Political Science Research Paper – PA Courts and SPSS analysis

This paper is for my senior Seminar Political Science class. The research question is “Are Pennsylvania Courts of Common Pleas effective when looking at disposition rates from 1993-2020?” I have already written the Literature Review and the Method+Hypothesis sections, and they are attached below. The data that I am analyzing comes from annual caseload stastics of Pennsylvania courts of common pleas, and the relevant stats come from Judicial system. I have added in the excel sheet I compiled the data on. All of the sources that are required have already been found and cited. There is no need to cite and use them. The only part of the paper that needs to be written is the actual calculation and use of ANOVA in SPSS to determine the realtionship of the variables effectiveness and year of elections. If you have any questions, you can always message me and ask.

Identify 3 trends/issues in, and related to corporate social responsability today. Compare these trends against the history of the past. This means to say, were the trends always in this direction? Did something happen to change the direction of the CSR trend to where it is today?

The Evolution of Humanism

Renaissance Presentation
Overview:
The Renaissance was a period of transformative change not only in the area of the arts but across a variety of different areas. You may choose what topic you would like to research. You must choose a topic that is broad enough to provide you with enough material, yet also choose a topic that is not too broad and unfocused.
This is a research project, which means that you must find historical sources and use them to support your topic. You must cite all of the required sources in a slide on the last page of your presentation. You will figure out your own Topic and I would recommend finding something you find interesting. For example, if you love music, select a topic that looks at music in the Renaissance. If you like architecture, take a look at some of the magnificent structures built in this period. This is a multimedia presentation and must contain both voice and images.
Using Microsoft PowerPoint or similar program you will explore your topic in a 5-8 minutes using a minimum of 8 slides. Audio is a requirement. You can insert audio into the presentation or upload yourself making a presentation to youtube or any other platform that I can view. The last slide should have works cited page using the format of APA or Chicago Manual of Style. Only scholarly and academic resources are acceptable. This project will be graded on quality of research, organization, and presentation.

journals review

Write a review for each of the two journal articles attached with this assignment. Each review must not exceed 1000 words in length. Each review should give a quick summary of the research and the research question, highlight the strong features as well as the shortcomings of each paper and suggest some ways of improving the papers. You can frame some of your comments as questions just like in a “real” review. You can make use of other references to strengthen your cases. The two reviews should be independent from one another but should be submitted in the same document. References for the two articles are:

Explain what the author means in saying that “Creating a cartography of coyote space is an act of resistance” (Alvitre 45).

Coyote Tours” by Cindi Moar Alvitre, from LAtitudes
Assignment: Write a well-developed one-paragraph response to “Coyote Tours” that takes a closer look at a key concept in the text.
Details: Please choose ONE of the following questions to explore in your response:
Explain what the author means in saying that “Creating a cartography of coyote space is an act of resistance” (Alvitre 45). In what way? What is “coyote space”? Consider how this “cartography” might subvert dominant narratives.
Alvitre writes, “Yaangna may be buried beneath a gentrified LA, but somehow its soul continues to travel through the city” (47). How does the “soul” or history of a place continue to exist even after it has been seemingly erased? How can landscape reflect history?
Alvitre writes, “Our elders define their very identity by environmental markers” (46). How does environment influence identity (of the people or of the place itself)? What sort of “identity” do the plants and trees of Los Angeles create?
How do you think “European intrusion” (Alvitre 44) has affected both the native people and the native plants of Los Angeles? How is Los Angeles shaped by both the native and the nonnative?
Submission: Either upload a file with your reading response, or type your response directly into the Text Entry option when you click “Submit Assignment.”

ACT 2 of proof prewriting

Finish reading Act II of Proof. Choose one character from Proof to analyze. Answer the following questions in detail, providing evidence from the play when possible.
Consider the following to better understand the character you have chosen to analyze:
1. The character’s background, words, actions, appearance, interactions with other characters.
2. Does the character change during the course of the work? Or does he or she fail to change? What does this reveal about the character?
3. How would the work be different if the character were excluded? (Go beyond the obvious).
4. How would the work be different if the character had made different choices?
5. What motivates the character to act or not to act?
After completing these questions, begin narrowing to three traits that describe the character you have chosen to analyze.
