PHASE 1 – PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
Select a process from an organization you work for or are familiar with. Make
sure it’s a process you are able to collect data and process statistics.
Create a flowchart of the current state or as-is process using Microsoft Word,
PowerPoint, Vizier, or Excel and evaluate how well your process operated
(efficiency and effectiveness) of your process using process improvement
techniques.
Next ascertain how the process can be improved based on the results of your
evaluation and define process metrics and measure the current state
process. Use process improvement techniques to improve the process. Create
a flow chart of the improved process using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Vizier, or
Excel.
Use your professional judgment and what you learned this week to ascertain
how the future state process will perform according to your metrics.
Phase 2 – Evaluation
Evaluate your process using either lean concepts to find ways to eliminate waste
and improve the process and/or SQC or Six Sigma to reduce defects or
variances in the process
Then complete the following in Excel:
• chart and Compute the defined process metrics including process
capability and process variation.
• Create and display a control chart for the process.
Analyze the control process metrics using Statistical Quality/Process Control
(SQC) methods. Decide whether the process could benefit from the use of Six
Sigma, Lean, or other tools. (Include all calculation and charts)
Executive Summary
Write a 700-to-850-word executive summary which includes the following:
• A brief description of the process based on the flowchart of processes
current state • Explain the results of your process evaluation and how the weak points
can be strengthened. Include a description of the process improvement
technique(s) used.
• Provide a brief description of future state process improvements
• Using the metrics chosen to evaluate process current state estimate how
you anticipate the future process will perform
• Provide a brief description of your process improvement project to
achieve the process future state
• A summary of the Process Evaluation (using either Lean or SQC or Six
Sigma)
• A summary of the evaluation of the control chart and process metrics
based on other tools
• A description of the SQC project and recommendations.
Cite references (including some peer reviewed) to support your assignment.
Provide a list of references and format your citations according to APA
guidelines

If you are a business major, how do you define the purpose of economics?
After reading Karma (p. 93-p.106) and Our Precious Human Life (p.120-p.126,) of “Open Heart, Clear Mind”, state the role of ethics by referring to the Buddhist teachings (e.g., Right Livelihood.)
Some examples of how you would be able to develop your thoughts on your paper are:
-If you would engage in business (an entrepreneur) or work as a medical professional in the future, how do you define ethics in your workplace? Why is it needed?
-Suppose that you are working as a medical professional, explore the story of a moral dilemma during the classroom discussions (e.g., the issue of euthanasia and animal experiments.)
-If you are a business major, how do you define the purpose of economics? Is it possible to balance consumerism and the notion of Buddhism (e.g., Zen way of living)?
Your essay should be full five pages (1500 words) in length, 12 points, Double Space excluding the title, and the reference page.

Write an essay in which you apply Reading 3
Write an essay in which you apply Reading 3
For this essay, you will apply DeGhett’s reading as a “lens” to analyze censorship in relation to deception of the public. You may also incorporate a recent war and or similar example that deals with censorship, whether recent or past tense. As DeGhett’s piece centers around the Gulf War and the photo the U.S. determined “too gruesome to publish”; I want you to consider this and the effect it has on how people then perceive violence and atrocities of war. For example, a great and disheartening point made by DeGhett in their piece demonstrates: “But if I don’t take pictures like these, people like my mom will think war is what they see in movies” (138). You should also think of Stillman’s essay (Reading 2) “Hiroshima: Inheritance of Trauma”. Albeit, Stillman does not discuss censorship; however, I want you to consider the hypothetical here. What if it was decided that Stillman’s interview with Komiko Shoji was “too much” for the public? What information is lost, that is ultimately invaluable? How did Stillman’s piece make you reevaluate war and war trauma? Consider this as you contemplate DeGhett’s point that censorship at one time becomes deceitful. “Sometimes thought, omitting an image means shielding the public from the messy, imprecise consequences of a war –making the coverage incomplete, and even deceptive” (135). Your essay should depend primarily on specific details from your selected example as well as the assigned reading.
Using this article from jstor data base explain how it shows a parrallel to censorship when being comparered to deghett. Mention the picture of the falling man to help provide additional essay strength. also explain how the photo of the falling man and burning man from deghett show form
