This post should be substantial (containing at least 200-250 words).

Most, if not all, religions have some spaces that they consider sacred in some way. From the perspective of someone in a religion, what makes a space sacred will likely be linked to beliefs in the presence of some divine being either being present in that space or having been present there in the past. From an outsider, academic perspective, though, spaces are sacred because the members of a religion treat that space differently than they treat other spaces. They do not treat that space differently because it is inherently sacred; the space is sacred because they treat it differently.
Based on your understanding of Jewish history and the video about Jerusalem, explain what makes Jerusalem a sacred city to Jews and other religions (either Christianity or Islam). Why is this city so important to them? How do they treat the city, or specific parts of the city, as sacred space?
Does a sacred place need to be a physical location, and does it need to exist in a religious context, or can it be a space that is deeply important and special? Do you have a sacred place and, if so, how do you treat it differently than other spaces?

The thesis, position, or purpose is coherently and cohesively advanced throughout. The progression of ideas is coherent and unified. A convincing and unambiguous conclusion aligns to the development of the purpose.

Summary Statement expertly describes whether or not the client met the goals of the treatment plan, what contributed to the success of the treatment plan or lack thereof, what language you would use to communicate the outcome to the client, and how you would document the final session, and description is comprehensive and insightful with relevant evidence to support claims.

Comprehensive and compelling evidence is included. Multiple other perspectives are integrated effectively.

No errors in formatting or documentation are present. Selectivity in the use of direct quotations and synthesis of sources is demonstrated.

The EPP will answer two questions: A. What are the three most important features
of entrepreneurship to me? and B. What are three ways that redemptive entrepreneurship can be used to help
others less fortunate than me?

The second paper will provide an opportunity to revisit those basic/core tenets from a more informed
position. While in most cases it is not necessary to write an entirely new paper from scratch, the second EPP
should be significantly revised based on your expanded learning over the course of the semester. These position
papers are highly editorial in content yet must include significant citations drawn from the various readings and
class lectures. Each paper, if properly done, should be approximately four pages in length, single-spaced, 12-
point font. Please don’t include “fluff” in your writings to lengthen the paper. Make them succinct, cited, and
detailed.

【Quoting style #1 is needed】is the style that is most commonly used and allows you to avoid brackets and changing the author’s words. It’s the style you should use most often.When using this style, you explain the author’s point, add a quote for proof, then add explanation or explain the quote’s significance.This is called framing or sandwiching a quote. There are three parts. Explain + quote + significance or explanation.
Example:
Gladwell argues that Facebook activism lacks sacrifice. He asserts, “Facebook activism
succeeds not by motivating people to make a real sacrifice by motivating them to do things
that people do when they aren’t motivated”(44). In other words, he believes in the value of
face to face activism.
The author believes networks do not last because they lack hierarchy. He argues, “The
drawbacks of networks scarcely matter if the network isn’t interested in systemic
change…But if you’re taking on a powerful and organized establishment you have to be a
hierarchy” (43). He further states that networks are highly problematic.

Definition

Write an essay that defines an abstract term from the choices below. Your goal is to create an interesting, well-rounded definition that offers your specific, personal viewpoint on the term.

Do what you need to make the definition interesting.

Possible key strategies to include in your essays are listed below. You can create single paragraphs around the components and/or combine components to create your paragraphs.

You should only use strategies you think are interesting. For example, if the denotation of your word is something the reader would already know or is not interesting, do not use it.

You will need to argue a point about your term. Make sure the reader understands your position and your view on the word.

Research

Outside research is required to pass the essay. However, this is NOT a research paper. Use statistics, quotes from credible authors, etc. to develop your definition. You can use any quotes or information from the assigned readings or the posted videos if you choose the same term. You need two credible sources. You can use etymology, but it does not count as one of required sources. Keep the research to a minimum as with the examples you’ve read.
Summary and Quotes

To earn a A or higher You should offer a minimum of 3 – 5 quotes and at least one moment of summary. That is, you need to prove that you know how to summarize information and/or an author.

