Supply chain strategy and processes

Summative assessment
There will be one summative assessment which involves a comprehensive analysis of any operations performance objectives either a) cost, b) dependability, c) flexibility, d) speed, e) quality of a company (of your choice). Only focus on one of these objectives. Compare the chosen company’s performance with the one of a competitors. This is an individual report and should be 3,000 words (10% tolerance) excluding references, tables, figures, and appendix, and to be submitted via Moodle Turnitin.

SELECTED COMPANY IS CATERPILAR

Poster Presentation

Task:
– you must create a 1500 word PowerPoint including visual materials.
– you must write a 2000 word script separately – describing everything that happens in each slide.

The PowerPoint presentation:
– The PowerPoint should engage critically and creatively.

– You MUST closely analyse – “Grenfell Tower, June 2017” by Ben Okri (please see attached)
– you MUST have critical engagement with the book – After Grenfell: violence, resistance and response (please see attached)
– you MUST also have critical engagement with the film Grenfell by Steve McQueen
– you MUST also add your own poetic response to a place
– you MUST include visual material that illustrates your written response (eg, maps, photographs, hand drawn images, experimental layouts such as collage)

Script:
– your script should offer a verbal reflection on the process of making your PowerPoint presentation. This might include –
– your personal experiences of engaging with Theo rival, literacy and artistic responses to place and space.
– how the presentation had changed the way you understood and relate to place and space.
– why you chosen the primary materials for your poster presentation
– why you shove the visual materials to illustrate your poster presentation

You do not need to worry about referencing.

Develop Analytical Recommendations that Drive Innovation based on Policy

Develop Analytical Recommendations that Drive Innovation based on Policy.

As a leading consultant, you have been tasked to identify, evaluate, and analyze policies in your country that can be both exploited and act as drivers of and for disruption.

Your analysis should consider the macro-dynamics, leading to interconnected and dependent industries and firms. It must be noted that policies are not independent; therefore, selecting a specific policy for your analysis should be part of your initial consideration.

In the absence of relevant policies to support and drive disruption, students can propose new policies. To achieve the above, must produce a 3000-word report.

Kindly note that a conceptual map is appriciated if incorporated. The use of transformational maps is encouraged.

Ensure that your analysis is contextualized—for example, by referring to the primary drivers of economic development in your country— Economic outlook? What factors were driving economic growth and development at the time? How can transformative technologies and businesses be created? Exploiting new avenues for economic growth?

Disruption through innovation or technology has the potential to drive economic growth. Examine how specific sectors innovate and how this contributes to economic development. What role does policy play in fostering disruptive innovation in an economy?

Do any country that is best to find information and policies on. Choice is yours.

Attached below is the rubric. Feel free to reach out for any questions at any given time.

Compare two cultures and annotate 2 sources

Compare the following two:

Khasi culture as depicted in “Meghalaya, India: Where Women Rule and Men Are Suffragettes” and Afghani culture as depicted in “Afghan Boys Are Prized, So Girls Live the Part”.

How are the cultures similar and/or different in terms of gender roles? Use specific examples from the texts to show the similarities or differences. Cite both quotes and paraphrases in MLA format.
You must include a works cited page.

Afterwards, you will annotate two sources you used for the comparison of both articles. One of those sources should be the article read ( Khasi culture as depicted in “Meghalaya, India: Where Women Rule and Men Are Suffragettes” and Afghani culture as depicted in “Afghan Boys Are Prized, So Girls Live the Part”.) The other source should be something you find doing your own research that you can potentially use in the essay.

For each source, you must write a:

1. Summary

2. Assessment

3. Reflection

“Araby” by James Joyce and “What We Talk About When We Talk About Love” by Raymond Carve

Using two readings, focus the paper on a single element or aspect of the texts, through which you should develop a
clear and significant thesis. This element might be , for instance, a theme , an idea, a metaphor, a symbol use of settings or any other aspect. Relate one text to another. you might examine your idea in light of similarities in the texts , the differences, or you could consider both points of contact and points of departure.
also
– Use two outside sources of literaray criticism or academic theory. This sources should be clearly incorporated into the paper and be cited on the Works Cited page.

Carbon-14 is a radioactive element with a half-life of about 5,730 years. Carbon-14 is said to decay exponentially. The decay rate is 0.000121. We start with one gram of carbon-14. We are interested in the time (years) it takes to decay carbon-14 .

The distribution for X is…

According to a study by Dr. John McDougall of his live-in weight loss program at St. Helena Hospital, the people who follow his program lose between six and 15 pounds a month until they approach trim body weight. Let’s suppose that the weight loss is uniformly distributed. We are interested in the weight loss of a randomly selected individual following the program for one month.

a. Define the random variable. X =______

b. X ~______

c. Graph the probability distribution.

d. f(x) = ______

e. m =______

f. s =______

g. Find the probability that the individual lost more than ten pounds in a month.

h. Suppose it is known that the individual lost more than ten pounds in a month. Find the probability that he lost less than 12 pounds in the month.

i. P(7 < x < 13|x > 9) =______. State this in a probability question, similar to parts g and h, draw the picture, and find the probability.
