Draw up an essay plan then write an essay

Draw up an essay plan, and then write an essay, based on that plan, addressing the following:
Describe the ways in which contemporary development in the Amazon basin is causing damage to the environment and the ways in which the state, the market and civil society are acting to mitigate this.
Marks will be allocated as follows:
10 marks for the essay plan
60 marks for the essay written on the basis of the plan.
(Your essay has a word limit of 1200 words. The word count applies only to the essay and does not include the essay plan. Include a word count at the end of your essay. One mark will be deducted if you do not include the word count.)

The question asks you to describe the ways in which contemporary development in the Amazon basin is causing environmental damage and to describe some of the ways in which the state, the market and civil society are trying to mitigate it. You should make explicit whether the actions are being taken by state/s, the market or civil society.

Information that needs to be covered:
Provides evidence of the variety of life supported by the ecosystems in the Amazon basin, the importance of the Amazon’s forest in supporting biodiversity and the local and global significance of this.
Look at the significance of the Amazon for Indigenous communities and the benefits of more traditional and sustainable systems.

ESSAY PLAN
Title. All essays must start with a title. It is acceptable to either give the essay question/statement as a title, or to give your own title, provided that the title clearly and objectively states what the essay is about, based on the question asked.

Introduction. This is usually just one paragraph that sets the scene and acts as a signpost to the reader as to how your answer will develop. It should provide important background information and inform the reader how the essay will address the question. You should give definitions of any key terms you will use either in the introduction or the beginning of the main body. You should aim for the introduction to take up roughly 10% of your word count; here, about 120 words.

Main body. This is the bulk of your essay, where you will fulfil the basic requirements of the question. For a 1200-word essay, it will probably be between four and eight paragraphs and about 80% of your word count – about 960 words. You need to ensure that each paragraph covers a distinct and significant point that is supported by evidence, while also linking with the paragraphs before and after it.

Conclusion. This should be one paragraph where you summarise your essay and, most importantly, gather the main points that you have made to give a direct response to the question posed or statement to be discussed. The conclusion is not the place to introduce new information or ideas.

Then writr out the essay

Report on footwear manufacturing

Research Report
Context
For this project, you will take on the role of a new employee of ASU’s Career and Professional Development
Services. In this role you are supporting the W.P. Carey School of Business Internship fair for this semester. You
will research and write a report that provides information for students attending the fair. Your report will focus
on a specific industry, and a representative company from that industry that will be attending the fair. You will
provide information about industry trends and company culture, and explain the relevance of that information
for your audience.
The Assignment
To get started, you will select a specific industry that you have interest in. You should be able to define that
industry by describing the kinds of economic activities it engages in (products or services produced) and by
providing examples of multiple extant companies that operate in that industry. For instance, if I wanted to
write about “the meat substitute industry” I could say that it’s an industry that produces products, sold at
grocery stores and sometimes in restaurants, that provide plant-based protein in meals. These usually strive to
replicate the taste and texture of meats. Example companies include Beyond Meat, MorningStar Farms, and
Quorn. You’ll eventually narrow your focus to a single company, but start with a few possibilities.
Note: The industry you select for the Report will form the basis of work you do in the Proposal Project. So think
carefully about the brand you choose. You will be working with these ideas for the remainder of the semester.
Research
You have access to an excellent resource in your efforts to understand this industry: Arizona State University’s
library database. You will use that database to develop expertise on your chosen topic. Your final report will
include a minimum of three secondary sources, at least two of which must be drawn from these databases.
You will then do primary research on this company by examining their websites and one social media presence
they use. For example, for the topic of “meat substitute industry” I could examine Beyond Meat’s mission
statement and press releases on their website. I could also check their Twitter page, where I find video
interviews with Beyond Meat’s CEO.
An alternative form for primary research would be an interview with someone who works at this company (or at
least in this industry). You may perform an interview (rather than social media research) if you have access to an
interview participant.
Across the secondary and primary research, your goal is to understand what it means to work in this industry.
Because your audience is diverse college students, you are not addressing specific job types (i.e. marketing), but
you are thinking about the implications for entry-level employees or interns.
Assignment Requirements
You will produce a short, ~4-5 page reference report for students attending the fair.
Consider carefully what questions your audience would have in this situation.
While you are not trying to persuade the audience to a particular course of action, the report is nevertheless a
persuasive document. You are presenting critical insights, drawn from your own experiences, your critical
thinking, and your research. In other words, you are making a claim about what is important, what should be
known. You must persuade the audience to take your assessment of the topic seriously.
Remember that your report is about the industry, primarily. Career and Professional Development Services does
not have the resources to produce a similar report for EVERY company at the fair; instead, one will be produced
for each industry that is represented at the fair. You will use one company as an “institutional case” – a closely
examined example of larger trends.
Your report must contain report-style framing material, such as a title page (including the title of your report, a
graphic, your name), sections and section headers, and a references list in APA format. This material does not
count towards the minimum length.