Key Components and Strategies

Think of your readings, both the published essays and student essays, as examples of what you’re aiming for.

Consider the following components, plus anything helpful from your book. Only use what you think is interesting.

You are not required to use every strategy that is listed below. It’s your definition so do what you must to create an informative, interesting definition that offers a clear point of view.

History –when did the word come into the English lexicon? How has its use changed over time?

Interesting definition from the urban dictionary or some other source that offers a new take on the definition. As stated in the book, avoid regular definitions.

Exemplification – examples, illustrations, description. Avoid abstract terms to describe abstract terms, as noted in the book. Use concrete details and examples.

Media – Is your term used in music, film or books?

Personal example and commentary

Society—how does society define the term? How do you define it?

Research—Make sure to inform the reader in one way or another. You should also consider quotes from authors. You can use your book as well. You need two outside sources. They must be credible sources. Etymology does not count. You can use quotes from the essays you’ve been assigned if using the same term.

Generating Ideas
1. Use other words associated with the term to build on the definition. You will probably need to use other terms /words when defining your word. For example, if writing about the word “sissy,” you might have to define cis male. If writing about “slut” you might have to define “bitch.” If writing about feminism, you will probably want to include womanism. Writing about colorism? You will probably want to write about colonialism. Writing about the word “woke”? You might write about activism in the past and present. What’s different? Think outside of the box and make your word your own.
2. Use everything you find interesting and helpful to develop a well-rounded definition that avoids the familiar and cliché.
3. On page 118 of the Writing Logically handout there is a list of strategies to use when writing your essay. Use everything you want to make an interesting essay.
4. Use a book instead of relying on articles. There are books on shame, the N word, White Fragility, etc.
5. Along with everything listed in excerpted handout, you can also explore how society, or the general populace defines the term versus how you define the term.
6. You might look at history and explore how the term has changed over time.
7. Does the term show up in music or pop culture? How so?
8. As noted in the handout, it can be helpful to look up the etymology of the term. You can find etymology by going to etymonline.com
Discovering Your Thesis
Your thesis should come in the introduction—paragraphs one or two, depending. You need to have an opinion about your word. For instance, has the definition of the N word changed over time? Has the connotation of feminism become problematic? Should people stop using the word “bitch”?
As noted in your lectures, your thesis will avoid phrases like “This paper will show the definition of…” Your thesis should blend in with the introduction and read like the thesis statements of the essays you’ve read.
Things to Avoid

Write from first person and avoid “you.” At this level of English, your writing should not include repetitive unnecessary use of “you” and “you.” Avoid starting sentences with “this” as much as possible. “This” is often vague and repetitive.

Avoid, “I believe,” “I think,” “In my opinion,” etc. We know you believe it since you’re writing the essay. One “I believe” or “I think” in the essay should be plenty.
When writing your thesis avoid “This paper will show…”. Your thesis statement should read like the posted examples.

Guidelines and Submissions

Essays should be 3 ½ – 4 pages 1,150 – 1,300. Write more if you need to, but maximum length is roughly 1600 words. The essay needs to be typed, double-spaced. 12pt font. Times Roman or similar.

Transparent and accountable governance and strong leadership are the cornerstones of successful public health operations and delivery of public health services.

Several decades ago, Kotler and Zaltman (1971) first used the term “social marketing” to describe the application of marketing theory to solve social- and health-related issues. Writing Assignment
Assess the major considerations, factors and actions to respond to and recover from this very public and “news-frenzied” outage. The following points should be addressed in an executive summary report based on your analysis of the contributing factors, recommended response actions and mitigation strategies proposed. Your analysis and recommendations should include the following.
1. Objective assessment and risk estimation of the current situation(s) in May through August 2022. What did the outage cost them?
2. An analysis of what happened and key gaps or mistakes that could have mitigated the crises. What was the root problem(s) and misteps?
