As communities and individuals face new threats of marginalization, discrimination, and violence, the School of Social Work is resolved to uphold its long-standing commitment to core social work values and principles of social justice for all human beings and systems. This presentation is an opportunity for social work students to think critically and differently about diversity, equity, and inclusion and to understand the complex nature of the person-in- environment by considering the dynamics of racism, oppression, privilege, and discrimination. Students will select a marginalized group and present what policies and social interaction impact and address social injustice by challenging the processes of discrimination and oppression which create barriers to inclusion and lead to social exclusion; it seeks to address power imbalances and empower people to develop and connect to networks and services to improve health and well- being. Each student will develop a related presentation for the class (100 points).
1. Your presentation should begin with a brief description of your chosen social topic or social problem. Be sure your topic is something you can easily research to find enough evidence and proof to support your ideas supporting power imbalances. It would be best if you always looked for academically proven and reliable sources you can cite in your presentation. Listing your opinions without using sufficient logical support from outside sources will not be acceptable. Please note that only two-three slides are to be devoted to describing the social issue/problem/concern (20 points)
2. Describe the initiatives and policies focused on addressing structural inequities rooted in systematic mistreatment, exploitation, and abuse of a group (or groups) of people by another group (or groups) and discrimination of your social topic. Please note that only two-three slides are to be devoted to describing the initiatives and policies (40 points)
3. Identify the primary strengths and weakness of community resources, incentives, and oversight for equity addressing your social topic. Please note that only two-three slides are to be devoted to describing the response to the social issue/problem. (30 points)
4. Scholarly presentation documentation and creativity (10 points).

Discuss about practice recommendations and conclusions based on articles.

Explain how human service problems, participants and issues in relation to current local, national, or international events.

Explain how rhetoric is used in the short story bullet in the brain.

Explain how ethnic, racial, and cultural human difference figure into Sara Baartman’s life story?

Choose one current and live sporting event that has identified a number of ideological themes that underlie the media construction of a sport event. Identify some of the themes listed in the powerpoint, and explain how they are included in the event.
Write in the paper what the powerpoint discusses about the type of commentaries offered during the game, commercials, and even what the camera shows/highlights during the game. Be very descriptive as related to the sport selected.

Explain how knowing about the functions of the brain helps professionals guide individuals to construct knowledge, acquire skills, and develop thinking processes in learning environments.

Identify at least four alleged crimes and at least one possible civil action.
Explain how qualified immunity can protect government officials from lawsuits.
Identify the differences between criminal law and civil liabilities.
Cite case law regarding the possible civil action that could be taken against the police officer, the department, and the city.

Discuss the segmentation bases used.
4) Identify and explain specific promotion concerns in your host country as they relate to your industry.
5) Discuss porter’s National Diamond model as it relates to your assigned country: (i) Factor conditions, (ii) Demand conditions, (iii) Related and supporting industries and (iv) Firm strategy, structure and rivalry. Are there new sources of competitive advantage (for your assigned industry/country combination) that have not been covered by Porter’s national diamond. Explain.

2. Select a different intervention strategy than your peer and discuss how this strategy may be used to intervene with the affected people?
