How to Tell A Better Story: Analyzing A Non-Profit Public Service Campaign
Submit your project as a Word document on school site
4 pages
A. Stories matter. How can we tell a better story for the common good? Using what you’ve learned from text readings on attitudes and persuasion (chapter 6) select an appropriate, current non-profit, public service campaign (ad) to analyze, and then choose one component to evaluate for this assignment. You can learn about non-profit campaigns by accessing Ad Council & other links on school site.

B. Critique the campaign component (e.g., a poster, announcement, tv ad) based on information in your text:
1. Describe the strengths and weaknesses of the campaign component.
2. Describe whether the campaign component involves primarily central or
peripheral route persuasion and speculate why they may have taken that route.
3. Evaluate whether the campaign component effectively used the four elements of
persuasion (Myers & Spencer, 2006): communicator, the message, how the
message is conveyed and the audience.
4. Submit an example from the original campaign component (e.g., link to website,
brochure)
5. Redesign the campaign component to make it more effective in creating a more
just, caring, peaceable, healthy and/or safe community:
• Describe the changes you would make
• Provide a rationale/justification for why your redesign more effectively
promotes a more just, caring, healthy and/or safe community. Address the four elements of persuasion in your rationale, as well as other social psychology research.

Design a Play Workshop for Parents from Diverse Backgrounds

Below is feedback based on past writing experiences that I have submitted. I have also attached the rubric and below you will find comments
directly from the teacher regarding the past two writing assignments:

Assignment 1 – was well supported by theory. You referred to 3 separate articles and all of your citations were well-integrated with the exception of one.
Assignment 2 – two articles were cited and used appropriately. However, there were several other connections made to play theory, but not supported by course readings/theory. I will refer to a couple of these –
In Assignment 2, you made some important observations and conclusions regarding A’s play and learning. For example on page 1 you stated –
“Young children may not have a clear understanding of what play is, engaging in it naturally and instinctively.”
This would be well supported by some of the theorists we discussed at the beginning of this term particularly those in Jan. 16-22. In addition, Hendricks (2008) had much to say about our definitions of play.
On pp. 3-4, you stated – ” Play is a way of engaging in activities that are enjoyable and satisfying, providing a break from more serious or challenging tasks but it continues to be a way to explore and learn about the world around us as well express creativity and imagination or socialising with others”.
In this sentence, you clearly identify that play helps with the development of creativity, imagination and social skills. Which play theorists support this? Many of the theories in the readings in Feb. 5-19 discussed these ideas. You need to either quote or paraphrase those that have made similar claims.
On pages 4 and 5 you made other important comments about A’s development, but did not support these with theory – either with direct quotations or paraphrases (and citations).
The only way that I can see the connections you make between your conclusions and the theory is by direct reference to the readings. At a graduate level, you will need many quotes and/or paraphrases to do this.

As far as APA – there are only a few minor issues here.

What is the impact to the class as emerging professionals, within their career management etc.

Part 1: A brief abstract overview of the article, highlighting the “areas for considerations” as outlined above to which they will present said information to the class.

Part 2:
-How/why is this a workplace issue?
– What is the impact to the class as emerging professionals, within their career management etc.
– What do we need to know? (key takeaways for the article)
– Anything we can do to respond or prepare in understanding this concept as part of our professional lives?

As you will recall from the syllabus instructions, a paper is due for our course. For this paper, you will read 4 articles on the “Problem of Evil,” a classic and (perhaps) timeless problem we will talk about in class. All the articles are either available on Canvas, under “Content,” or online (link found below).

