choose a large law like abortion or the death penalty; you should choose something much more local to you. In your essay, your claim should be what you think the policy SHOULD be and support your policy using at least three of the strategies of argumentation that you have been studying.
As part of your essay assignment, you will want to do a little research and include at least two sources in your essay. These sources can be articles, books, videos, etc.. Wikipedia pages are NOT acceptable. Please cite these sources in MLA format and incorporate them into your paper in some way. Provide the sources on a Works Cited Page at the end of your paper.
Your essay should be at least 600 words long written in the standard 5-paragraph essay format you learned in ENG 111, including a thesis statement at the end of the introductory paragraph, focused body paragraphs with clear topic sentences, and a conclusion. Essays less than 600 words (not including the works cited page) will not be graded.
Remember, your essay should support your policy, not say why the other law/policy is wrong.
Remember that this essay is academic writing, so you don’t want to use “you” in your essay.

Research and prepare a report on your selection made in Week 2 on the current trend in the area of Biometrics.

There are two parts to this discussion:
Discussion: Discuss the 3 types of IRB review (exempt, expedited, full board review). What type of research is eligible for each review type? What factors dictate which type of review is required?
Journal club: Find a primary peer-reviewed journal article relevant to public health that went through IRB approval (if they used human subjects, they had IRB approval). It can be the same article from last week or a new one. For Research Paper: Local Community and Intercultural
Communication assignment, you will focus on cross-cultural effectiveness of
ministry engagement in the local community, e.g. working with the homeless,
youth group, helping immigrants, etc., using CQ and intercultural communication
principles.

Scenario Exercise:
Your company Acme Logistics has recently been experiencing some thefts of equipment during the business day. All employees have been asked about the thefts and no one is claiming that they are responsible. Your facilities has three doors that are not locked during business hours and currently have no identification standards set for admittance.
You have been tasked with resolving this issue technologically. Using a mixture of Biometric devices, surveillance systems with advanced tracking for biometric tags such as gait analysis, and other items or technology you deem necessary, you must capture these individuals and stop the thefts. You need to produce a plan on how you are going to tackle this situation. You should submit a proposal with the following items:
1) What is the situational breakdown?
2) What is the technology you will use to secure access to authorized individuals at the three public doors?
3) What is the technology you will use to capture the individuals in the act of stealing items?
4) What is the anticipated cost to the company?
5) What is the anticipated roll out time frame?
6) Are there any legal issues we must be concerned about?
Please answer these questions as a business proposal for your boss to review and approve. It is anticipated that the assignment will be between 4-6 pages long, and writing quality (APA) will be enforced, do include a list of references and sources, if necessary.
