You are to examine data elements in a data dictionary. Explain how you would create a data dictionary. You can select a specific data element and apply it to the data dictionary. For example, you may look at patient demographic data. Review the resources above to assist you. You must have at least two references. Submit your assignment here.

Consider the following scenario and submit a Word document answering the questions.
A 19 year old male who is currently an undergraduate college student at Brown University presents to you, the on call nurse practitioner of the University infirmary, the night before an important organic chemistry exam. He states that approximately 4 days ago, he had attended an informational meeting for the campus Theater Club; he notes that while at this meeting, he encountered a girl who he describes had been hacking at her lungs and coughing up large amounts of whitish, thick sputum (mucus). He noted that not even 6 hours after the meeting, he began to experience some significant chest tightness, and the following morning, he began to cough up significant mucus. He also noted that around day 3 after the meeting, he experienced subjective chills, stating that he felt as if he would go from hot to cold.
He took his temperature prior to coming to you and notes that it was 99.3 degrees Fahrenheit. You take his vital signs, which indicate a mild level of tachycardia (increased heart rate) at 104 beats/minute, tachypnea (increased respiratory rate) at 22 breaths/minute, and a temperature of 100.3 degrees Fahrenheit. You auscultate his chest with a stethoscope and hear mild wheezing and crackles but, otherwise, no significant finding which would indicate serious pathology such as pneumonia. He otherwise appears to be very healthy.
He notes that he has had similar events happen in his hometown of Tacoma, Washington, for which he was given a bubble gum flavored medicine called Amoxicillin, an antibacterial antibiotic. He is eager to take this again if at all possible before his exam!
You decide to perform labs on the young man, and his labs are fairly normal (with the exception of a mildly elevated white blood cell count). Bacterial cultures and testing are negative for bacterial infections.
Please answer the following questions pertaining to this case:
As his health care provider, what would you consider to be the most likely diagnosis? Given the timing and onset of his symptoms, would this most likely be considered a bacterial, viral, or fungal infection?
Given your answer in 1, would you give him the bubble gum-flavored medicine? Why or why not?
Given the timing of his symptoms, what components of the immune system are most highly active at the time in which he presented to you?
If he is re-infected with the same infection again, how will his immune system respond?

Online discussions pose an opportunity for rich and meaningful student learning and interaction. Online discussions extend classroom learning by providing an asynchronous method of communication for the exchange of meaningful ideas that promote critical thinking and develop thoughtful reflective learning. All students are expected to participate in each weekly discussion. These forums will be grounded in durable or critical thinking utilizing case studies, problem/solution scenarios or other appropriate assignments.

The questions posed in the discussion board/forum are generally related to a major topic examined in the assigned readings. All students are expected to participate in each weekly discussion. These forums will be grounded in critical thinking. Students are expected to participate, so please be on time with your postings. You can post your answer and responses at any time prior to the stated deadlines. Since discussions require class interaction, no credit will be given if the post is not submitted in the week due. Although you can use other sources to answer the discussion topics and essays, you are also required to include information from the weeks readings.
Consider the following when you post: The last day to complete most assignments including the discussion forum is Sunday by 23:55 or 11:55 PM ET.

For my class which is Politics in the Middle East, we have to do an Arab-Israeli conflict simulation in the future, so this paper should help prepare for the simulation. In the simulation we are assigned to represent a certain group either in Palestine or Israel and then we are supposed to have discussions and we should base our answers on the group we were assigned with. In my case its Palestinian negotiating group Hamas.
Write a paper 4-5 pages that investigates and presents the opinions and policy perspectives of the party Hamas that you represent. What does your party Hamas think about a two state solution? A one state solution? Settlements and their dismantlement? Land swaps? The use of 1967 borders as a starting point for negotiations? Recognition of Israel (as a Jewish state)? In your paper grapple with these questions and fully engage with your party and its perspective on the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict.

Instructions
Within INTL 508 you are required to design a line of research for your Case Study around a topic/event that is relevant to this course. Throughout this project, you will use the concepts discussed within this course in your case study. However, don’t be constrained with these 8 weekly topic areas.

