The Structure of Media’s Effect on Culture Wars

I selected “writing”, but I do already have 2000~ words (linked as “Fisrt draft.pdf”) that can be re-written with feedback (linked as “direct feedback.pdf) I’ve been given so the actual thing to do is re-write 2000~ words using the feedback to see how far that gets you, and then write the remaining words to make up 3400 words~ not including the sources and title page, I used 10ish substantial sources so would like at least 3-4 more, which must be peer-reviewed, you should be able to find all the sourced I already used by their names in the citations of my paper.

I also provided directions.pdf which is a series of questions or directions on where you can take parts of paper
also, some of my ideas for viral ideas, and echo chambers are summarized well in the video by cgp grey: this video will make you angry

the whole thing is due next sunday, but I perfer it is done at least a few days earlier (hence the 5 day request)

In my feedback, it mentioned having a central idea/thesis statement, originally I’d put it in the wrong spot:
“Among the causes of culture war, it is this behavior of ideas in a medium that is least understood.” which I put in my abstract instead of a seperate introduction
I’m not married to that wording, so you can make a new thesis statement when, or use one of the sentences in the direction.pdf as one, as long as it jives well with the rest of the paper.

here is the direct wording of what is asked of me, (but dont do less then I asked in the request):

Your paper will be third person and grammatically correct in every way. This draft should reflect thought and effort and should be a step up from your first draft. Dig deeper. Set a timer and force yourself to discuss more in certain parts of your paper. You’ll be really surprised at how much more content and thought you can pull from your brain if you force yourself to write. Think about any other areas on your topic you can delve into. Polish it, make sure the sentences and paragraphs are well-constructed. Check for grammar. Read for flow. You’ve had an entire term to produce this paper, make it show. Reach out to me with any questions or problems along the way. I’m here, as always. And be proud of yourself! This is a huge accomplishment. minimum 9-12 pages (3000-4500 words REQUIRED) and 12-15 sources. These are MINIMUMS. The page number follows your chosen formatting style, MLA or APA. YOU MUST FOLLOW YOUR FORMATTING STYLE GUIDELINES EXACTLY. In addition, your sources must be peer reviewed. There are a ton of resources online for citation specifics, as I posted in the Announcement section, and as is in your book. OWL Purdue remains the best. Easybib and other sites are useful for creating your bibliography. Our book also lists many of these free, online resources. This implies 12 point font, 1 inch margins, double spaced, and appropriate paragraphs. **Your paper and overall grade will be significantly marked down if it does not adhere to MLA or APA guidelines.

finally, if there is anything else you need from me in order to complete this, i’ll try to respond quickly

Database

Each student is identified by a unique Panther ID, a name composed by first and last name, and a unique email address.
A course is identified by a unique course Id, a name, a 5-digits section number (ex. 23334), and the term in which the course is being offered.
A term is identified by a 4-digits term Id, a name, start and end date. The 4-digits Id is in the format 1 + two digits year + 1 (Spring) / 5 (Summer) / 8 (Fall). For example, the Id for the current Fall 2022 semester is 1228, for Spring 2023 is 1231, for Summer 2023 is 1235, and so forth.
Courses can be offered in different terms, and there might be courses that have not been offered in any term yet.
Each course has a grading scale, which specifies the minimum points required for each letter grade (A, B, C, D). For example, COP4703 requires 90 points for an A, 80 points for a B, 70 points for a C, and 60 points for a D.
Students are enrolled in courses offered each term. Students can be enrolled in zero or more courses offered.
Each offered course has one or more grading components, such as midterm exam, final exam, assignments, projects, etc…
Each grading component has a name, total points (Ex. 100, 50, etc..), and a numeric weigh that represents percentage of final grade. For example, the midterm exam has a total of 100 points and represents 25% of final grade.
A student enrolled in a course will have a grade for each grading component associated to the course and also a final grade for the entire course.
