Watch the video Putting Human Caring Back into Social Services by Richard Aston and write a 2-3 page reflection paper on the film and your reaction to it. A direct link is found below in the module folder. Submit to the drop box by 6/20 by 11:59 P.M.

Identify a point or situation that the author raises in the reading that you find interesting, did not know, or raises concern. Provide a basic summary of what the point or situation is. No more than 2 paragraphs are needed for this.

Critically analyze the point or situation using at least two categories of analysis, concepts, or ideas that we have discussed in the class so far. In doing this, you are to explain how the point or situation you have chosen can be made sense of, understood, or critiqued.

Provide at least one piece of current evidence that shows how the point or situation you raised is relevant or irrelevant in contemporary society. I want the evidence to be from a current secondaryh source (newspaper, video, book, etc.). You may additionally use class discussions/other readings/films to backup your point/argument.

Lastly, explain how the point or situation you chose to examine affects your daily life and/or how issues surrounding or related to the point or situation affect your community. Think about how the impacts, effects, or legacies of that point or situation are still evident today. In this section, be aware of and explain how your thoughts are impacted by experiences in your life.

It should be clear in the critical responses that you are engaging with the work in this class and that you are thinking deeply and critically about itbeyond the surface. Each critical response should be minimum 3 pages in length.

By this point, you know a lot about your project design. You have taken steps each week to learn more and more about your specific problem or opportunity and what it is you want to do to engage in a change process. Write an executive summary of your capstone project. As the project leader you are writing the executive summary of your project proposal to your executive project sponsor. This summary should be 3-5 pages and include the following:
Background – Brief introduction to the organization and what caused the need for the project.
Opportunity/Problem Statement – What is the focus of the project proposal
Business Case – Why is it important?
Stakeholder Analysis & Communication Plan
Goals and Measures – What does a successful project look like? How will you know when you are making progress?
Next Steps – How will you implement your project (short term focus) and also make sure that the project evolves with the change that will inevitably exist in your organization (long term focus)?

The following questions are based on suggestions at the back of the novel in the section designed for book club discussions. Answer each with at least two specific references from the text for each question to support your ideas. Include the page number in a citation after you refer to the text.

1. Both Isabelle and Vianne take on war-time roles that depart from traditional roles assigned to women during that time period. Talk about what would have been considered “normal” for women in the 1940’s and contrast that with the nontraditional role that each sister plays. Considering the themes explored in Frederick Douglass’s My Bondage and My Freedom, make a connection between the text and other movements that fight for equal rights (Womens Rights, LGBTQ, Education, or BLM/Race). In the case Does I-IX,Workers in China… v. Walmart Stores in your textbook, some employees of Walmart’s suppliers wanted to sue Walmart for not following up to make sure those suppliers were following local law (as required in their contracts). These employees allege that they were intended third party beneficiaries of those contracts and therefore should be allowed to sue when Walmart “breached” the contracts. The court sided with Walmart saying that these workers were NOT intended third party beneficiaries. In an original post explain why you agree or disagree with the court.
