Resources.
Textbook: Human Resource Management (attached)
Article: The use of mobile learning technologies for corporate training and development: A contextual framework (attached).

Background Information.
Mobile learning technologies can be rolled out for the training and development of corporate employees. The training organizations can encourage their course participants to engage in self-directed learning and development through formal, informal, or microlearning contexts. Corporate educators and services providers of continuous professional training and development can use mobile learning applications to improve the employees’ skills and competencies. This may in turn lead to increased organizational productivities and competitiveness (Butler, Camilleri, Creed, and Zutshi, 2021, p. 18).

This assignment requires the reading and utilization of the concepts found in the Butler, et al. (2021) article entitled, The use of mobile learning technologies for corporate training and development: A contextual framework. A preview of that article is best obtained from its abstract:

This contribution has identified the contextual factors like the usefulness and the ease of use of m-learning applications (apps), individual learning styles and their motivations, time, spatial issues, integration with other learning approaches, as well as the cost and accessibility of them-learning technology. In conclusion, this contribution identifies future research avenues relating to the use of m-learning technologies among businesses and training organizations (Butler, et al. 2021, p. 1).

(3) Read both of the research articles; then, compile a paper that is 500-800 words in length using the headings below (in APA format) to address the following:
(a) M-Learning: Provide a brief summary of the Butler, et al article (no more than two to three paragraphs).
(b) What Will It Mean?: In your opinion, what will the rise of m-learning mean for professionals in the field of human resource management (HRM) and human resource development (HRD)? Be specific.
(c) What’s In Use?: What type of m-learning or e-learning is your present organization using for learning, if any? How so? If not, why not and where would be a good place to begin using social media for learning in the organization?
(d) Competencies: What competencies will HRM and HRD professionals need to succeed in this new paradigm? Why? How can these competencies be obtained?
(e) Techniques for Overcoming Organizational Challenges: Drawing from the assigned article and the one you selected, select one of the three organizational challenges listed below to explain in detail how that social media challenge might be specifically addressed in the context of your own organization.
(i) Types of barriers and obstacles (to m-learning and e-learning) within organizations
(ii) Influencing others (e.g., demonstrating business value, ROI) of the use of m-learning or e-learning
(iii) Approaches for user adoption of m-learning and e-learning (draw upon both articles)
(f) M-learning and e-learning: Determine which topics you need to know (and to what level of depth) based on relevance to your current job and to your career. Refer to the list of, m-learning framework on page 15 of the assigned article to assist you in your thinking. Focus only on the top three to five highest priority areas based on expected benefits to your organization and to you individually. (g) One-Page Action Plan:
(i) The written portion of the paper is to include one-two paragraphs that provide supporting information about your action plan and how it will be used.
(ii) The actual 200-300 word action plan is to be placed in the appendix of the paper. For the one-page action plan, you are to create a learning and development plan in graphic form (i.e., chart(s), table(s), picture(s), or other forms (s) of graphics) to close the gap. The plan is to be detailed and follow the guidelines of SMART goals (i.e., Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Relevant, and Timely). Its purpose is to be a visual model or table that will help you stay on target for achieving your identified goals within the timeframe identified. A number of images of one-page action plans can be found on the Internet.
(4) The paper should adhere to all APA requirements. Thoroughly edit the paper for mechanics (i.e., sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and spelling) prior to submitting the paper.
(5) For questions on APA Style, go to OCLS APA Writing Styles Guides.
(6) The 200-300 word graphic action plan is in addition to the written paper. There should be a minimum of one paragraph with a proper heading for each question in your written paper and a paper length of 500-800 words. The graphic action plan is in addition to the written paper. Do not include the questions in the paper.

Stanleys change

Having bad luck doesn’t set out your future. Stanley, the main character in the novel ‘Holes’ by Louis Sachar goes to a boy scout camp for bad kids because he was accused of stealing a famous player’s pair of trainers. In this essay I will argue that in your life you will have problems and troubles but you will always surpass them if you set out with others. Your life cannot be

At the beginning of the novel Stanley is accused of something he didn’t do and is sent to Camp Green Lake. His hopes and ideas turn into a nightmare the moment he stepped out of the bus. He arrives there feeling weak, lonely and overweight. When he arrives he’s shaky and blames his great-great-grandfather for the crime he did not do, when he started his first hole he was hurt and had blisters all over but he knew he had to continue his hole.

More days passed by and he had gotten used to digging holes everyday, he also started to notice his body started losing weight since he first came over-weight and now is gaining muscles by digging holes “His muscles had strengthened, and his hands were tough.” This is important because Stanley is compared to others in life because he started off doing hard work but then he found it easier digging holes everyday and adapted to his environment. People can relate to this because they have been through rough times in life but they have gotten past it and continued on.

By the end of the novel he finds himself happier with more self esteem and has a friend he can trust.
