What does Johns tell us about discourse communities (how they function, how people become members, what their purposes are, etc.)?
In what ways does Mirabellis text serve to complicate her discussion of discourse communities?
To address this prompt, youll need to thoroughly analyze your chosen texts and have a solid understanding of the main claims being made by both.
Present your answer as an argument, using specific evidence from both texts to support your ideas.

1.Write a short open-ended essay on the misinformation you have been exposed to, if you have seen it disproven, and how you avoid being distracted by scientific falsity. Your perspective on how you think this pandemic has been handled in the age of social media and alternative facts, and how it changed for better or worse in January with the change in Federal Government (ie Biden vs. Trump Administration).

2.What have you been wondering about the COVID pandemic? What is that one thing (or several) that you have been confused about that you would like to learn? Give some context, and tell me what you have done on your own to try and answer this question.

For Stage 2 of your paper, you will address what archetypal roles are present in the myth you chose in Stage 1 and identify the elements of nonmaterial culture you think are addressed by the myth. List the major characters in the myth and match them to their archetypal roles. You should have at least 3.

Rosenfelds Requiem: The Triangle Fire Victims in Verse
On March 25, 1911, a fire broke out at the Triangle Shirtwaist company in New York City. Trapped by blocked exit doors and faulty fire escapes, more than 146 workers, mostly young immigrant women, perished in the flames or jumped ten stories to their deaths. One of the worst industrial fires in U.S. history, the Triangle fire became a galvanizing symbol of industrial capitalisms excesses and the pressing need for reform. In its aftermath, a coalition of middle-class reformers and working people secured passage of landmark occupational health and safety laws. For Jewish and Italian immigrant communities of the Lower East Side, the fire was especially tragic. Poet Morris Rosenfeld, known as the poet laureate of the slum and the sweatshop, penned this memorial to the victims four days after the fire. The Jewish Daily Forward printed the poem down the full length of its front page.
Neither battle nor fiendish pogrom
Fills this great city with sorrow;
Nor does the earth shudder or lightning rend the heavens,
No clouds darken, no cannons roar shatters the air.
Only hells fire engulfs these slave stalls
And Mammon devours our sons and daughters.

Theology of Worship Paper Instructions
Identify 25 important theological tenets which form the foundation of your Theology of Worship and write them in a principle-explanation-Scripture format. The key emphasis of this paper must be the theological implications of worship. Each principle must be developed within the context of biblical worship. To state a theological principle and describe it is not enough. You must relate the principle to biblical worship in the broader sense and explain the implications of each principle related to worship. Remember that worship is not just limited to the action of the corporate assembly, but also encompasses the total life of the believer.