Week 2 – Assignment 1 (HW1): Research Proposal (4-5 pages in length – NOT MORE) – worth 20% of your course grade
Let’s get into the specifics of this requirement:
Assignment 1: Research Proposal
The goal of your first assignment is to present a clear research project and should be between 5-6 pages (but not more) in length not including a title page, your preliminary literature review, and references (of the sources you cite within your proposal). HW1 must be submitted as a Word Document Attachment in the Assignments section of the classroom by Sunday, 11:55pm EST at the end of week 2.
Assignment Formatting: your assignments should follow the conventions of graduate-level writing. This includes having 1-inch margins on all four sides, being double-spaced without an extra space in between paragraphs, using 12 point Times New Roman font, as well as being grammatically free and stylistically free of errors. You should be using the Turabian writing style for this assignment as well as all others within this course.
In this assignment you will need to:
1) Present the research problem you intend to assess and provide some contextual information that helps demonstrate your understanding of the nature of the problem.
2) Clearly state your SINGLE academically rich research question and hypothesis.
3) The purpose and importance of your research should be made clear. Explain why this is important to investigate as a research project. What can we learn from this event? How will the knowledge we gain through your research help our understanding of the topic?
4) Conduct a preliminary literature review. You should discuss enough literature to explain the current state of research on your topic and to identify a gap in that literature that warrants your research.
5) Discuss your theoretical framework and then your research design that you plan to use to answer your research question. This should be done in a language common to the social sciences. Here’s a hint as a case study you should be discussing how you plan to carry out case study research. Within this discussion, the references you used to support your comments should reflect your knowledge of case study methodology, and content analysis including specifics on the application of qualitative or quantitative research.
The research proposal that you submit for this class is similar in style to what you would submit as a research proposal for your master’s thesis. The specific format to be followed has the following parts.
These include:
Title and Abstract: Your title should be descriptive enough that it helps readers understand what your research is about. Your abstract should stage for the research topic, explain the method in use, and mention important implications of the study. The abstract should be between 150-250 words in length.
Introduction: Identifies student’s a specific research question and sets the general context for the study.
This section should include:
a statement of the problem or general research question and context leading to a SINGLE clear statement of the specific research question;
background and contextual material justifying why this case or topic should be studied; and
a purpose statement and hypothesis
Literature Review: Reviews the literature on a specific research question. The literature review focuses on discussing how other researchers have addressed the same or similar research questions. It introduces the study and places it in a larger context that includes a discussion of why it is important to study this case. It provides the current state of accumulated knowledge as it relates to the student’s specific research question.
Summarize the general state of the literature (cumulative knowledge base) on the specific research question.
Include a short conclusion and transition to the next section.
Theoretical Framework/Approach: The theoretical framework section develops the theories or models to be used in the study and shows how the student has developed testable research hypotheses.
This section should include
an introduction discussing gaps in the literature, how this study will help fill some of those gaps, and justification for the theory or model to be used in study;
a summary of the theory or model to be used in the study, including a diagram of the model if appropriate
Research Design/Methodology: Describes how the student will test the hypothesis and carry out his/her analysis. This section describes the data to be used to test the hypothesis, how the student will operationalize and collect data on his/her variables, and the analytic methods that will be used, noting potential biases and limitations to the research approach.
Conclusion: this should be a concluding statement that reiterates the importance of the research question and why it should be carried out.
References: as always you need to have a reference list that lists the sources you used within your research proposal in a professional manner. The references list is often what is used to gauge how well researched a project is. On this list, we will be able to see if scholarly sources are being consulted or simply just news articles and magazine articles of lesser caliber. You should take pride in this list and show off your hard work in developing your research proposal.
Ultimately a research proposal is a pitch to someone about a project that you have confidence can be carried out in the manner specified. Research proposals are often done in professional settings in order to gain a bid on resources such as grant money or another financial backing. For this reason, the information conveyed must not only articulate you have found a clear research gap or problem that has yet to be adequately addressed, but that you have the capacity to complete the project as specified given the current time available.

Georges Mliss A Voyage to the Moon (1902) and Edwin S. Porters Great Train Robbery (1903) were two early films that greatly influenced future filmmakers.
Choosing one of these two films, please write an essay explaining the directors style and his innovative uses of mise-en-scne, cinematography, and editing. Determine the most important real-world issue(s) in your novel and find 2 reliable sources (magazines, newspaper articles, scholarly journals, reliable websites). Create a paragraph response that includes the following information:
Summarize: What are the main arguments? What is the point of this article? What topics are covered? If someone asked what this article is about, what would you say?
Assess: After summarizing a source, evaluate it. Is it useful? Is the information reliable? Is this source biased or objective? What is the goal of this source?