Option A or Option B

Option A: Visual and Performing Arts in the Community
Your presentation on the arts in your community caught the attention of your local town council. They have reached out to you and asked if you will write up a report to use as part of their efforts to raise money to support the arts from public and private donors. As a passionate advocate for the arts, your report should highlight the great examples of the visual and performing arts from your Week 1 presentation and explain why the arts deserve to be funded.

Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper in which you:
Provide examples of both visual and performing arts, along with specific terminology from the course to describe how a person encounters the arts.
Explain why the arts are important to humanity.
Include anecdotes from successful professionals (e.g., business leaders, entrepreneurs, celebrities)who explain why they are patrons of the visual and performing arts.
Explain how the arts contribute to a culture of diversity.

Include a reference page and format your references according to APA guidelines.

Use a citation generator, such as the Reference & Citation Generator in the Center for Writing Excellence for guidance on formatting your reference list using APA format. Option B: Visual and Performing Arts in Education
The local school board is considering cutting funding to the arts programs in your school. Your principal was impressed with the tours you gave and would like you to write a report on the value of the arts in your school. As a passionate advocate for the arts, your report should highlight the great courses and extracurricular activities from your Week 1 presentation and explain why the arts deserve to be funded.

Informative Speech Topic Proposal

Thiss Assignment has 2 parts
Please pay attention
For the first part which is Informative Speech I choose Elon Musk wich I will attach my assighnmet to you
But I got 0 grade with a bellow coment
so please choose oother persopn based on the ASsighnment and do the first part and then in a seperate attachment based on the same person you choose for first part continue the 2nd part

Professor coment
Hi . You will need to choose another topic unless you can prove to me that Mr. Musk is, indeed, a Peace Activist, which is a requirement for this speech. I put a “0” in the grade to get your attention and ensure you get this note. Once you propose a new person, I will grade it. Please have this done no later than Tuesday, March 21, by 11:59 PM.

Part 1
After reading the directions for the Informative Speech, answer the following questions in the text entry box.
Who have you chosen for the Informative Speech?
Why is the person of interest to you?
How /Why is this person worthy of your audience’s attention?
What do you anticipate covering in the Body of the speech? List your three main points

Part 2

You all have a topic for your Informative Speech. Now is the time to start composing. This assignment is in two parts and will help you develop both your beginning and ending.* Please answer the following prompts in the text box below.
As you will come to understand, it is very important to offer an attention-getting introduction. Now, consider your introduction and come up with two possible attention getters that you might use.
You will also understand the need to present a solid conclusion to your speech. Consider, now, your conclusion, and come up with two memorable clinchers.
* Of course these are just ideas at this point. Clearly, things can change as you begin actually working on your speech, but I wanted you to start thinking in this direction. Maybe try using some of the tactics listed below.
Jokes – People love to laugh. By telling a good joke early in the speech, you not only build your rapport with the audience, you also motivate to listen with the promise of more humor. Just make sure that the joke isn’t offensive and that it fits well with the rest of your speech.
Quotations – Quotations are great attention-getters. Typically, if a quotation has stood the test of time, it offers some sort of humor or insight that will interest the audience. Also. a good quote by a known author will enhance your credibility.
Anecdotes – A good story is a very effective attention-getter. If you tell a story about yourself, you can build your credibility, and the story will probably be more relevant to your audience.
Statistics – It’s a public speaking myth that statistics shouldn’t be used in speeches. If you use too many statistics, perhaps, it could be problematic. However, if you select a few really startling statistics that illustrate your point, they can be quite effective. If you are going to use a statistic as an attention-getter, make sure that it’s relevant and has a lot of impact.
Facts – Just as with statistics, you’re looking for relevance and impact.
Props – A visually interesting prop can be a good attention-getter. If the audience can’t figure out what it is or can’t figure out what the significance to your speech is (and you eventually explain of course) then you have a potentially effective attention-getter.
Audience Involvement – This involves asking the audience to become part of your speech. That could mean asking them a question (rhetorical or otherwise), asking them to do something physical (raise their hands, close their eyes). or asking them to think about something related to your speech.

Based on the article you selected, is the company a diverse and inclusive place to work? Why or why not?
Does the answer to question 1 above impact whether you would want to work at Google or Salesforce.com? Explain your answer.