As you will recall from the syllabus instructions, a paper is due for our course. For this paper, you will read 4 articles on the “Problem of Evil,” a classic and (perhaps) timeless problem we will talk about in class. All the articles are either available on Canvas, under “Content,” or online (link found below).
THE PROBLEM OF EVIL: VARIOUS PERSPECTIVES
1) “Inductive Argument from Evil” (Available online –
PLEASE READ FROM THE BEGINNING AND STOP READING RIGHT BEFORE YOU GET TO “ 2. NIGHT 2.1 At the Barrister: Round One.” ß Section 2, and after, you do NOT have to read
https://infidels.org/library/modern/bruce_russell/dialogue.html
2) “Wading through Many Sorrows,” (Available online):
http://www.augsburgfortress.org/media/downloads/9780800698966Chapter1.pdf
THE ONLY PAPER YOU SHOULD READ IN THAT PDF STARTS ON PAGE 23.
3) “The Challenge of the Holocaust” (Available on Canvas)
4) “Evil as Evidence of [G-d],” Koukl (Available on Canvas) and at
https://www.str.org/articles/evil-as-evidence-for-god#.W8jO5S6-MzQ
(If you cannot find the online articles, please check Canvas to see if there is a copy there.)
Please read all four articles, and then plan to write your paper in this format:
1)The entire paper must be no more than 13 pages long – but the minimum is 8 full pages long. Points will be deducted if papers are less than 8 full pages (even papers that are 7 and ½ pages long will have points taken away).
Please summarize each article (showing you read carefully) on at least TWO pages per article – EXCEPT FOR THE LAST, SHORT ARTICLE BY KOUKL, which you summarize in ONE full page. There are a lot of ideas in these articles, so please show you carefully read them and can isolate the major arguments. However, please save at least one full page at the end of your paper for YOUR OWN point of view on these articles – after taking all of these ideas in account, please digest them and offer your own perspective on this classic philosophical problem.
To help you visualize how to organize your paper, please follow this basic framework. (Remember, you can write more than this, but this is the MINIMUM.)
PAGES 1 & 2 – SUMMARIZE “INDUCTIVE ARGUMENT…” ARTICLE
PAGES 3 & 4 – SUMMARIZE “WADING THROUGH MANY…” ARTICLE
PAGES 5 & 6 – SUMMARIZE “THE CHALLENGE OF THE HOLO…” ARTICLE
PAGE 7 – SUMMARIZE “EVIL AS EVIDENCE…” ARTICLE
PAGE 8 – YOUR OWN PHILOSOPHY ON THIS ISSUE/PROBLEM
2)Please make it very clear that you studied the articles carefully, or else points will be taken away. Also, please provide reasoned analysis – assume your reader does not share your atheism or religious beliefs.
3)In terms of citations, please use this style: (page number) or (paragraph number) – for the articles without pages listed. For example, “she said ‘we ought to philosophize’” (42), or “evil is really unrevealed good in the eyes of the Divine” (paragraph 15). As long as I know where it is coming from, then you will be fine. Always give credit to your sources, and please do not do anything remotely resembling plagiarism (including having others write your paper for you), since it cheats you out of an honest education and can risk your academic career with serious repercussions.
4)Please use the following specifications for your paper: font size 12, one inch margins all around, double spaced, times new roman font, no excess spacing, avoid using all bold, and double check for spelling and grammar problems. Please do not list the course name, the professor’s name, etc. All you need is your full name on the very top line of your page 1, and then you can go into the material on the very next line (or on the same line). No transitions are necessary between pages. To get full credit, please be sure to follow all of these conditions.

Writing Process

Read the essay attatched. Choose a particular creative person/writer or a particular writing strategy/style, and research it.

Your final research paper will require five sources. Three of those sources need to be from the EFSC databases. From the databases you need to have one scholarly source, one current (last 10 years) newspaper or magazine source, and one multimedia (nonprint) source. These are the same sources you will use in your presentation.

Your Working bibliography should be in MLA format and include the following for each of your THREE database sources:

1. MLA citation

2. Paragraph of summary/introduction (Template 1)

3. Paragraph of citation/support (Template 2)

If you are counting paragraphs – that is two paragraphs for each source, for a total of six paragraphs.

Your plan on how the hotel business will achieve the marketing goals should via online channels (e.g., digital advertising, social media, etc.).
