Food Insecurity: Who is most affected by it?

The paper itself will explain the issue of food insecurity, analyze the various views and theories
regarding the issue, explain why and how it is a social justice matter, offer proposals for resolving
the issue, discuss the obstacles to resolving it, and relate the issue to the course materials. Since this is a semester-long project, use a variety of academically-sound sources (which I will provide) and the paper should be an extensive treatment of the subject

I will provide an outline for reference you dont need to use it but PLEASE use Sources given

Also please add about how this topic relates to either John Rawls,John C. Hasanyi or
William Arugument for free market.

• Executive Summary: You must include a brief executive summary (preferably one paragraph) in your papers. Your executive summary should be short, simple, and to the point. It should briefly summarize the problem, the recommended policy alternative, and the basis for the recommended policy alternative.
• Analysis of the Problem: You should explain the problem and its causes here. It would be best if you mentioned who is impacted by the situation, how it developed over time, and how it might change.
• Review of Current Legislation, Policies, and Programs: You need to summarize the current legislation, policies, and programs undertaken by the government (especially at the governmental level you are focusing on), highlighting their strengths and weaknesses.
• Policy Goals: Policy goals are also the evaluative criteria. In this section, you should explain your evaluative criteria (no more than 4) and their impact categories.
• Alternatives: You should provide details on your alternatives (no more than 4), including information on which government agency/division should implement that particular alternative.
• Comparison of the Alternatives: You should compare the outcomes of your alternatives based on the criteria and impact categories you selected.
• Evaluation and Recommendation: You should present your Criteria Alternatives Matrix (CAM) and mention your final recommendation to deal with the problem here.
You can talk about your data collection activities (e.g., interviews, surveys) either in a separate section or when they are relevant (e.g., if one of your interviewees was helpful in terms of your understanding of the problem the better, you can mention that interview in the problem background section).

The Colonel

Carolyn Forché, “The Colonel,” pages 981 in Legacies

Forché’s piece is a prose-poem, a kind of hybrid, as the name suggests, between poetry and prose. We’ve not really talked about poetry yet, so rather than any technical questions, I’ll just ask for your responses to the piece. What did you notice? What do you have questions about?

Note: It helps to know (for context), that the poem and the book it comes from treat El Salvador during a time of revolution. The government there, backed by the U.S., was fighting a Communist insurrection. However, the government was corrupt and deadly to its own people “disappearing” people by the thousands, many students like you who ended up tortured in prisons and often buried in mass graves. The movie Salvador treats the subject.

Is Hartley in some ways an example of what Milosz discusses in the previous essay? What are Hartley’s apparent strengths and weaknesses? What did you respond to in this essay and why?

What are the mitigation activities that can be used to reduce retaliatory behavior in the workplace?

See attached course project instructions. Included are the course overview and the Week 5 instructions. Week 5 is what’s due. The couse is Leadership and Organizational Behavior.
*I would like to use my company (UPS) and something along the lines of preventing workpalce violence when delivering bad new. For example like a termination or layoff.
*Or, something about hostile relations between the union and the company. With upcoming negotiations on a new contract, I thought that would be interesting.

I have also attached the week 2 assignent that I turned in. The feedback that I was given was: Good overview of the organization. The problem needs to be an Organizational Behavior or Leadership problem. It isn’t at this point. See the Announcements about possible topics.
Also need a problem stated in the form of a question to research and explore.

rape victims and the affect on future romantic relationships

Each PowerPoint presentation should have between 8 and 12 slides, and it must include 15 minutes of you speaking. Structurally, your PowerPoint presentation should begin with a report overview of your topic and connect it to the main policy goal (or problem) of the research project. Following this, you will need to synthesize the research that favors or disfavors the policies, strategies, or practices related to your topic. Based on this research review, you should conclude with a recommendation for policymakers and criminal justice agents to implement (including addressing common concerns that they will have, such as cost and public support). You are doing a mock policymaking presentation, so remember who your audience is as you create your slides and presentation notes. Oral presentations are graded according to a rubric, which is included in Canvas and at the end of this syllabus (see below for the instructions on how to create your PowerPoint slides with video & audio).
