photography exbit

You will be creating an exhibit based on the work of 3 different photographers we have looked at and discussed over the course of the semester. You are essentially a curator, a person who organizes, designs, and presents an exhibit for the public in a museum or gallery. I will give you some themes to choose from and you will build an exhibit based on those themes.
Your exhibit needs to include:
3 different photographers that we have discussed
Brief paragraph bio on each photographer like the museums exhibits we have seen
18 images
Captions for each image and the title, date, author, materials, dimensions, information like a museum card
1-page written statement explaining why these 3 photographers and these particular 18 images work together to
create the theme or story you are trying to show through this photographic exhibit.
Over the semester we will look at various photography exhibits so you can get ideas of how to successfully execute this project.

data collection methods

Chapter 9 is a good reference if you are planning a survey, you need to describe the type of survey you plan to conduct: self-administered, telephone, face-to-face, or Internet. Whichever you choose, there will be numerous logistical details to spell out in the proposal. How will you deal with non-respondents, for example? Will you have a follow-up mailing in a self-administered questionnaire, follow-up calls in a telephone survey, and so forth. In the case of interview surveys, it will be appropriate to say something about the way youll select and train the interviewers. You should also say something about the time frame within which the survey will be conducted.
Chapter 10 laid out a large number of possibilities for conducting field research. You should indicate the kind of study you plan to do. Will you be the sole observer in the study? If not, how will you select and train the other observers? Will you be a participant in the events youre observing and, if so, will you identify yourself as a researcher to the people being observed? You might indicate how these choices may affect what you observe. You may need to describe your note-taking plans if that task is likely to be difficult (for instance, as a participant not identified as a researcher). If you will be conducting in-depth interviews, you should include an outline of the topics to be covered in those interviews. Comment on your proposed schedule.
Chapter 11 provided an overview of three major types of unobtrusive measures: content analysis, existing statistics, and historical/comparative. For this assignment you will want to identify which method and orientation you plan to use (qualitative or quantitative). You will need to describe the data you will use and anything special about your access to the data. Whether you are studying newspaper editorials, infant mortality rates, or accounts of political revolutions, you will likely face potential problems of validity and reliability. Make note of any approximations you plan to make.
You are only required to use one of these methods, but you are not limited to only one.
This assignment should be 1-2 pages, double-spaced, and be written in APA format.
This assignment should include the following:
An APA formatted cover page, including a running head and page number.
You may or may not include your Introduction, Literature Review, Specifics of the Problem and Research Design in this assignment. Some people prefer to build on what they have and others prefer to keep the sections separate until compiling them. Only the Data Collection Methods will be graded and commented on.
You will use a main heading for this section Data Collection Methods where you will identify the type of method you will be utilizing to gather your datas. In addition, you should have sub-headings that are specific to your method choice.
APA Reference page for any cited information in this section. This section is not required to have cited information in it, but if it does, provide a reference page.
This assignment will be graded based on the following criteria:
Quality of content including the ability to summarize the intent of your data collection, ability to communicate your method of collection, and provide detailed specifics that would allow replication. (20 points)
Quality of writing and mechanics such as thesis statement, organization, grammar and spelling. (10 points)
APA formatting that includes the cover page, margins, font, page numbers, in-text citations, and references. (10 points)

Diseases of the Nervous System, Special Senses and Mental Illness and Cognitive Disorders

The assignment should be in paragraph form using complete sentences and avoiding bullet points and numbered list.

4. Can mental illnesses be prevented, cured, or are people born with the illness, explain? What are some of the early warning signs of mental illness? Do you feel there is a social stigma around some or all mental illnesses, explain.

Discussion – Making an Eternal Bet?

At least 250 words, cite all sources, including argument, in APA format.
Please read the following carefully:
Read about the following argument that was famously posed by Blaise Pascal:
“You cannot be completely certain that Christianity is or is not true. You have to make a bet either way. On the one hand, if Christianity is true and you reject Christ, then you will be faced with eternal damnation. On the other hand, if Christianity isn’t true and you follow Christ’s teaching, then you will have lived a good, moral life, and no harm will have been done. Clearly then, it would be wisest to assume and live as though Christianity is true”.
For this Discussion, reflect on and engage with Pascal’s argument. Be sure to address the following questions along the way:

– Do you agree that a person cannot be “certain” whether Christianity is true or not? Why or why not?
– Does someone “have to make a bet” in this scenario? Could someone just refuse to make a bet? Why or why not?

– What do you think of this argumentative strategy overall?
– Does it appeal to you in any way?
– Does it bother you in any way? How and/or why?
Refer to the attached rubric and cite all sources, including argument, in APA format.

Assignmen: Memoirs

Assignment: Memoirs
Austrian heir to the throne assassinated!
Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia!
Britain declares war on Germany!
The news is getting worse!
Imagine you are a citizen of a country that has just entered into the Great War (later known as World War I). You have read the headlines and the accounts of the events leading up to the war. Your neighbors and family members give you regular updates. You are bombarded with news. Yet, you feel there is a gap in the reportingwhere the news accounts end and the story of the real war begins.
This week for your assignment, you will write your own account of the war, and tell the truth of the war from your perspective. Your fictional memoir will tell the story of everyday people, and how war has affected daily life.
To prepare for this Assignment:
Choose a country from which to write your memoir. Select one that entered into World War I in 1914 and that you have studied extensively in this course.
Review the Howard, Lukacs, and Mulligan readings in this week’s Resources to gain a bird’s eye perspective on world events leading up to the start of World War I, especially for the country you choose to write your memoir based on.You may also wish to explore this weeks Optional Resources for additional insights into how the war impacted civilian life.
Consider how your chosen country has changed between the Era of Imperialism and the beginning of World War I.
Consider what political, social, geographical, and economic changes have occurred since the start of the war, and how you, your family and your community have been affected (supposing you lived in this country, at this time in history).
Reflect on how nationalism has influenced your response to entry into war, and the response of your compatriots (again, supposing you lived in this country, at this time in history).
The assignment:
Compose a 2- to 3-page memoir entry in which you do the following:
Provide an in-depth personal account of the events you have witnessed leading up to the beginning of the war. In your description, be sure to reflect on the effect that political, social, geographical, and economic changes have had on you in the time leading up to the war, and up to the time of your writing (mid to late 1914).
Support your assertions by making at least 2 references to your course readings.

Psychology about Piaget’s stages

Then, complete the following questions. Do not copy the Discussion board questions on your answer, but do number your answers and present your answers in order.
1. Summarize the NYT article in a sentence or two, and then discuss which part of the article struck you most and why.
2. Do a little research on Piaget’s stages, and give a link to a website you find helpful in understanding the concepts of Piaget’s stage of Preoperational Thinking.
3. Give a thoughtful and detailed answer to this prompt: “Explain why you think the Piaget principle of conservation, transformation, or egocentrism best relates to the question of whether a child younger than 7 should be charged with a crime. To do this, you will need to define the principle and explain how you think it applies to the question of whether a child younger than 7 can be held legally responsible for a crime.”
4. Conclude with a brief analysis of why an understanding of human growth and development is necessary for a fair and humane legal system.
Your initial post should be at least 300 words. Just number your answers. All posts must be grammatical and use proper spelling and punctuationtextspeak like i and u will automatically lose 5 points for your work for the week, so please make sure that you are writing in proper academic English, not textspeak.
