Purpose Statement: Describe why an evaluation or problem is being proposed or was conducted including your research questions or hypothesis.
Literature review: The purpose of the literature review is to demonstrate your ability to research and synthesize scholarly literature and present results in a clear, systematic fashion. You must also demonstrate your ability to critically analyze various positions, compare and contrast strengths and weaknesses of extant evidence.

Participants
This section should include the following elements: (a) the target population or sample (to which it is hoped the findings will be applicable) should be defined, consistent with the Statement of the Problem and the Research Question(s) sections; (b) the population from which the sample will actually be drawn should be specified (this should also include demographic information such as age, gender, and ethnicity); and (c) procedures for selecting the sample should be outlined, including justification for the sampling method (i.e., sampling procedure).
Instruments
This section will detail each data-collection instrument (including interview guides). Procedures
Design. The design is the actual structure or framework that provides the “when,” or time in which data will be collected (e.g., correlational approach with a predictive design). The specific type of design should be discussed and supported with a citation.
Data collection procedures. Detail how the data will be collected (i.e., the methodological steps). Write this section in future tense. Convert to past tense where appropriate once data have been collected. The Procedures section is based directly on the research questions and the design of choice (i.e., this is the “how to” section of the examination) and should be written step by step in a linear fashion with a timeline. Steps pertaining to the control of issues related to internal and external validity should be discussed here.
Data analysis procedures. Indicate the appropriate data analyses that will be used in the investigation. These data analyses should be based on the research questions and the research design selected for the study. Specify the procedures for reducing and coding the data. For quatitative studies, subsequent data analyses should include summary descriptive statistics and inferential statistical tests (e.g., independent or dependent t test, ANOVA, and chi-square). For qualitative studies, the procedures to be followed for the analyses must also be addressed

What determines success in the restaurant industry in your own town?

What determines success in the restaurant industry in your own town?
To carry this out, you decide it is worthwhile to collect the knowledge, opinions, and beliefs of current and aspiring customers. Your assignment is to develop a qualitative research report based on reviews of different restaurants you can find in your town. Write a brief memo on your methodology, analyze data, and provide conclusions.
Tips:
1. Pick 3-4 restaurants (or Café) in your own town that each has at least 40 written google reviews. It is better to not only include restaurants that have a very high or low overall review. Include a combination of restaurants in your sample.
2. Randomly pick minimum 25 written reviews from each restaurant and analyze the data. If you need more data, you may search for other social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.
3. Follow the steps required to analyze the acquired qualitative data. Make sure you come up with a code sheet, maybe a word cloud, tabulation, co-mentions, etc.
4. While it is not required to look at other sources, but to familiarize yourself with the restaurants, you may want to take a look at their Facebook page, their website, etc., if needed.
5. Write a qualitative research report. Your report must be between 2-3 pages (double space, font 12, excluding appendix, cover page, code sheet, etc.). There is no page limit for the appendices, however, make sure you only include the appendix when it is necessary. Submit your word or pdf report on Brightspace before or by the due date.
6. Chapter 9 has some useful exhibits to have an idea on how to conduct your research. For instance, exhibit 9.2 has a sample code sheet, ex. 9.3 provides a sample coding process, ex. 9.3 and 9.4 have some tabulation tables, and Appendix A (page 255) has a sample written report.
7. It is expected to have an insightful report at the end. Try to avoid general conclusions such as “improve quality” or “make sure prices are competitive”. These recommendations are more like a common sense, they really don’t require research. Your report has to be practical with real insight for the restaurant owners on how to run their business. Again, consider your research question when preparing your report.

Write a paper explaining how you would use OneDrive to save your files, whether it’s for school, work or personal reasons.

Start your assignment by reviewing all of the resources.
Your assignment this week is to explain how you use (or will use) OneDrive to store your files. This is your OneDrive Storage Plan and explains why you have made the decisions you are making about this plan. Provide enough details to fully explain how you’ll organize your files and folders using OneDrive along with your reasoning. You can include an image or screenshot showing how you’re using your OneDrive account. You could also draw a picture to show your folders and subfolders. What I’m looking for is that you have logically considered how to store and access your files using OneDrive, so you’ll be able to find them when you need to.
Write a paper explaining how you would use OneDrive to save your files, whether it’s for school, work or personal reasons. As a part of your assignment, develop your storage plan for how to organize your files using OneDrive. If you just start saving all your work (perhaps from more than one class) to your OneDrive account, eventually, you’ll have so many documents, pictures, and other types of files that it’ll be hard to remember what you named a specific document and you’ll have a hard time finding it! What I recommend is that you create a couple of folders. Give your folders appropriate names such as CIS121, CISXXX, and Pictures. This way your files will stay organized and you’ll be able to find them when you need them!
