Defend a position on an issue that reasonable people currently disagree about. 2-3 pages, a minimum of two sources representing differing positions on the issue.

For this essay, find an issue that you want to write about. The point of the essay is to defend your own position on the issue. If you are having difficulty coming up with an issue you may want to look at Procon.org; a website that has information on many current issues. Refer to the Analytic essay skills rubric listed in module 1.

Remember, a minimum of two sources are required, one that agrees with you, and one that defends a different point of view.
