history of substance abuse counseling; the development of state,
national, and international drug policies; laws; and the impact of each
on substance abusers and substance abuse counseling. In this Discussion,
reflect on how history, policies, and laws will impact you in your work
as a substance abuse counselor. Consider the impact that substance
abuse has on society and how you might work to create a broader social
change beyond the individual substance abuse client.

Conduct an academic search in the Lamar University Library and select
an article from a peer-reviewed journal that discusses laws, policies,
or prevention.
Consider the role you might like to take as an advocate to impact policy, law, or prevention initiatives.

Describe and compare the attributes, special considerations, and the work that is required to conduct Benefits Realization Management, Organizational Project Management, and Earned Value Management on a Project that is within your career area. Even if you dont use these methods, write about what it would be like and mean for the Project to use these techniques. Provide an analysis of the Benefits and Risks associated with each approach. What knowledge or perspectives will you gain and what might you miss in each approach? Provide a conclusion in which you discuss your preferred technique and any Lessons Learned or Recommendations from this exercise.

Create an Evaluation Matrix Chart in Excel that will let you compare the 3 careers/positions at technology companies side by side on each criterion.
What should be in the matrix are the
the 3 technology careers/positions (i.e., system analysis, software engineer, help desk technician) to evaluate, the 5 criteria to be used, and how you personally weigh each criterion. Divide 100 points among the criteria, with the highest number of points going to the most important criteria for you.

Total the ratings to get a raw score to show which career/position scored the best.

For your assignment this week, please design a one day menu for your 3, 6 and 14 year old children that meets the RDA’s in the link provided. Please indicate for each child your total servings at the end of the day.
You can figure on 3 meals and 1-2 snacks. Please try to be realistic about fast foods, restaurants or home cooking.
Also you must decide whether or not you will be cooking 4 separate meals (for each age and yourself) or how to best cover your bases with similar meals for all. (Many parents end up eating leftovers.)
