This week’s project is a case study known as Ayaka’s Story. Ayaka’s Story was written and published by Tan Huynh, teacher, researcher, author, and blogger. Tan has degrees in sociology and Spanish as well as a M.A.Ed specializing in language acquisition. He published this case study as part of WIDA’s Essential Actions for Teacher Collaboration in 2017. I hope you will find the case and article relevant to what you do in the ESL classroom.
The case study places you, the reader, as an observant of what mainstream teachers and ESL teachers might accomplish through collaboration with a focus on making input comprehensible for English Learners.
