Choose a finance topic that is interesting to you

This discussion will get you started on a future research project:
Here are the steps to follow:

1.Choose a finance topic of particular interest to you or of particular relevance to your work or career goals.

2. Using an Internet search engine such as Google (www.google.com)

3. In Discussion: post a short project proposal in which you identify the topic of your research paper, your reasons for choosing this topic, and the 3 online resources or types of resources you intend to use (only 3 three resources).
Research Tips
A lot of information is available on the World Wide Web, but, as you probably have already discovered, not everything you find and read on the web is accurate, reputable, and reliable. In searching the web for information, you must exercise discrimination. Use this proposal stage of the research topic to identify possible sources of information and to receive feedback from your mentor and classmates on the reputability of the sources you identify.
This is a basic requirement of research writing, to make sure that you give proper credit to your sources of information and do not pass off someone else’s work as your own, intentionally or unintentionally. Failure to use proper documentation is considered plagiarism, a serious breach of academic honesty.

Describe the events that take place during an action potential. What are the three phases of the action potential? Include all ion movements and polarity changes that take place during the various phases of the action potential.

Action potentials occur in response to graded potentials that reach threshold. They are necessary for the communication of information to, from, and within the brain. Your ability to read this page and to understand its message, to laugh and cry, to think and feel, to see and hear, and to move your muscles, depends on action potentials.

Assignment Instructions

Please include BOTH of the following in your discussion post this week.

You must use evidence from both books or your paper will not pass.
These are reading response essays, not research papers. There should be no other source material beyond Brinkley’s Unfinished Nation and the articles from American Perspectives; do not summarize content you have read on the internet.

“Disabled or Different”

PROMPT:
In 1991 the American with Disabilities Act was implemented across the United States. Deaf individuals do not consider themselves disabled; however, they benefit from legislations created to end discrimination against disabled people. Discuss in detail how these conflicting beliefs can lead to feelings of empowerment and equality among the American Deaf community, while at the same time further imbed within mainstream society attitudes of paternalism and audism towards the American Deaf community?
PURPOSE:
To apply information into an analysis of how one can be ethical responsible in their understanding and interactions with Deaf who are seen as both disabled and different.
Write a 4 page (approximately 1,000 words) MLA style research paper.
In your paper you should talk about each of the following issues as you try to explain how being labeled disabled is both a good thing and a bad thing for the Deaf community:
What the ADA is?
How the American Deaf community benefits from the ADA?
Explain empowerment as it applies to the American Deaf Community.
Explain “audism” and how it affects Deaf.
Explain the conflicts that arise within the American Deaf Community of being seen as both a distinct culture/a linguistic minority and a disabled group.
Also,
Drawing a map of your ideas is helpful in many ways.
First, people often find that seeing a visual representation of their thoughts helps them to add more ideas and sort through them.
Also, Please draw an idea map and submit it as separate document. Drawing a map might help you see how your thoughts connect to one another, which will help you when you begin organizing your essay.
In the center of the map, write your topic and draw a circle around it.
When you come up with a new idea, write it down, draw a circle around it, and draw a line to show how it connects to the topic in the center and/or the other ideas youve written down.
Look at the main ideas youve written and see if you can think of other ideas that connect to them.
Remember that it is okayactually, it is greatif you have many ideas right now.
You wont necessarily use all of them in your essay, but all that’s important is to collect many ideas right now.
The “idea map” that I uploaded in the files section uses a sample essay topic to show you what yours might look like.
