Overview
An annotated bibliography is listing of the sources you intend to use in your research project.
Your annotated bibliography should include a brief summary of the Primary sources you intend to use, no more than 50 words per source.
Your annotated bibliography should include a short analysis or critique of the Secondary sources you intend to use, no more than 100 words per source. The sources should be written using the proper MLA bibliographic citation format (please see the previous assignment).
Please be reminded that your initial bibliography was to reflect your final choice of a topic AND the sources you intend to use for your project. If you change any of your sources, please explain briefly (1-2 sentences) why you felt it was a better source than the one you initially identified for each source you switched out. If you change out all of your sources, you will have to make an appointment with me before I finalize your grade.
This is an exercise in critical thinking and is designed to get you to think more deeply about the sources you are using. You may find that the sources that you initially chose were not actually appropriate for your project.
For this assignment you are tasked with revising your bibliography as necessary and then analyzing your sources for your final project. Your sources should be the same as those presented in your initial bibliography. If you changed your sources, please be sure to indicate that you did so. If you changed a number of your sources, please explain at the end of your annotated bibliography why the sources you discarded were no longer relevant to your research.

Annotations:
Read/Review the sources you picked. Determine if they are primary sources or secondary sources. Take notes.
Write 100-150 words about each secondary source. This is your annotation. Your annotations should contain the following information
What is the source about
What are the main arguments of the source
Who is the audience for this source? Academics? Policy makers? General population?
How do you see it being useful to your project
Provide a brief summary and description (no more than 100 words) of any primary sources that you may be using.
Be wary of plagiarism.
Do not cut and paste sentences from your source.
Do not cut and paste from other works that may have discussed your source (i.e. book reviews, YouTube descriptions, etc)
Format
Made necessary corrections to citations as identified in the previous assignment.
Alphabetize your bibliography.
1″ margins all around.
Citations are single spaced, the review/critique/summary can be double spaced.
Indent the annotation (see the example above).
No need to include a header on your paper; you are submitting this electronically.

Please be sure to use page numbers.
Pro-tip – Take your bibliography, copy the citations into a new document. Use that as the foundation for your annotated bibliography so you don’t have to type out the citation again.
